A short trip to pick up our new puppy took us to this small southwest Virginia town. Our lives have been way too busy lately and we opted for this lovely Inn as a way to slow down and breathe! We chose the two room king cottage room and loved the privacy and extra space. We enjoyed a bottle of wine before heading out for dinner and after a great night's sleep, found coffee close at hand. We would definitely return if travel took us nearby! This would be a lovely space for a small wedding and reception!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Early Inn. We stayed in the Generals room and the close access to the kitchen was great! Staff was friendly and home cooked breakfast was delicious! We enjoyed exploring the area and visiting Roanoke. We will definitely return!

My husband and I stayed in the General's Suite as a "mini-moon" over Labor Day weekend. The staff treated us (and our puppy!) marvelously, and even left us champagne as a congratulations for our nuptials. We look forward to returning soon!

We stayed at the Early Inn one night to attend a concert at the Harvester, which was within easy walking distance. We stayed in the General’s room which was on the ground floor neat the kitchen and entry way, but was remarkably quiet, even though the inn was full. The room was outstanding with plenty of room, a comfy large bed, and private bath. We had our small dog and there was plenty of room to run her outside. The snacks and drinks were always available and tasty! Saturday morning breakfast was wonderful with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, watermelon, juice, and coffee. The manager gave us a historical tour of the house and insight into the town and area. We highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

This was how little town America feels like in an experience; big, delicious hot breakfast, wonderful hospitality, and great community. 10/10 would recommend others to head out to the country side and stay here!
