Super place for a night or a month! We visit for a relaxing night out or a week of fun times. Great for kids to fish, hayride or swim! The ducks are always entertaining and the turtles love dough balls. There are resident cats that are loveable and ready for your attention!

We stayed here with our 24' travel trailer twice, in July 2015 and in August 2015. The campground is very nice, has beautiful scenic views, cable TV, somewhat spotty wi-fi, a nice store, and very friendly help. I believe it was built on an old walnut plantation. Facilities were quite adequate.

Got away for a night out to Staunton KOA and it was wonderful. Had a primitive tent site. Wonderful people who helped bring firewood and were very useful on multiple occasions. Will come and stay again!

Beautiful KOA, excellent efficient check-in, immaculate restrooms and showers. Caught bluegills in the pond. Had a beautiful, pondside site. Great campground, features many different cabins if you don't have camping gear. Historic registration building situated in a 1700's plantation stable building.

These people are awesome and warm hearted. My daughter was born with a Syndrome called Moebius and she is in and out of the hospital several times per year.. For this Christmas she wanted to see New York, thanks to our local church in Greenville South Carolina a family down in Connecticut sponsored us at their home for a couple... More

Spent two nights here on our way to and from Colonial Williamsburg to help break up the long drive. The one room camper cabin was great and on the back part of the campground in a nice wooded area. It was a bit chilly the nights we stayed and they had a nice heating unit setup already heating the cabin... More

The campground is well laid out and had plenty of shady spots (since we were late in the season). The people were very friendly. Although it isn't very close to Stanton, there is a wonderful, German restaurant within five miles. I'd stay here again just to go to the restaurant. Overall, a good solid campground. Restrooms were clean.

Our first stay at KOA Staunton visiting family locally. Easily located just off Interstate 81. Check in quick and friendly. Drive up to sites at highest level somewhat tight for our 42ft Diesel Pusher, but not worse than others we've driven. Site was a nice pull thru with picnic table and easy hook ups. Site is rigged to handle two... More

We stopped here for one night while traveling and enjoyed our short stay. It is geared to be a family friendly campground (as majority of KOA's are). The staff was knowledgeable and courteous enough to put us in a "upper" area, away from the lake, playground, pool, etc, where it was quieter so we could rest and get a good... More

Spent the weekend in a cabin at Walnut Hills KOA. Upon arrival greeted by very friendly & helpful staff. Our cabin was very quaint & had all the atmosphere of a log cabin with all the amenities if a fine hotel! Disputes the rainy weekend we had a great time! Will be making a return trip to this beautiful area!
