Holladay House B&B was perfect for my small wedding. Many people who have a traditional weddings experience at least one wedding-related 'hiccup' (in addition to the huge price tag!). Holladay house provided many of the elements of a traditional wedding for a reasonable price and with professional service. Sharon handled all of the details and accommodated my special requests. The...

The owners did a fabulous job of maintaining the building's historic roots with just enough updates to make it feel luxurious. Original floors, period decor, etc. meet elegant bathrooms, wifi, and the best gourmet breakfast we've had in ages. Sharon goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy the B&B and the town...

My wife and I recently took an overnight trip to go to a concert in Charlottesville and to visit the area. Our stay at the Holladay House was a highlight of our trip. It is perfectly located to accommodate visits to some great local wineries, do some antiquing, and make stops at Montpelier and Monticello. We stayed in the Oak...

We stayed in the John Madison suite for 3 nights in March, 2017. We very much enjoyed our stay. The suite is generally spacious and has a separate sitting room with a couch and chair for watching TV. We also enjoyed spending time reading in the library downstairs. Breakfasts were tasty and nutritious and varied from day to day. We...

You all "squeezed the juice" out of Orange during your stay! Not everyone gets to Four County Players, the longest running local theater in the region at 42 years! I grew up near Broadway and the DC Theaters, and my picky-self is ALWAYS impressed with the level of productions Four County Players puts on. Just another reason to visit this...

I planned a surprise wine tasting trip for my boyfriend and I and The Holladay House helped make our first vacation together relaxing and enjoyable. The hosts, Sam and Sharon, were extremely personable and accommodating. They emailed me to confirm the reservation in the Ivy Suite and ask if I wanted to add-on any packages or relaxing services. Sharon worked...

We're pleased as punch you all were able to enjoy a lot of what this area has to offer: wineries, antique and art shops, rural vistas, and one heck of a good breakfast :) With everything either within walking distance or a short beautiful drive away, there leaves plenty of time to relax back a the inn too! Thanks so...

Sharon and Sam are great hosts in a beautiful home with rich history! We stayed in the Madison room and were very comfortable. We had a great time and hope to have opportunity to go back! Breakfast was amazing - Creme Brûlée French toast, local bacon, juice, great tea and coffee. It was a perfect stay for us!

Thank you for writing a review about your time here! The John Madison Suite is definitely designed for relaxation: large bedroom with overstuffed four-poster bed, entire separate sitting room with 3-cushion couch and overstuffed armchair, large bathroom in the suite... Then we stuff you at breakfast with seriously tasty food... We're all about a theme :) We look forward to...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our host on arrival offered us an upgraded room at no additional charge. She also provided guidance to local sights and restaurants for dinner. The public rooms were pleasant, and we were offered a choice of music. The room was spacious and immaculately clean and had a modern private bath. The room temperature was comfortable,...
