Kinda like a stateroom on a ship. It was clean and super simple. Check in was easy and the room was nice and quiet. Not much else to add but have to get to 200 characters... So I'll say. The shower was nice, good controls and pressure.

The location is good. The walk from terminal could be a problem in wet weather. No restaurant. No room service so eat before you get there. Room is small but bed is comfortable. Reasonably quiet considering proximity to airport

We had an overnight stay in Melbourne and the Ibis was all that we needed. We arrived very late and left before breakfast - we just needed somewhere to sleep. Our room was quite small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, with the wash hand basin in

Pros: - Walking distance from the terminal (although not super close) - Quiet - Comfortable bed Cons: - Looks and feels like a young offenders facility - utilitarian, tatty, no frills at all. - No lift - Iffy wifi On both occasions I was arriving late and leaving

This is not a 5 Star Experience - it is a cheap way to miss the traffic for that early flight and it works. A simple walk to the Terminal is great way to get you going and it is stress free. I will continue to use it because it cheap by comparison and is just the place to lay

It is only about 400 meters to walk on flat ground so if you are fit it should be no trouble. We had a member of our party that could not under take this walk so we took the shuttle.

Hello how to I pay for breakfast as it wasn’t in my booking ?
Breakfast is paid for at reception. It is about $9 for a light continental style. I’m not sure of the serving times so check with the hotel. The staff are always very helpful with enquiries.

We arrived after hours but the manager was still at the front desk. There is an arrangement whereby you can enter the hotel, you need to let them know in advance so they can make arrangements for you.

I have just looked up the info on the hotel on the Melbourne Airport website and it states: "Reception is open from 7am until 10am, then 12noon until 10pm. Outside of these hours, access is via an automated reception kiosk, providing you with a swipe card and a receipt indicating your room number. The swipe card is used to enter the hotel and the room." I have used the self check-in after hours and neve had a problem. On many occasions I had to leave in the morning before reception was open and you simply put your swipe card in the box by the front door before exiting. You can email the hotel managers Donne & Elsie Cronje, Hotel Managers. If you google ibis budget Melbourne airport the details to email them are on the left hand side under the main picture. I just did this to find out for myself.

Indeed you may, best to book and pay before hand and simply insert the card you paid with at the self check in kiosk at the front door. The machine will unlock the door and give you a room key. Because the room is paid for, you simply need to return the room key (key-card) in the box at the front door on your way out. (If you leave mega early in the morning). Is a super friendly hotel and well worth an experience there. Much cheaper than any competition in the same locality.
