Beautiful setting for a wedding. Gorgeous building very well maintained. I was recently there for my daughter's weeding and it was a wonderful experience. The folks there are so good at managing it made the entire event a pleasure. They were altogether gracious and focused on making the experience there perfect for my family. Thanks to all involved.
Thank Recombatant

If you are looking for the perfect place to get married, book the Rose and Goat Retreat immediately. Not only are the grounds absolutely gorgeous, but Margo is a dream to work with. She thought of everything we needed to make our wedding amazing. The house is beautiful, and our wedding party loved staying there. The bridal suite was the perfect place for the girls and I to get ready, and for my new husband and I to spend our first night as a married couple! All our guests were raving about the stunning views from everywhere on the property. And our wedding photos came out perfect. We were able to have our ceremony and reception all in one place, and we were so happy with every single aspect of the Rose and Goat Retreat.

The Rose and Goad Retreat was a wonderful experience. The hot tub in a snow storm is beautiful! There were 8 of us and we all had our own beds which were very comfortable and the pillows are to die for. We went into town and visited DeMarsico's Wine Cellar and Bright Ideas Brewing which was a wonderful time had by all, thank you Margo for the suggestion. The house is a beautiful place to put up your feet and relax with friends and family. We will definitely be returning for a visit in the fall, can not wait to see the fall leaves from the top of the mountain while sitting on the deck! Thank you Margo for a fantastic weekend you are by far our favorite hostess!

This retreat in the mountains is majestic. The owner makes you feel like you are at home, but with beautiful touches everywhere, like roses everywhere you turn and the nicest bathrobes I have ever seen. We were skiing and it was wonderful to come back to luxurious and warm surroundings, and to be able to make dinner and relax. The outdoor spa was fantastic also! We were lucky that we were able enjoy some star gazing on a beautiful clear night.

We recently stayed at the Rose and Goat Retreat for our 25th anniversary. Since we live in CT, we typically go to Newport to celebrate our anniversary weekend, but we decided to try something different this year. The owner, Margo, was wonderful from the first phone call. She asked questions, gave suggestions, and made our stay a wonderful weekend to remember. From the moment we stepped into the beautiful foyer, we were welcomed with exquisite candles, red long stemmed roses, and a lovely fireplace. Margo even went to the trouble of having the Bose stereo system playing our favorite band's music when we walked in. I was literally crying as I wandered around this lovely home taking in all of the beauty, being reminded of one of the happiest days of my life though the flowers and music. We enjoyed the new outside hot tub, but another nice surprise was the plush bathrobes that were awaiting us on arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked and functional with amazing granite counters and ample space for cooking up a storm. Margo left us a chilled bottle of sparkling wine with a nice personalized note of welcome. Although we were certainly guests in her home, Margo made us feel like special company that she was eagerly awaiting to please and impress. The bedroom was extremely comfortable, and the towels were oversized, soft and plush. The "cabin" itself was a marvel, and I spent hours just sitting in front of the fire appreciating the architecture of the building itself. I am so looking forward to coming back and brining my family in the spring for some hiking and fly fishing. Once we left, our key deposit was immediately refunded and all transactions were promptly and professionally handled. Thanks to Margo for the attention to detail, kindness and love she put into making our anniversary special. I highly recommend visiting this house if you want time to decompress, enjoy your family, and relax!
