This was our second visit. We visited for 1 night in Oct 2019 and loved it. We came back to celebrate our anniversary in Feb 2020. Katherine and Brian are wonderful hosts and are warm and friendly. The Inn is small (9 rooms) with each having a private bathroom and the rooms are spotless, well furnished and very comfortable. It is surrounded by farmland is quiet and peaceful. It is a short drive into town where they have several very nice restaurants. The breakfast provided is delicious and not a generic scrambled eggs and bacon. The stuffed French toast was fantastic. They also provide bottled water and soft drinks for the rooms. We had a wonderful stay and definitely plan on going again.
The Inn has been a favorite of ours for some years, but the new owners, Brian and Katherine, have upgraded the experience considerably. Spacious, beautifully furnished rooms, several with fireplaces, added to the charm and comfort of our winter visit. The bucolic setting - a neighboring farm's herd is always in view - add to the peaceful, relaxing environment. For pet owners, there are dog friendly rooms available. Breakfast is a true feast, and the Inn is only ten minutes from the highly regarded restaurants in Staunton.
We stayed at WestShire for our 45th aniversary. We have stayed at numerous B&B's and by far, this was the most enjoyable. The rooms were spotless nicely decorated and had great views of the rolling hills and mountains. The breakfasts were Superb!! However, what we enjoyed most was the hospitality of all the staff. The Inn Keepers, Katherine and Brian made us feel like family, and they left no stone unturned, when it came to making our stay so wonderful!
Spotless, charming, comfortable, delicious. Glass breakfast room could not be lovelier with views to a rolling hill, and cows, though so close to delightful foodie town of Staunton. Gracious “do anything for you” owners. Stayed in the separate building behind the main house which has its own large common room with game table, lots of board games, DVDs, coffee station. Would be such fun to bring friends or family back for a group stay. Plus, a quality Yamaha Grand piano in main house!
We stayed one night while traveling thru the area. Beautiful property; cordial hosts; comfortable rooms; and, excellent breakfast. The Inn is several minutes drive from downtown Staunton and is conveniently located near I-81. Also, a short drive to the southern entrance of Skyline Drive[which I would highly recommend visiting]. We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn and hope to return when we visit the area again.
