Wanted to visit the site of the movie Dirty Dancing. Glad we came. Rooms not modernized but quaint. Opening windows and the fans made the lack of a/c acceptable. The trails, especially the nob behind the lodge, are very enjoyable. Nice also to be near the Cascades trail.

We loved our visit. The drive up the mountain was daunting but worth it. The grounds were enjoyable to stroll around and the mountain setting is very beautiful. We stayed in the first floor because a person in our party could not climb stairs. There is no elevator, so be sure to request the first floor when reserving room if... More

Currently in a lodge room at this hotel and the only good thing I can say is that they have WIFI. This is our second night and I cannot wait to check out and get to our next hotel. As I write this I am so so disappointed and very upset but also feeling itchy from the general lack of... More

We had a grea time at Mountain Lake Lodge! We did the Dirty Dancing weekend and enjoyed it. We stayed in one of the cabins which was great. It would be nice to have A/C in the cabins but we were fine for September. There are ceiling fans and window fans to use and we were never hot. The weekend... More

I absolutely fell in love with this place. My cabin had a great view, complete with porch rocking chairs and mountains. Farm to table menus were out of this world delicious. Mike, the bartender, was highlight of the trip. Gave a great 5 minute tours of all the scenes dirty dancing filmed there. He also kept us guest laughing. Will... More

Enjoyed this beautiful venue with lots of character...we and our grandkids enjoyed the Bubble Ball, game room, dining, outdoor chess, yoga and LOVED our cabin...we enjoyed our porch and the lovely setting so much...peaceful for sure. And, we met the General Manager who was very friendly and accommodating. We were also happy to learn the cabins are all pet friendly...yeah!!!

Surprised my husband with this Dirty Dancing weekend getaway and it was more fun than I ever imagined. I booked it a couple of months ago and got worried when I read the reviews last week before we left home. We stayed in Chestnut Lodge which had no A/C, but a great cross breeze (along with a fan) and we... More

Over from the UK for the dirty dancing weekend. Trip up to the hotel is great and passed a covered bridge Hotel and grounds are wonderful we also hiked some of the local marked trails and saw some great views Our room was a standard in the main lodge, clean and tidy but a little dated. No A/C but fans... More

When was the last time you were able to stay in a hotel and actually open the windows and wake up to the sound of birds? It was sweet. No neighbors' TV blasting all night. Lots of places to walk around, sit and relax, games, hikes from the front door (including some challenging ones if you wanted). The restaurant was... More

I brought a large group of friends and family to the resort for our first girl's get-away/ Dirty Dancing theme weekend for my birthday in August. We can't stop talking about it! We laughed and danced all weekend and loved the convenience of having everything within walking distance. Even with a large group of gals, it was so stress free.... More
