Overall a great trip with many positives that have been detailed by other reviewers. in summary the positives were Quamby Lodge, the seamless organisation, Lou our main guide, the beautiful scenery and solitude, the meals, the Lodge and the Spa. Negatives were all non deal breakers but included the three hour bus trip in, the shocking weather on day one...

We went on the Bay of Fires Walk from March 1-4 with James and Matt as our guides. The organisation of this walk from start to finish was incredible. 'Bay of Fires Lodge' is heaven on a stick ( stilts actually); perched high above the pristine ocean it's the most welcome sight after a tiring day of walking. Our first organised walk and what an amazing introduction. We were a little apprehensive leading up to it as we didn't do any preparation walking prior to the walk but it was for no reason. The guides were terrific, the people we were with just amazing and the lodgings, just brilliant and the walk very satisfying both physically and mentally....

This walk through the far north east of Tasmania is well worth the effort. The walkers stay at the lodge for two of the three nights and it is beautifully appointed and run by dedicated and friendly staff, who know what is important.
