Had a very pleasant three days at this hotel. Great food, the pork chops were out of this world! Clean rooms. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home. we had a group event and it went very well, even when we had to change things at last minute due to weather.

Hotel's Favorite
As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I like to stay at different hotels within the portfolio. I had been to Roanoke once before, and stayed at another property across town. Returning by train with friends, we opted for Curio Hotel Roanoke as a place to stay before and after an Amtrak trip together on Saturday 7/10/21 and leaving Sunday 7/11/21. The check-in process was quick and the people in our group did not have to wait long. We were soon in the rooms we had chosen through the online check-in process the previous day. My room was as preferred, away from elevators and ice machine. It was certainly ample sized for my needs. View was towards downtown and the railroad tracks (which are no issue when you've arrived by train). The bathroom had decent room for my toiletries and the shower was modern and did not lack hot water. We had breakfast in the Regency Room, and were served quickly. Food was good. Upon check-out, which was as cordial as check-in, I opted to have my receipt e-mailed to me, so I did not get to look at it. Overall, we were very happy with this property, and it comes highly recommended. I don't agree with the recent change to Hilton corporate procedures that replaced complimentary breakfast with a food/beverage credit. Definitely a step down for loyal guests of the chain who earned the perk. Nevertheless, my breakfast was eligible for a $12 credit, which I did not realize I did not get until the receipt was accessible in my account the following Monday 7/12 I called the hotel, and after being switched twice from the intake phone call to Reservations to Accounting, I finally spoke with Ann who said she would look into this and e-mail me a new copy of my receipt with the adjustment. The adjustment did hit my account the next day, Tuesday, so thanks to all for making the correction!

I stayed at the hotel Roanoke for a conference for a few days and the entire hotel was beautiful and well maintained. All the various conference rooms and hall rooms were very well kept and just added to the experience. The hotel is a bit of a maze for all the differing conference and ball rooms, but the hotel has ample digital maps for ease of navigation. The room was very nice and clean with nice modern touches to the historic styling of the room. Such touches like the in room phone which had the alarm clock built in and a cord that came off that charged devices of all different kinds, it even had usb type C which I haven’t seen supported anywhere else. There was also a heated portion of the mirror that wouldn’t get fogged up when getting ready. The staff was beyond amazing and very friendly. Definitely recommend staying here and I hope to have the pleasure to stay again

The staff at the Hotel Roanoke were not only professional and friendly but they went above and beyond the call of duty. When I got home to CA and realized I'd left an item of clothing in the room, I got a call back within 24hrs and they mailed the item back to me! I was beyond thrilled because I didn't expect to get it back. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat not only for the location, old world charm but the customer service.

Great hotel and terrific service. Close to downtown (walking) and close to the airport (15 minutes). Highly recommend. Some mention that the hotel looks a bit dated (it is a historic building design) but the amenities and service are top notch. Maybe the best internet access I’ve had at any hotel of late.
