The staff from reception to restaurant to cleaning were friendly and efficient. Highlights of the breakfast buffet were the fluffy scrambled eggs and olive oil roasted potatoes with fresh parsley - served by Chef Shah! The free shuttle to the shopping mall and metro train was convenient.

Stayed one night while in town on business. I arrived early and was pleased to see designated diamond member parking. There seemed to be plenty but when I went to my car later that night, I didn’t see an open spot anywhere. Hotel staff were friendly. Room was clean. Pillows and bed comfortable. The TV could be updated. The remote was old and changing channels took a long time to load. No menu or guide feature, you have to change the TV to channel 2 to see it and then it advances the menu on its own. Wallpaper in the room was starting to split, crown molding cracked and with gaps. The room was dark, they had plenty of lamps but you have to walk to each of them and turn them off, followed by the same to turn everything off. Houlihan’s inside the hotel was a joke and they were left a separate review. Dinner was way to much for a poor quality meal with poor quality food. Complimentary breakfast through Hilton left a lot to be desired as the food was cold...and they charge $15 for that? Again, food left on the plate and left.
Thought it was a little strange that housekeeping knocked on my room at 9 AM on a checkout day...
Would I stay again? Yes. Would I find somewhere else to eat? Yes. I know refurbishing hotel rooms is expensive and maybe it doesn’t need a full rehab but maybe a good Maintanance staff to fix scratches, re-glue wallpaper, and redo the caulking.

We have stayed here twice now, and the rooms are well appointed. There is a shopping mall across the road for any forgotten items. The staff at each and every location always delivers service that is a notch above the rest, and this particular location has a housekeeping staff that saved us a huge headache.

My son left his wallet in the room as we checked out, and neglected to say anything for about two weeks when we were about to go log some driving time for his learners permit. I called the hotel on the thinnest hope they would have found and held onto his wallet. I received a call from the executive housekeeper the following business day. Not only did they find the wallet but had been trying to contact me. My phone has been invaded by robocalls and I rarely pick up unfamiliar numbers anymore, though. When I finally called them back to confirm we had under left the item, they were willing to drop it in the mail for us.

The fantastic staff saved the day and spared us a huge hassle of replacing several official and financial items. Thank you, house keeping!!!

We had to change plans on our long drive north and found this Hilton at last minute. It was very well located to get on and off major highways but not so close as to hear road noise.
Rooms were were clean with Sanitized stickers thru out. Staff wore masks except for 1 check in staff member who put her mask next to her. She did not have gloves on but touched our credit card and room keys (which we wiped down ourselves). This is why hilton gets only a 4.
The ac units are in room are noisy
There is no food here; coffee machine in room although we opted for Dunkin’ Donuts which is 5 min away.
Beds are very comfortable.

The hotel is well situated in the heart of Northern Virginia. The metro station is close by for anyone visiting Washington DC. Unfortunately there was no shuttle service to the station provided by the hotel. With that being said, the staff informed me that they could call a taxi to take us there at no cost to me. It was a nice gesture but I took my rental car instead and took advantage of the free weekend parking at the metro station.
The staff are absolutely wonderful. I don’t know her name but the lady from Trinidad that is on overnights is certainly an asset to the hotel. Very helpful, knowledgeable and dedicated to trying to ensure the guests are happy.
The room was very clean and comfortable.
The major issue I did have was that there was no microwave provided in the rooms. They do have a microwave but you are forced to go to the restaurant in the hotel and use it. So I stood in line behind another guest until I had my turn to use the communal microwave. It was a little off putting that to make my children popcorn, required such a process. I can understand the thinking behind the hotel not providing one. They want guest to purchase meals from their restaurant and providing microwaves in the room could potentially have a negative impact on sales. I’m sure I am not the first to complain about this. Would be nice if the hotel provided what the vast majority of hotels in the country provide.
Overall though, it is a nice place to stay at for the price and location. I certainly would stay again and recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Spent 6 nights on business, the whole hotel is looking very tired and in need of an update. Was misinformed of room rate on check in, room a/c not working on arrival and when fixed was very loud. Even though there for 6 nights, first housekeeping was not planned until after 4th day, this was not done and took 2 requests via reception, the first was ignored by a very unhelpful receptionist. Bed was comfortable but bathroom is tiny, carpet covered in stains - would not walk barefoot in the room. Breakfast was the worst I have seen, charged $15 for the buffet which only had a few choices, the same every day. The food was dull and bland and not worth having.
The bar is ok, with good choice of beers and friendly staff.

