We stayed at the Brewery Cottage which is managed by the people at Windsor House. The Cottage is located right next to the walkway up to the cemetery and is very quiet. It was very clean and contained everything you could ever need. The fireplace was a bonus as it was freezing in mid December. The beds we comfortable and...

We had such a lovely stay in the cottage. It had such an authentic feel about it, better than the photos! Great fire, very toasty on a cold night. loved having no phones or tv. Tea supplies all there and games to play. Beautiful garden and kitchen looking into it. Easy walk to the shops along the river where we...

We loved our stay at Windsor House, I had taken many photo's of the front of the house, but to be able to walk through the doors and get to see the complete house was just beautiful. It was a privilege to stay there, it completed the beauty of the whole town and area. We will be back.....

Cottage charges ridiculous surcharge for children. Hugely overpriced for basic accommodation; invisible owner. Confusing invoicing which does not even confirm which property is involved (the owner operates several in the area). Walhalla is nice enough, but stay somewhere else!

Hi Melinda, We are disappointed to see you did not enjoy your stay with us. Just to clarify, we believe our rates are to a standard that are suited to the accommodation and you also knew about the additional surcharge for additional people before booking, but yet still continued to book. In terms of the booking system, the accommodation you...

We loved breakfast, the interesting secret passage behind the dining room, and our lovely host. There was great attention to detail and it was very comfortable there. Also the town, the mine tours and the location are fascinating. We also went on the restored train and visited the museums.

We were very impressed with Brewery Creek Cottage which is run by the owners of Windsor House B&B. It is absolutely charming, and we found it was extremely well appointed. The owners have been very thoughtful in providing everything essential and lots of other extras as well, so apart from food, it really is indeed self-contained, cosy and comfortable. Not...

This is the second time we have stayed at Windsor House B and B. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom retains its heritage feel, while being luxurious. Lovely open fire in the sitting room, we enjoyed a wine (it is licensed) and a game of scrabble. We were looking forward to the hearty...

Walhalla (population 16 - not a misprint) seems to have a range of accommodation but most is in modern if tasteful constructions. Windsor House is one of very few 19th century buildings to have survived and it made a great base for exploring the "town" and area. It has maintained the heritage feel in interestingly decorated and furnished bedrooms and...

On our most recent trip to Walhalla, we stayed at Windsor House B&B. This is one of the oldest buildings still standing from the gold era which instantly takes you back in time as soon as you lay eyes on it & the experience continues as you walk inside to the fully restored period style interior, including the guest rooms....

We went to the Walhalla Vinter Ljusfest and stayed at Windsor House's Brewery Creek Cottage and it was absolutely perfect. A short walk out of the main centre of Walhalla but still close to everything that mattered. We only stayed one night but would happily have stayed longer. The cottage was clean, well appointed, well maintained and beautiful. We will...
