I held my son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner for 60 people in the Regency Overlook Room there. Everything was absolutely perfect. Michelle, my event coordinator, was amazing! She knew I would be driving the day of for about 3.5 hours, so she made sure if I had any concerns or problems during my drive, to contact her and she would handle them. So I did end up calling her and she very much did take care of things for me during my drive. When I showed up to meet her before the dinner, Michelle explained everything step by step and introduced me to our head Server, Brody. Michelle had already went over everything with Brody before I got there, so he was already on top of things. After making certain I didn't have any questions, I went on my way to get ready. Brody kept the evening on track as we had a cocktail hour, speech, prayer, salad dinner, and dessert... And he have finished by a reasonable time for the wedding on the following day. …

Hotel's Favorite
Stayed here for a mini vacation in the Blue Ridge mountains and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel was beautifully maintained and the room was comfortable and spacious. We particularly enjoyed the rocking chairs on the front porch-great place for morning coffee and/or a nightcap! There was a lot to do in the area and we very much enjoyed ourselves. Would absolutely stay there again!

The hotel is one of the Curio Collection items of Hilton properties. It was originally built in 1882 nearby the railroad. In 2016, it was reopened as the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center by common contributions of the University of Virginia Tech and Hilton Group. It was also added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. In terms of decoration, service quality, and location, you will have some unforgettable experiences. If you prefer a romantic trip, you can go to Roanoke by train from the connected stations such as Washington DC. It is a clean and large hotel serving by two restaurants and a bar. For the Hilton members, hotel offers a limited facility executive lounge. The hotel also offers comfortable parking areas and -if needed- vale parking service. For a hotel that charges more than $250 a night on weekends and close to $200 all other nights, this was a disaster. Towels were stained, half used Coke bottle from previous guest left in room when I checked in, requested room cleaning never happened so I had no clean towels and dirty room for two and a half days. Stay away!

The rooms were very roomy and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. Best sleep we had in a long time. We were there for our granddaughters Elite National Soccer Showcase. Your staff treated all the girls like royalty and any help needed was given with a smile and right away. A special Thank you to our waitress Eneida was johnny on the spot!! She was polite helpful and encouraged us to try all the food on the breakfast bar, which was excellent. I hope if we come back next year we can have the same service. Thank You Sheila

We recently stayed for 1 night in a King Suite and it was spacious, light and very comfortable after a day on the BRP. We also ate in the restaurant which was very good and convenient after a long day of driving. The self parking is a breeze and breakfast was also good for our fruit and granola fix.

50th Anniversary. Our Daughter and Sons gave us a wonderful 50th Anniversary Party at the Hotel Roanoke beginning on the evening of April 14 with Champagne and Cake to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel had a special area set up for our family and friends. Saturday night we had a wonderful dinner at The Regency restaurant. The hotel staff set up a a Separate Room for us and our servers were proficient and personable . The food was delicious and the steaks were perfectly cooked to order. The extensive menu that our kids picked was prepared perfectly. We also enjoyed the music and dancing that Erving. We also visited the bar area and bartenders were friendly and proficient. Thanks Henry and bar team. On Sunday, we had the breakfast buffet that the staff was able to quickly arrange seating for our large group. Our room was very comfortable but a/c was noisy. A beautiful older hotel that is the epitome of a gone by era, but they are keeping it up. Beautiful old hotel with stunning woodwork and entry. This carries over to the outside space and seating outside. The weekend we were there was a bit cold to sit outside, but it looked inviting with the big cushions and tables along with big iron chairs set up for private conversations or group get togethers. Gentlemen in uniform open the front doors for you and there is a large and small golf cart to take you to your vehicle if you don't want to trek down the hill in bad weather to get it. The rooms are appointed nicely, like I would expect in a finer hotel and the staff is very attentive. We had the fire alarm go off around 2 am but it was because a sensor got soaked in the pouring rainstorm. These things happen. They took care of it and got everyone back in their rooms in an expedient manner. Well done. It was a very enjoyable stay should you be looking for a nicer place to stay in Roanoke. Downtown is about 1.5 miles away and is walkable in better weather. We needed to drive and the parking is not cheap, probably 18-25.00 for a couple hours. I would expect these prices more in Chicago. If you can, get street parking for free.…
