Very relaxing, beautiful old lodge. Very scenic. We were here to visit our Virginia Tech student and attend a football game in Blacksburg. Staff was so nice and I loved the fact there was no T.V. in our room in the main lodge.

The team stayed one night on the way down to NC. Great history, wish we could've stayed longer. Rooms were small but nice and had a lot of character. The view wasn't bad either. I can only imagine how nice it is in the summer.

I recently stayed here as part of a fall 4 day vacation. It was booked about 4 months ago. The website and flyer looked much better than the actual accommodations. We chose to stay in one of the adjacent cabins since we were travel with a teen. The rooms were dismal at best. Mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable. Bathrooms...

We stayed in the Carolina cabin and couldn't be happier. The cabin felt secluded, which was exactly what we were looking for as we were celebrating our 35th anniversary. We loved that we had two porches.

I just returned from a two day visit at MLL. I originally booked the trip because I was up late with my typical insomnia and the move Dirty Dancing was on. Loving this movie, I watched it for probably the 40th time! I Googled to see where the movie was filmed and the Mountain Lake Lodge site came up. I...

We had the best girls vacation ever! It started when a friend posted that the location they filmed Dirty Dancing was an actual place! Who could resist...

We recently went to Mountain Lake for their Sunday brunch. If you decide to try it be prepared to wait, and wait and wait. When we arrived at the reception desk there was no one around. We waited as what appeared to be a manager heading our way just walked right by us without a word. Finally a hostess arrived...

Beautiful hotel! No TV in rooms, but being outside so much you don't care. Would go back! Reminds you of the movie Dirty Dancing everywhere. If you ask you can get a tour of area where it was filmed. Even in the kitchen!

We stayed two nights (Wed & Thur) in the Carolina Cabin. The property is GORGEOUS!!!! The cabin is old, I believe it was built in the 1930's. The floor did have a downhill lean to it, but it was Clean & had everything we needed. I loved the back porch with the awesome view. We had Breakfast & Dinner in...
