We took the day trip on the boat with Travis. The tour through the marine park and Victoria settlement was so incredibly knowledgeable and engaged, fantastic.travis also made it possible that we, who had never been fishing before, caught an enourmous jewfish. Absolutely unique and wonderful!! Kirsten Berlin

Five friends and I recently embarked on a 5 day tour of Kakadu, Arnhem Land and the Cobourg Peninsula in a 4WD vehicle with a guide who took our breath away with his knowledge of the land and its people. Stephen was tireless in his efforts to make this a tour to remember. He cooked our meals at the Cobourg Coastal Camp, drove to the most stunning and remote places we'd ever dreamed of, interacted with the local indigenous people, speaking their language and showing a comprehensive love for and understanding of Arnhem Land. We climbed escarpments to view ancient aboriginal paintings, walked the remote, pristine beaches of the very Top End and - because of our guide's uncanny powers of observation - saw every form of wildlife and birdlife we'd hoped for. Venture North delivered on this adventure big time! Do it if you can. You'll dream of it forever.

From the moment we were walked to our glamping tents with a balcony and an ocean view I could feel that this place was going to be special: I was not disappointed. We felt like we were the only people there. The open air dining area, sunset bar and lounge area are great spaces to relax with a welcoming and comfortable feel and amazing ocean views. Sunsets not to be missed. The warm outdoor showers and bush toilets are truely unique. You need to visit the camp just to experience the showers. Cobourg Costal Camp the best camping/glamping experience I have had in Australia. The meals were also 5 star.

I have just returned from an incredible adventure in Arnhem land, staying at Venture Norths camp at Cobourg Peninsular I cannot recommend this trip enough!! I am a mature age traveller and found the camp accommodation of bush huts , bush shower and toilet perfect , everything was imaculately presented and pristine, thankyou Amanda The attention given by staff Dave, Amanda and Travis was highly professional at all times. Daves knowledge just blew us away and kept coming day after day, his chef expertise was wonderful and we dined like royalty Amanda was always welcoming, has a great sense of humour , and provided excellent hosting. Travis provided us with his knowledge of fishing and was extremely patient with 3 female never before fished tourists. We had a number of activites every day and collapsed at end of day for sunset nibbles and drinks ROBYN MAYES, MOONEE BEACH. NSW

What an extraordinary part of the country to visit and I hadn't even heard of it before we arranged our trip!! The location of this camp is just indescribable, Port Essington and the views of it from camp just blew me away, the whole area is teeming with life and nestled up on the cliff you can watch it all going on whilst being fed with absolutely delicious fare! We saw reef sharks, turtles, rays, crocs, dolphins, bandicoot and a plethora of fish whilst on the boat going over to Victoria Settlement. The camp itself is so well run, sleeping accommodation so comfortable and with sea views to boot! How about a toilet with the best view in Australia..... We also had the opportunity to try our hand at fishing with Travis, this was the kids favourite part of the trip, going out on the boat and catching fish some of which were then dished up for tea - scrumptious!! Our daughter caught a Queen Fish that was absolutely huge, half her height, what a first catch to pocket!! Camp hosts and the guides were so friendly and accommodating, the kids (aged 7 & 9) learned so much whilst we were there and we're grateful for the experience given to them as well as us. We couldn't have asked for a better trip and would love to visit the area again one day in the future!!
