We stayed overnight at this motel while we did the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. The unit comfortably fitted 6 women. Beds and pillows were really comfortable, sheets and towels beautifully new and white. The owners are slowly upgrading the facilities, showers etc. Maria locked our bikes up overnight for us. Perfectly adequate for tired cyclists!

Right from the start we were informed of a price increase above the rate we had booked at. They only accepted cash to make matters worse. Currently being run by new staff who, despite their best efforts, didn't know how to work the computer, or much else.

We are so grateful to New Haven for coming to our aid in our time of need. Someone had passed away up north and we urgently needed accommodation. Firstly, they didn't mind us phoning late at night to arrange our stay. They offered us the three nights at a discounted rate at the time we needed. The rooms are simple...

We've stayed at this motel before. The old couple who use to own it were lovely and it was a pleasure staying there hence why we chose to book here again. Unfortunately we were unaware it was under new management...... We booked months in advance for Labour Weekend. Arrived late afternoon (from AKL which was a 4 hour drive due...

A young couple with a young family own this motel. I believe they have owned it since Feb 2016 and I think they are still finding their feet. The owners were super friendly but that did not make up for the poor quality everywhere else. When I checked in a young girl processed my paperwork. She didn't really know what...

But this...

The owners were very obliging and friendly.. The beds were very comfortable and we were in a 2 bedroom unit. Unfortunately the door to the 2nd bedroom couldn't open completely because the bed was too long. The blinds in both rooms were vertical blinds and let the light come in, There was only 1 curtain across the front lounge window...

I can't rate the hotel itself and what its like to stay there as we had booked our stay two weeks in advance only to find out when we arrived that they had no record of us in there system. Also come to find out they were fully booked. With no apology or recommendation of other accommodation we left. In...

Stayed Wednesday night at New Haven Motel. Met the new owners, a very motivated young couple who have plans to upgrade all the units. Had a very comfortable bed, just wish the neighbourhood rooster would disappear, 3 a.m wakening this morning!!!! Look forward to seeing the upgrades on my next visit in about 6months time.
