This was our third stay in Canouan and our first time under Mandarin Oriental management. Our family had a fantastic time, and this remains one of the best-kept secrets in the Caribbean. Mandarin has lifted the quality of accommodation, food, and service to an entirely new level as this beautiful island deserver. Definitely a place to keep coming back to.

We have just returned from a simply amazing property. The staff were so friendly and some of the happiest people we have ever met! They all knew our names and were always making sure that we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble and they aimed to please. Our bulter was so lovely but not intrusive. She checked in with us at different times of the day to make sure we were ok. The beachfront Suite was amazing! From the luxurious furnishings, to the smart TV's in the mirrors and the ipads with hundreds of magazines and newspapers to choose from. We had everything we could possibly need in there. As we were on the ground floor we could walk out onto the beach every morning. Lots of little treats were left in our room and we had access to a complimentary minibar. (no wine or spirits available however) Only 6 suites were occupied when we were there so we felt like the only people at the resort and some days we had the whole beach to ourselves! We really appreciated how quiet it was as we crave peace and tranquility when we go away. The beach was beautiful. The water was turquoise, just how we like it. It was windy on the beach and the water was choppy which made it difficult to swim in but we wouldn't consider this to be a issue. We spent most days lazing on the beach enjoying the view.
The food was also lovely (typically expensive for a high end property). We did not go to Asiane as we are not massive fans of Asian food, but we did try the other restaurants. My favourite was a Thanksgiving Meal at Tides Bar and Grill that was included in our package. The Butternut Squash soup was to die for! My husband enjoyed the beef at l'anse Gyac. We did not find much choice at the pool bar during the evening.
While we were there we had a treatment at the Spa which was very relaxing and also experienced rum tasting which certainly made our eyes water! The rum is so strong in St. Vincent!!!
We fell in love with the resort and the staff and rank this very highly in the list of places we have visited (Bora Bora, Seychelles, Maldives...). Although we never visit the same place twice, we may need to return to Canouan one day!
We both had a tear in our eye as we left the property. A sign of a very good holiday! Don't hesitate, just book it!

We stayed a week in a waterfront beach suite. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as avid Fans of Mo worldwide we found the beachfront suite amazing with the ocean view, but the room was a bit dated and needs less pink IMO.
The restaurant situation was lackluster with only one restaurant choice per night out of the 5 on the resort. The staff was amazing and very sweet... They looked like they were trained to serve in a certain way and if you asked a question or requested something out of the ordinary it broke their concentration. However, Jennifer and her team in the mornings were above and beyond perfection! Breakfast was the best part of our meals there!
Also, we found ourselves going over to the Soho House during the day to visit the beach, because they have a much better experience. They have music, free popsicles, cold towels served on the beach and special complimentary drinks served all day. Something the Mo should also be doing, but do not.
The worst part of the beach at the Mo was the seaweed that had washed up and the tractor with it's diesel smoke blowing on us the entire day. We were told that this would only last one day, but it was like that for the entire trip. It wasn't their fault that mother nature creates such a mess, but the tractor and it's pollution was not good for relaxing and sunbathing. They told us it would only last one day, but it went on for the entire time of our stay.
The pool and pool bar were not all that either... Drinks were not well made and the Sunday BBQ was lackluster.
One last thing, we had some issues with food quality and when the guest food and beverage person visiting from Lake Como asked us if everything was alright, we quickly told him to have a seat so we could tell him... He then got nervous and just smiled and walked away.
Anyway, overall it was a nice trip, but we will not be going back.

Had a lovely week in Canouan. The hotel was quiet with probably only 4 or 5 families but it made it felt very private . Service was excellent and the food good quality . Restaurants were open on a rotation basis view number of people staying . We took the private jet back to Barbados which is an experience we strongly recommend. Worth trying if you like peace and
quiet in a quality location.

We traveled to Canoun and stayed at the Mandarin Oriental. It was our first time to the Grenadines. Getting there was tough (no direct flights, multiple covid tests to get in, 2 separate customs/immigration stops, etc) but the hotel offers a concierge option- TAKE IT! It's worth it and makes everything easy. The property itself is great, the water spectacular (especially for snorkelers) and the service top notch. I'd say the spot is better for older kids, but my 11 and 8 year old were very happy there and so were the parents :). A butler was provided to us, and I believe every family gets this complementary service. ASK FOR AKEAH. She was wonderfully attentive, never on top of us, and made it so easy for all of us to enjoy everything this wonderful resort has to offer.
Would have given the 5 stars but I must say the island is so remote that the markup is profound, especially on property. About 30% more in general than off property, so would recommend checking out other restaurants (Soho Club, Shenanigans, and Foxy Jacks all VERY Good!). enjoy.

