Barb and Ward are the best hosts! Thoughtful down to the smallest details. Our Wedding was picturesque, the reception was beautiful and the food was said by all, fantastic! My husband and I could not have changed a thing that would have made our day any better. Worry free for the Bride and Groom. Thanks Barb and Ward.
Three generations of our family just completed three days and three nights at Corner Stone Farm. Everyone one of us had a wonderful time. Barbara and Wade are natural hosts and very accommodating, the food is great and plentiful, really enjoyed the animals, and the beds are very comfortable. A pleasant change to our normally hectic lives. Highly recommend this B&B.
I brought my grandson here for the "Junior Farmer " experience and he absolutely loved it. He learned a lot and liked playing with the goats. He really enjoyed the chickens and birds. He got to hold a baby duck and said his favorite thing was releasing a homing pigeon. He learned a lot about hard work on a livestock farm but had fun doing it. He also got to fish and went on a goat packing picnic. Barb and Ward were awesome hosts and great cooks because the food was amazing. Carter keeps asking when he can go back again.
My husband and I got married here last month and it was an absolute fairy tale. Barb and Ward were so accommodating and made the whole evening perfect. We had a large reception (about 100 people) and everyone fit well in Cherith Hall. The food was excellent and the decorations were absolutely stunning. I also had a very large wedding party (14) and Barb managed to fit all of us up front perfectly and not make us feel cramped. Apparently one of the servers got sick and left early but I never would have known because everything went so smooth and seamless. I heard nothing but good things from all the guests and everyone had an amazing time. I recommend the farm to anyone who asks.
We had a great weekend getaway. Did the hunting package. Hunted the lot out behind the farm, did not get anything but did see deer. The time out there was very nice. We were fed very well and taken care of. Enjoyed the conversations at the table with Ward, Barbara and calamity Jane! Would love to bring kids and let them experience the farm part. Great relaxing place!
My 10-year-old daughter just named it the "Awesomeness Farm".... and it's true! We had such a great time with all that Barb and Ward had to offer on their beautiful, sprawling farm. Working the farm, milking the goats, feeding the animals, collecting the eggs... we expected all that. What we did NOT expect was all of the little (and big) extras: the wonderful (and plentiful!) meals, the lovely and warm hospitality, and the many ways in which Ward and Barb strived to ensure that our experience was as full and rich as possible. For example: after a day jam-packed with fun activities, Ward, who is a bird fancier with an AMAZING talent of imitating any type of bird that inhabits the area, took us out on a moonlight call/search for owls (we heard one respond!). It was so cool! Barb was so sweet and patient with my daughter, teaching her and answering questions, and really entertaining my daughter's curiosity about life on a farm. We HIGHLY recommend the goat-packing picnic- Aquila, a goat trained to walk on a leash, carries your picnic lunch while you enjoy a scenic hike through the backwoods behind the farm. Another highlight was the nature center, with lessons on the local amphibians and snakes. It's clear that Ward and Barb love what they do, and they relish opportunities to share their knowledge and love of wildlife and nature. We will certainly be back in the spring, when there are babies on the farm!!…
My finace and I picked this as our wedding venue for our upcoming wedding in October. We have been by a few times and each time I come I fall more in love with it. Barb and Ward are so welcoming and helpful. Barb has been my lifesaver through all this wedding planning and I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I will be sure to post another review in October/November after the wedding. Highly recommend!
We were supposed to renew our vows here last year but the woman I dealt with wasn't on top of her game. She was slow to respond on emails, and didn't take out the money when she said she would and when she said she could, we didn't have the money due to having to pay bills. It was a waste of time. We won't be going here ever or asking to renew our vows here. Was really looking forward to it but sadly it won't happen.
We had our wedding here with a ceremony called 'Just The Two of Us', it was a perfect venue with all the traditional elements but no attendees. We had our ceremony outside in the garden with horses and cows right there. It was so pretty. Ward and Barb are such kind hosts; they are in their element with the B&B, we felt so welcomed and spoiled with all the lovely little touches. The romantic dinner was so nicely done and the morning country breakfast was delicious as well. We really enjoyed going around the farm and our hosts were willing to share their vast knowledge and passion with us, making every aspect enjoyable! This is not a hotel, it's a quaint, farm style B&B. The atmosphere, hosts and uniqueness, make it really special.
We enjoyed our stay at Cornerstone farms. The hosts Barb and Ward were charming, breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the farm is a lot of fun to tour. Goats, horses, ponies, and even the birds used in David Copperfield magic show. We brought our dog, and she was welcomed and made to feel at home. We'll be back.
