I was on the road ready to rest as night was fast approaching. I had expected to find accomodation but nothing was available. So I decided to check online and made a booking . I had no idea where I was arriving in the dark on a pitch black night. My hosts guided me via text as I got lost... More

Stayed here in Blue Gum Cottage with my two grandchildren. A slice of peace and tranquility and beautiful scenery. My grandchildren did surprisingly well without instant access to the internet at all times. We picked up a signal from time to time with our Telstra wifi. Also could use our telstra phone. I'd bought an Aldi sim card for just... More

The cottages are very well appointed, light, bright and very clean there's also a fireplace!! The farm has plenty to do, relaxing walks or feeding the friendliest farm animals. The lambs are absolutely adorable but as are the cows, horses, llamas and other farm animals!!

We stayed at black wood cottage which was well equipped and easy for cooking too. We loved the toasty fire place and our twins enjoyed roaming the farm freely and feeding the animals anytime of the day. Great hospitality from Helen and many thanks to julian for helping to arrange for another baby chair for the twins. My son liked... More

We stayed a couple of nights in the Blue Gum cottage in early March for my wife's birthday. She often mentioned she would love to do a farmstay and spend time with animals. Being a male it took me a little while to catch on, but I finally worked it out and organised this stay as a surprise for her... More

The 2 cottages we stayed in were well appointed and comfortable in a working farm setting. Julian had been very helpful and provided a fantastic tour around his farm. His advices and recommendations to attractions around Johanna/ Great Ocean Road were also very helpful. You can walk freely around the farm with Zac and Charlie, their very friendly dogs, playing... On Arrival , we were warmly greeted by Julian and Helen( owners of this magical place) and the very friendly animals. We were promptly introduced to the animals and shown the vegie and herb gardens, where to collect the freshly laid free range eggs and the orchard, where you are free to roam and pick what you need to go... A lovely place that I highly recommend. Our cabin was perfect both inside and the view from it. The farm was fascinating and worth exploring. The Otways are beautiful. The cabins are close to many attractions and places of interest. The road to the Cape Otway lighthouse had lots of koalas. You could easily spend a week here and use... More

We highly recommend the River Farm and will be back next year for sure. We have been coming on the Great Ocean Road every year and love the Johanna area, it is quiet, green and blue, perfect distance from everything. We have been wanting to stay at the Farm many times but it is booked out very quickly for long... More
