This is a delightful B&B away from the centre of the town (10-15 minutes walk) and right by the vineyards - ideal for visiting them as one can do so on foot without having to drive after drinking! Aylstone is made up to be comfortable de luxe accommodation and it very nearly succeeds. I would have given it 5 stars... More

This accommodation is away from the noise of the central square. It is in the heart of the main vineyards and a perfect base for visiting the local vineyards. It is within walking distance of a number of good vineyards. It has a country feel and is isolated and quiet. The price is at the top end of the market... More

We just came across this delightful hotel on our retreat from Wellington. Small and incredibly well, appointed. Attention to small details made the place very run. The ground are well kept (construction gong on made it a little tough, but not bad) with a p'tanque court that could have used some TLC. Easy walk to a number of wineries and... More

This is a very pretty, quiet accommodation set amongst the vineyards of Martinborough. We stayed for 2 nights in January in the Panama room. The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated and we had lovely views of the vineyards from both windows. The room was well equipped with everything we needed right down to torches to guide us back from... More

Very comfortable and relaxing with lovely grounds overlooking neighbouring vineyards. Slept very well, woke to birds. Superb location from which you can walk to all the local vineyards. Hosts Kathy and Chris are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.

Stayed three nights in Cologne room. Spacious well appointed room with private terrace overlooking vines next door. Huge comfortable bed, walk in shower, good towels. Tea & coffee facilities, free snacks and bread to toast for breakfast. Easy 15 minute walk to town square, close to several walkable cellar doors as well.

We stayed one night in the small Panama room for $290. The bedroom and bathroom are very small although well appointed. On arrival there was no one at reception although we came at the appointed time. There was no milk provided. We could hear conversation and movement of people in the adjoining unit. For these reasons we were disappointed and... More

This place is beautiful! We stayed for one night in Martinborough as part of our honeymoon and wish we had booked for longer. Beautiful room overlooking the vineyards. We were able to sit outside our room in the sun and enjoy some wine in the beautiful surroundings. Only a 10 minute walk into town. Hosts are very friendly. Highly recommend... More

Stayed here over a long weekend. The hotel is located on the outskirts of town, which means that it is quiet, and there is a great outlook over the vineyard next door. The room was perfectly presented, clean and well appointed. The service was very good. As the name suggests, this is not your typical hotel- it is boutique as... More

This place has very nice rooms (stylishly furnished) and pretty surrounds (well manicured gardens and vineyards to look out onto at the back). However, for $290 per night we expected more in terms of quality of service. Rooms at this end of the market should come with basic extras such as a breakfast service (none at all), a turn down...
