We held our wedding at Orlesa Farms and we were thrilled by all aspects of the experience. Our wedding took place in January and had a beautiful, light snow. The staff at Orlesa Farms went above and beyond to help us navigate driving in the winter weather and ensuring that all our guests could arrive and depart safely. The venue is beautiful, and Matt and Erin were fantastic. They were receptive to all our ideas, worked well with our wedding planner, and they were accommodating to all our requests relating to guests.
My wife and I spent this past weekend at Orlesa Farms to attend the first of their Music, Wine & Dine Series! This was our fourth trip to “The Farm” and the first with the new owners, Matt and Erin. They are amazing hosts - very friendly, outgoing and attentive to one’s needs! We had an amazing time too - very relaxing and enjoyable - and left feeling like we had made a couple of new friends. Our room in The Barn was amazing (all of them are) and included outstanding views of the beautiful rolling hills of the farm and the Shenandoah Valley from our private balcony! The Music, Wine & Dine event was quite enjoyable and gave us the opportunity to meet new people or just sit and listen to the music. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend! So…if you’re ever in the Staunton, VA area, or just looking for a really amazing place to get away, we highly recommend Orlesa Farms! We have never been disappointed and know Matt and Erin will do whatever they can to make your stay a wonderful, lasting memory!…
We recently stayed at Orlesa Farms as part of a group for business. The hosts were welcoming, kind and patient (we had a few unforeseen travel delays and changes) but the hosts kept in touch throughout to make sure everyone had the instructions they needed for their arrival. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and there is a main area with a fridge, microwave and coffee machine, which is ideal for a group to relax together in the evenings. I stayed in the Derbyshire Room, the bed was very comfortable and there is a spacious bathroom and a kitchen area in the room. The door leads to a fabulous view and you can sit outside with a coffee and take in the surroundings, it’s so peaceful. The hosts really looked after our group during our stay with such care and attention and it’s the personal touches that make this place special. I will definitely return to stay here. The only downside (and no fault of the accommodation) there is limited taxi service in the area, so for those who are not driving, you will need to ensure you have a few taxi numbers to hand, as taxis are difficult to come by in general around Staunton!…
My husband and I were the parents of the bride at her recent 3/26/22 wedding. I have nothing but good to say about Orlesa Farms, both the facility itself and the owners/staff. They were accommodating, responded in a timely manner to our plethora of questions, allowed us to visit the site on numerous occasions to iron out details, and offered a product (the facility) that was beyond any other that I know of in the Shenandoah Valley. In fact, when my daughter shared her wish list, I responded, "I think you'll need to have your wedding in Italy to tick all those boxes. You just won't find all of that here," or something very similar. In addition, the guesthouse (where the groom housed all his out of town guests) was gorgeous. The rooms were large, immaculately clean, boasted extra amenities, and were tastefully appointed. Orlesa Farms is not far from civilization, but once you drive into the acreage, you feel like you are wholly secluded--very restful.…
We recently were there with family and close friends for a wedding. For the whole weekend, the place was ours. We were treated like special guests. From Friday evening rehearsal and dinner through Sunday a.m. brunch, staff went out of their way to make sure all went well. This included rolling with some changes in plans caused by weather and COVID concerns. I think they genuinely wanted us to have the best experience possible. I think all would agree that we did.
Planned on just staying and going hiking since warmer weather around Christmas than normal, instead, we stayed on the property and relaxed! WOW!! View from our Room is amazing. We had planned to go on the Skyline but we decided to just spend the day on the property and relax. Very nice setting and you can tell the owners real value their guests. Thanks for letting us enjoy the property Thanks again, It was Too Short of Stay!! We will be back!
My husband treated me to a birthday getaway! We actually live in Staunton wanted to get away but not have to drive a long distance. Found this hidden gem online. Beautiful, quiet, peaceful! Just what we needed! The room was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. There was a welcome basket with goodies for you. Coffee maker and everything you need for a hot beverage! Fireplace, jacuzzi, small kitchenette, the only thing you needed to bring was clothing! They had a selection of books, magazines, DVD’s during your visit. We were met by Maegan who got us settled in and also met the owners Matt and Erin with their children. Very nice and checked in every day to make sure we were happy and if there was anything we needed. Highly recommend a stay here you will not be disappointed!! Thank you so much for a beautiful and relaxing weekend!! Lisa and Sean Cole…
Our stay was great experience. It’s a convenient location close to downtown Staunton and with beautiful surroundings. The private room and common areas were very clean and comfortable with great amenities. I would highly recommend!!!
Really enjoyed the quality of the rooms and friendliness of the staff. The views were amazing from the room and super close to everything! Only a short drive over to the blue ridge parkway and Shenandoah National Park. Would highly recommend Orlesa Farms to anyone looking for a cozy place to enjoy their time.
We were delighted to discover this getaway spot in Staunton, VA, just 2.5 hours from our home in Northern VA. Our room in the Barn building was spacious, had a gas fireplace, offered a lovely view, had a comfy king size bed and a big gorgeous bathroom with an awesome tub. The new owners were really friendly and checked in with us over text to make sure everything was going well with our stay. In addition to the accommodations, the town of Staunton (just 3 miles away) is a hidden gem! We spent a whole morning exploring this adorable town with its boutiques/shops, cafes, upscale restaurants and lots of other things to do. We had tickets to see "The Christmas Carol" at the Blackfriars Playhouse, but we put those on hold due to a spike in the COVID numbers (thanks Omicron). We have a running tradition of couples retreats and Orlesa Farms is one we will definitely plan to return to!…
