We stayed at the Round Hill Inn while visiting Woodberry Forest for a tennis tournament! Location to Woodberry Forest was great with just a short 8 minute drive! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful! The lobby had a delightful library and I enjoyed browsing through the books before heading to bed! The hotel breakfast is a traditional lobby breakfast with waffles, scrambled eggs, etc. There was intentional attention to making sure the items were hot and full. The coffee is local and I appreciated the view out back while enjoying my first cup with the newspaper. The room was comfortable and clean. Checkout was just as easy as check in and it was neat watching a wedding group prepare for the day! When staying in Orange you should check out the Round Hill Inn!

Last minute trip to. Virginia. Brian, the front desk clerk was courteous and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was super comfortable. The breakfast area in the lobby was a nice touch with a variety of breakfast foods including hot and cold items.

Just stayed here Sunday night 10/24/21 and I was extremely satisfied. The location is superb with incredible views of the Blue Ridge mountains and a relaxing pool and patio. Hotel was super clean and very quiet. I recommend it to anyone looking for a restful, quiet stay in a charming little Virginia town. Lots of food choices nearby.

The Round Hill Inn is a lovely facility, nestled on top of a hill, with sweeping country views.
Unfortunately my stay in May 2021 was tarnished by bad customer service and other issues. I arrived at 9:30 pm to a pitch black parking lot. I parked in front of the lobby door because the light there allowed me to see. The desk clerk said there was a "lighting problem" and I asked him to accompany me with a flashlight so that I could see lines well enough to park and safely get my luggage inside.
I always call ahead and check with hotels to see if the info on the Web site is correct, especially with changes because of COVID this past year. I was expecting the "pool" and "free breakfast" that I had confirmed by phone but was told that the pool was suddenly closed for repairs and that "we're not offering breakfast this week," with no explanation. Even worse, I was told that a water main had broken that afternoon and that the entire hotel had no running water. As a 'consolation,' my room rate was reduced to $69 but in retrospect I should have asked for no charge at all, but I was too tired to negotiate. When I arrived in my room it hit me that "no water' mean no toilet flushing either. Ugh.
The next day, the water was restored at 11 a.m. Still no pool or breakfast, but I had running water and spent the second night there.
When I checked out on Saturday morning, the desk clerk did not ask about my stay, which is a courtesy I am used to at other hotels, regardless of price point. I'm not sure if I will give the Round Hill Inn another chance in the future or not.

We checked in on Friday. We had room on first floor and I asked if we could get the same room above. Was told that I wanted him to throw someone out of their room. Room was not cleaned over weekend. When we asked why he
pointed to small sign indicating that rooms cleaned upon request over the weekend That sign was not there when we checked in and no notice in room or elsewhere. We told the maid twice that she could clean the room when we left . Again,very rude words from front desk and not one apology ever. We wanted to book for another weekend but after this experience will not stay here again. We are senior citizens and were appalled at the customer service and belligerent allegations from the front desk person . He told me that I was the type of person that was always going to find something wrong with the hotel before I even arrived. That is only part of it..

The Round Hill Inn wouldn’t be so bad if they controlled the humidity in the rooms. The first room we were in had such high humidity that I could feel the moisture in the sheets. Same thing happened to the next two rooms (one on the first floor and the other on the second). Glad we are out of there! The views are great and amenities aren’t terrible, just the lack of humidity control on the air conditioner units.

My husband & I spent two nights at the Round Hill Inn in early November 2021. The Inn is situated on a lovely hill overlooking beautiful farm & mountain scenery. I was highly impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the inn. I’m a “neurotic clean freak” and my room and the public areas were spotless! Our bathroom was large, bed was very comfortable, room had all amenities. I must give a special “shout out” to Julia at the front desk—she was exceptionally helpful and Lea, at the breakfast buffet, who was most kind and helpful. The Round Hill Inn is truly a great place to stay while in the Orange area and I will definitely return.

The Inn has panoramic views of rolling farmland and the foothills of the Blue Ridge. Country quiet and rural charm are traditions. Some staff members have long careers there and all offer excellent service. Ruth and Cathy in Housekeeping are particularly attentive, and Brian at the front desk, as well. Stacy, the hotel manager, is dedicated to giving every guest the best possible experience.
The Inn is the cleanest hotel I've stayed at. I have worked in travel and this is one place I will return to again and again.
I enjoyed the outdoor (seasonal) pool.
Round Hill Inn is time and money wisely spent.

By strict definition, few places are or can be unique. That said, the Round Hill Inn is one of them. It occupies a rare and beautiful site that offers views straight out of the 19th century. It is Virginia at her best. It is quiet. It is peaceful. More than those, it is serene. Turn your devices off! And yet at the same time, one can easily walk to a drug or grocery store, or drive into town. Plus, the staff are helpful and friendly and pleasant. I visit twice a year and recommend it enthusiastically and without reservation. Did I mention Barboursville Vineyards and Montpelier are close by? You may not want to checkout....

This hotel should be considered AT LEAST 4 stars for its class. It was clean, decorated well, the pillows and bed were comfy, and it had beautiful views. The pool was also very well maintained and outside seating area added to its beautiful setting. Considering the price, we were pleasantly surprised with the overall atmosphere, decor, and experience. We would definitely return!
