My boyfriend and I stayed at Lydia Mountain Cabins (the Snuggle Den) for a weekend in February. The cabins are quintessential log cabins with big fireplaces and personal hot tubs. It's a great break from the city, and not difficult to get to at all, even during D.C. Friday afternoon rush hour.

My husband and I stayed in Cabin #8(The Shadows) for the weekend for a wedding. Our cabin was nice and clean perfect for a couple. Cabin had a fully equipped Kitchen. Everything was spectacular except the bed. For the love of god they need to replace the mattress, it was the worst bed we have ever slept on. It was...

Phenomenal weekend with friends at Dancing Bear! The cabin is fully equipped, you only bring food and beverages and you are all set. It is so relaxing you don't want to leave it at all. The sunrise from the balcony is amazing, star gazing at night is out of this world, chilling with a glass of wine by the fireplace...

Third time back to this hidden gem in the woods and love it more every time! Took the kids this time to tubing at Massanutten which is only 30 mins away. Tons of fun for the kiddos and adults. The house has 2 wood burning fireplaces, hot tub (my daughter went in 3 times), fire pit, super comfy beds, tons...

My family has now visited Lydia three times. We have stayed in "Just Luvin," "three bears," and "fantasy hideaway." All three visits were fabulous. All three cabins were fantastic. It has become our favorite weekend getaway. Heading down again in march. We look forward to many visits in the future. Lydia is great for seeing nature (Shenandoah Park), history (Monticello,...

We travelled 2 hours from DC for a relaxing getaway weekend. Nice modern clean cabins that are fully equipped with sheets, towels, pots and pans, cable TV, microwave, wine refrigerator, comfortable beds, gas fireplace and hot tub. Very spacious for 4 people. Make sure you pack all of your own food and drinks as the closest store seems to be...

4 day stay over Thanksgiving with 13 people. Plenty of sleeping room for all. Cabin was in excellent shape, clean and well taken care of . Large laundry room, 2 futons and a full and upper twin on the lower level with Fooseball table. Upstairs kitchen/living area a bit small for 13 people but it has a beautiful porch overlooking...

Cabin is very small--approximately 540 sq ft. As would be expected the bedrooms are very small--think RV sized. Living/dining area adequate. Decent sized bathroom. Nice front and back porches. No cellular service (T-Mobile). Verizon and ATT functioned fine. Steep, private road access on a one-lane, unpaved road. Had to get a running start for my Prius to make it to...

We arrived at night so it was pretty hard to find the actual cabin (terrible signage and no lighting to direct us in the middle of nowhere), but once we found it, we LOVED it. The cabin was spotless and modern. When we walked around the mountain, we noticed that our cabin seemed the most secluded so we were very...

Our cabin was charming, spotless, with all the modern conveniences. It did not have wi-fi, but TV and cell coverage. We were well pleased. I enjoyed setting on both the deck and patio. Plus the hot tub on the deck, in the midst of nature was great. Very well built and maintained.
