It occupies a rare and beautiful site that offers views straight out of the 19th century. It is Virginia at her best. It is quiet. It is peaceful. More than those, it is serene. Turn your devices off! And yet at the same time, one can easily walk to a drug or grocery store, or drive into town. Plus, the staff are helpful and friendly and pleasant. I visit twice a year and recommend it enthusiastically and without reservation. Did I mention Barboursville Vineyards and Montpelier are close by? You may not want to checkout....Thank you for the excellent rating, Dennis W! We endeavor to go above and beyond to ensure our guests have a memorable experience at Round Hill Inn! The room was spacious and clean and the bed was super comfortable. Good location close enough to town to get to anything pretty quickly but not too far from some of the other attractions in the area. Liked the setting on top of the hill; made for a quieter stay. The staff was friendly, and the room was comfortable with a surprisingly nice little view from the top of the hill.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS IN ROOM 109 I booked a king room for my stay at the Roundhill Inn in this past weekend while in town for a wedding and I truly wish I had not. When I went to get into bed on the first evening, I opened the covers to find a live bed bug in my sheets. I went to the lobby to ask for another room and was told that they would refund me for my stay but that they couldn't give me another room that evening because they were booked. Thankfully, I had another friend with two queen beds so I was able to stay with her. The next morning, my husband went to the front desk and they told us they could move us to a room next door. We were not comfortable being next door to the room with bed bugs so when we asked to move to the second floor, they were able to accommodate. They front desk person let him know that we would not be charged for our whole stay due to the inconvenience. When we checked out the next morning, the front desk team confirmed AGAIN that they would not charge us for our full stay. Low and behold, I just received a charge on my credit card for my second room even though both me and my husband had been each told at separate times we would not be charged. Not only did my room have bed bugs, it was dark and musty smelling. I later found out that the room they were trying to move us to next door (room 107), had been vacated by another wedding guest because of a mold issue. When she brought it up with the front desk person the same evening I let them know of my bed bug issue, she asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager does not work on the weekends. All in all, BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. The 4.5 star rating on TripAdvisor is BEYOND misleading. The rooms are disgusting and staff is not properly trained to handle problems that arise during hotel guests stays.…

Round Hill Inn was a beautiful home-away-from-home experience. Staff was both professional and friendly. Room was clean and furnished with all my needs. Atmosphere perfect and view of the countryside and mountains spectacular! Breakfast was fine, with plenty of good coffee, juice, etc.. Will definitely return!

Beautiful property on top of hill.Good sized room that was spotless. Had full view of farms that went on forever with mountaints as a backdrop. Nice hot breakfast. First class staff. Excellent mattress. Big pool. And the price was beyond reasonable.

Nice and comfortable hotel rooms. There was an issue in my room but the hotel was booked up so they could not move us to another room. Talked to Stacy the hotel manager and he was able to adjust the price due to these issues. I stayed there before and I would not hesitate to stay there again. Beautiful view.

The hotel is a find! It is Located in beautiful country perched on a hill. The accommodations are excellent, breakfast is included, and the views are spectacular. There’s a small outdoor pool and plenty of outside seating. Highly recommend!

My husband & I spent two nights at the Round Hill Inn in early November 2021. The Inn is situated on a lovely hill overlooking beautiful farm & mountain scenery. I was highly impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the inn. I’m a “neurotic clean freak” and my room and the public areas were spotless! Our bathroom was large, bed was very comfortable, room had all amenities. I must give a special “shout out” to Julia at the front desk—she was exceptionally helpful and Lea, at the breakfast buffet, who was most kind and helpful. The Round Hill Inn is truly a great place to stay while in the Orange area and I will definitely return.

Just stayed here Sunday night 10/24/21 and I was extremely satisfied. The location is superb with incredible views of the Blue Ridge mountains and a relaxing pool and patio. Hotel was super clean and very quiet. I recommend it to anyone looking for a restful, quiet stay in a charming little Virginia town. Lots of food choices nearby.