We’d stayed here in the past and enjoyed it, but we hadn’t been here in several years. This recent visit was very disappointing. Much had changed.

While the room was a comfortable size, and the location is convenient to the Springfield Mall, restaurants, and I -95, the hotel is lacking in a number of ways. Some of the most noticeable include the lack of a restaurant and lounge. At some point, Houlihan’s closed. Only breakfast is now served. The indoor pool is now closed as well, though it’s still photographed on the hotel’s web site. Additionally, there is only a small refrigerator and no microwave as one would expect at a Hilton Hotel. Little things were missing as well, including a do not disturb sign for the door and a TV channel guide. My husband inquired about the channel guide at the front desk. He was told that there is a button on the remote which would show a guide, but they didn’t bother to tell him which button to use. He had to play with the remote to discover that the # 2 button shows the channel guide.

While the heat and A/C can be turned off, the blower cannot. (The choices are high and low only.). The blower is very noisy.

Finally, while the rest of the room was very clean, the grout around the bathroom tub and shower tile could use a good scrubbing.

It was a disappointing stay. We’ve stayed at nicer Hampton Inns. We probably won’t be back.

We were Leary staying here because of other negative reviews but they proved to be wrong. The front desk staff was pleasant upon arrival, check in was easy and the lobby was clean and inviting. Most importantly the room was very clean and comfy and the water pressure in the bathroom was strong. Complimentary coffee in the morning is always appreciated. The elevators have a security measure that You need your room key to activate from the lobby. I appreciate that because you don’t have unwanted visitors roaming around the hotel. A bonus to this hotel is FREE parking! I didn’t give it 5 stars because the rooms didn’t have microwaves. I would visit this establishment again.

As a Hilton Honors member I was very disappointed after my recent stay at the Hilton in Springfield, Virginia. It appears the things I have come to expect are no longer in place. After arriving at our stay, we spent the evening with plans to meet friends (staying at another hotel) and visit Washington D.C. After an expensive breakfast at the hotel, we departed and met with our friends. After a long day of tourism, we returned to the hotel to freshen up before dinner. Our friends were still with us and we invited them up to our room. To our great embarrassment, the room had not been cleaned. The beds were unmade and the bathroom, complete with soiled towels left for the maid service, still lay where they had been left. I immediately called the front desk and asked why our room had not been serviced and was told that the Hilton Springfield no longer offers room service. Also, while we were given a coffee maker with two cardboard cups, we were told that we had to use the same cups for several days and also that they should be used for drinking other beverages, as well. I do not stay at a Hilton so that I can use rinsed out cups for several days. I called the front desk and was told that I should contact the hotel restaurant and see if they would supply me with glassware, or with cups so that used cardboard cups did not need to be refused. I find these conditions to be unsanitary. As a Hilton Honors member for many years, there are amenities expected that come along with the price. I was shocked that our friends, who were staying in a less expensive hotel, had room service, a coffee maker with cups, and additional glassware for other beverages. What has happened to the Hilton chain? I would ask that my Hilton Honors membership be terminated as these conditions are unsanitary and not up to what is expected at a Hilton.

Pros: friendly and helpful staff at front desk and breakfast. Location is great, bed super comfortable and great water pressure for a good shower .
Cons: I booked this hotel trough booking.com, I did email the property several times with questions in advance trough booking.com and the hotel never responded ! Please improve the communication by email trough this channel ! I could know in advance that the fitness center was open! I did call the general line of Hilton and a lady said for this hotel the fitness center was closed , and then during my stay the fitness center was open. Improve breakfast for the price we pay. Eggs and sausage were not good .