We travelled by plane from St Vincent and was greeted by staff at the airport with refreshments and taken to the hotel. This hotel is what you call luxury! Absolutely amazing rooms. As it was my birthday we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. The butler was good but sometimes hard to get hold of but that wasn’t really an issue for me. Once arrived we had coconuts with our names engraved which was such a thoughtful touch! We joined the mandarin club so got breakfast included which was really handy! The pool was immaculate as was the beach. I would say for me personally I wouldn’t stay for longer than 3 days unless with a partner as there’s not much to do but as we were there for carnival, our duration of time was perfect.
The rooms were beautiful and finished to a high standard with marble everywhere. The shower was incredible and I wanted to live in there! The mirror tv was also a lovely touch. We also received complimentary champagne and snacks on arrival.
Food is pricey but was expected, also it was hard to get around the island and once anyone knew which hotel we were staying at, they upped the price. I would recommend going to town or
The dock to look for cheaper prices for excursions as the hotel prices were extremely expensive.
Everything in the room was complimentary including all snacks and drinks
Would definitely come back when visiting st Vincent again. Even if it’s for 1 night
Also check out the little turtle hut, if not there’s turtles everywhere on the island anyway

I actually stayed at this amazing hotel before covid, it was a real wow for me. Truly unique for the Caribbean as most the hotels are not very wow but expensive.
I loved the decor, service & food. The suites are very beautiful and spacious.
The beach is beautiful with a couple of spa huts out to sea, along with some water sports.
I preferred the balcony rooms over beachfront as I prefer more privacy and views. The beachfront is tucked back, with a path for guest to walk but and not much sunlight. So next time I’d go for a balcony option.
We did a beautiful sunset drinks on the Golf course looking out on the cliff edge & beautiful sea views.
Also very high end dining & service
Would 100% recommend for a 5* luxury hotel, and book the hotel private jet from Barbados (takes 30mins)

We just returned from our 9 day visit to the Mandarin Canouan. Everything about our stay was above and beyond. The property is gorgeous with tons to do for the entire family. The staff exceptional Duarte - the GM made sure everything went smoothly. Raymano handled all our activities everyday and was wonderful, taking care of all the details. The beaches were beautiful and the beach activity staff were friendly and fun - taking the teens snorkeling and windsurfing. The food was great and a variety of cuisines available.
The spa treatments fantastic with a team who were real professionals.
As a family that has travelled the world- we all LOVED the Mandarin Canouan and hope to return soon.
Thanks to the team!

Our family of four had a wonderful 5 night stay at MoCan. It was so nice to be able to step out of our beachfront suite and to be right on Godahl Beach. The entire property was beautiful, but the hospitality and warmth of the employees are what make the resort truly special. The kids club is absolutely amazing (probably the best we’ve ever seen) and Curlann was phenomenal in keeping our children engaged with a range of activities when we needed some downtime. The restaurant team was also extremely thoughtful and remembered our meal preferences after the first day. I’d like to call special attention there to Jennifer and Feona. Our guide for the hike to the summit of Mount Royal, Xaville, was fantastic and shared a lot of information with us about the island along the way. Gideon helped us with transportation around the island. And our butler Makailah was amazing - setting up excursions around the island and helping us to design out itinerary. In spite of a family emergency, she still continued to check in on us, which was clearly well beyond what was expected. Lastly our housekeeper Melecia was highly creative in designing towel figures that kept us entertained and amazed (see pictures). In short, we had a great time and would love to revisit in the future!

This is far and away the most beautiful resort we have ever visited. The rooms are beyond spectacular and the views are sublime.
It is very remote so you do have to get on well with your companion!
Every one of the staff are there to make your stay perfect and nothing is too much trouble.
All you have to do is message your Concierge and the job is done!
Food at breakfast and lunch was excellent and we ate a couple of times at the Lagoon Cafe in the evening, which was also very good (if empty)
This is a stunning location and perfect if you need to just “flop”.
Stand out Staff wise were Gideon, who gave us a fantastic tour of the island and our two delightful Concierges….Iola and Kia.
Highly recommend
