I have stayed at the Inn at Mt. Vernon Farm twice in the past few months. It is the perfect combination of a beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, modern amenities, and charm. The house dates back to the 1800s, but the rooms have modern, beautiful baths and luxury beds/sheets. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, as is everyone who works... More

My husband and I made plans to visit SNP and stay inside the park all 3 nights. However, a few days out from the trip, I read the best hike in the area was Old Rag Mountain - which isn't accessible from inside the park. So 2 days before checking in, we switched the first night to The Inn at... More

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Inn last night. We were looking for a lovely place to stop overnight on a long trip, but we've decided that the Inn itself will be a destination in the future! The views from the porches and our room were splendid, with the mountains fading into the night as we... More

My husband and I have stayed at many B&B's, but The Inn at Mount Vernon Farm exceeds all others. Cliff made us feel at home as soon as we pulled up, joining us for a glass of wine on the porch, taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains, and sharing the history of the property which has been in... We spent three nights at this Inn at the end of a vacation that took in Boston, Nantucket and DC. It was a wonderful way to finish a wonderful vacation. Located on a hill overlooking rolling pastures up to the mountains of the Shenandoah National park, this lovely, peaceful old farmhouse has been restored to the highest standards of comfort... More

My husband and I have stayed in many Inns. By far this was the loveliest. Jackie was so kind and accommodating- so happy and helpful. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. The views take your breath away. It's the entire package. Will be back again!

Stayed one night in the music room while in town for a family wedding. Wish I had booked several more nights. Such a relaxing setting and special retreat. The staff also served gluten-free blueberry pancakes for breakfast, which we're amazing. Keep up the good work!

We only stayed one night, and it was rainy. That was the only downside to our visit. This place is lovely. Just outside of town, situated in the hills overlooking the farm. Beautiful location, beautiful home and grounds. We stayed in the Music Room upstairs which had windows overlooking the grounds and hills. Our room was quiet (although it might... More

One of the most relaxing weekends we've had in ages. We stayed in the cabin and it was so quaint and welcoming. There are few words to describe the views. Breakfast was a treat with countless homemade goodies and the hunting decor was charming in the dining room. The staff could not have been nicer or more attentive. We'll definitely... More

My wife and I live in New England. It's beautiful. But Spring as it should be is in Virginia. And we can't imagine a more beautiful place to enjoy it than the Inn at Mount Vernon Farm. We stayed three nights and hiked every day in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each morning started with coffee on the porch with a... More
