Came down for family weekend at JMU. All places booked in Harrisonburg. Found this place which was 30 minutes away & booked it. So happy we did. From the minute we walked into this beautiful home, the service was over the top. We were greeted by Jeff & shown to immaculately clean room that was beautifully furnished. Everything that you could possibly need was in the room & then some. The breakfast that Jeff & his wife prepared in the morning was beyond delicious. The only downfall was when we had to leave, but on the bright side, our daughter has 3 more years at JMU, so I know we will be back.
My wife and I stayed here while visiting our daughter at college. The rooms are gorgeous, the breakfast is delicious, and Jeff and his wife went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. And the location is in perfect proximity to the shops and restaurants in Staunton. Highly recommend!!!
We had an amazing time with Jeff and Bonnie. The couple have made the Berkeley house into one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and clean. Their really thoughtful and their hospitality shows through every detail. From the high quality soaps/shampoos/conditioners to the Tesla charger available to guests to the tasty and generous breakfasts, this was a great place to stay. Jeff even accommodated my husband's gluten allergy, and still managed to make the best cookies, breads, and waffles. We felt safe during the pandemic with limited and distanced guests. This was a perfect way to spend our 10 year anniversary. We'll be coming back soon!!
My husband and I stayed for two night at Berkeley House Bed & Breakfast. During our stay, we visited the Green Valley Book Fair, several antique stores and our daughter (main reason for our trip) who lives not too far from Staunton. If we had more time, we would have definitely taken advantage of the Shakespeare Theatre and Staunton's historic district. The breakfasts were exceptional!
My husband and I stayed at Berkeley Bed & Breakfast for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jeff and Bonnie were great hosts. We spoke mostly to Jeff who filled us in on good restaurants and wineries, very helpful! Jeff was also the breakfast cook and made the most amazing omelets, dutch pancakes and mini-souffles. Everyone was socially distanced at breakfast, but we still had the ability to talk to others. We felt totally pampered. Every afternoon, cookies were available for snitching on. Our room was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and the bed comfortable. We even had our own mini-refrigerator to store bottled water and wine. Our main reason for staying in Staunton was to do some hiking in Shenandoah Park, which we did, but we also got to visit the Woodrow Wilson museum (Wilson was born in Staunton) which was an added plus. I recommend taking the docent tour if you can. Thank you Jeff and Bonnie for a memorable stay!…
