2021 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best
Tucked into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley on 50 acres lies Steeles Tavern Manor. We invite you to our 1916-built Virginian manor house located halfway between the historic towns of Lexington and Staunton. The Inn offers five guest rooms and suites with gas or electric fireplaces and private baths with double Jacuzzi tubs. In addition to the bedrooms in the manor, there are three cabin rentals available. Two cabins are on a high ridge with sweeping views of the valley and one cabin is located on our catch and release fishing pond. All have the luxuries needed for a romantic vacation: king-sized bed, private outdoor hot tub, living room with gas fireplace, full kitchens, gas grills & more. Roam the grounds to enjoy views of our pond, the rolling stream or our in-ground swimming pool.

My now husband and I stayed in the new Mountain View private cabin and wow. We are so lucky to have found STM and their perfect cabins nestled in the Shenandoah Valley. The location is great - not far from DC or from wonderful hiking opportunities, the town of Staunton is charming and has excellent farm-to-table restaurants. Trey and Dana made us feel so welcome (even though we never met!) by leaving us a special message for our mini-moon, and the special touches like luxurious robes, heated bathroom floors, electric fireplace, not to mention the private hot tub with sweeping views of the rolling hills that light up at sunset. We were so comfortable, so at peace, and so happy to have such beautiful surroundings while we made precious memories as a newly married couple. Thank you, Trey and Dana!

Lara, congratulations on your wedding and thanks for celebrating your mini-moon with us in our Mountain View cabin! The Mountain View cabin is the newest of 5 cabins and was completed this spring. We chose it's location for the sweeping views of the Valley and the Allegheny Mountains in the distance. In the evenings the deer usually come out of the woods to feed in the fields just below the cabin. We're so happy you enjoyed yourselves! Please visit again soon...maybe for your 1st anniversary! Dana and Trey

Our wife recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and stayed at STM. Our experience was phenomenal. Our room was comfortable, the morning breakfast by Dana was gourmet and the afternoon social time was enjoyable and allowed us to meet and interact with the other guests.

Lorrie, thanks for choosing to stay with us during the VMI Parents' Weekend. Seeing all the parents with their (tired) cadets brings back memories of when our son was a cadet. We're glad you enjoyed yourselves while here. We hope you'll make us your "home away from home" for the next four years. Until next time... Dana and Trey

Beautiful setting, charming manor house, and excellent food. The room was very comfortable and roomy with a sitting area. Owners are very welcoming and had great suggestions for things to do in the area. It’s easy to find and very quiet. Highly recommend a visit and will suggest to our friends and family.
