I actually stayed at this amazing hotel before covid, it was a real wow for me. Truly unique for the Caribbean as most the hotels are not very wow but expensive. I loved the decor, service & food. The suites are very beautiful and spacious. The beach is beautiful with a couple of spa huts out to sea, along with some water sports. I preferred the balcony rooms over beachfront as I prefer more privacy and views. The beachfront is tucked back, with a path for guest to walk but and not much sunlight. So next time I’d go for a balcony option. We did a beautiful sunset drinks on the Golf course looking out on the cliff edge & beautiful sea views. Also very high end dining & service Would 100% recommend for a 5* luxury hotel, and book the hotel private jet from Barbados (takes 30mins)

We just returned from our 9 day visit to the Mandarin Canouan. Everything about our stay was above and beyond. The property is gorgeous with tons to do for the entire family. The staff exceptional Duarte - the GM made sure everything went smoothly. Raymano handled all our activities everyday and was wonderful, taking care of all the details. The beaches were beautiful and the beach activity staff were friendly and fun - taking the teens snorkeling and windsurfing. The food was great and a variety of cuisines available. The spa treatments fantastic with a team who were real professionals. As a family that has travelled the world- we all LOVED the Mandarin Canouan and hope to return soon. Thanks to the team!

Had a lovely week in Canouan. The hotel was quiet with probably only 4 or 5 families but it made it felt very private . Service was excellent and the food good quality . Restaurants were open on a rotation basis view number of people staying . We took the private jet back to Barbados which is an experience we strongly recommend. Worth trying if you like peace and quiet in a quality location.

This hotel is absolutely the definition of luxury. It isn’t just looking beautiful, every detail is well considered and created. There is a beautiful historic church right inside the property. The perfect spot for a wedding. The decor, the views and lunch at the poolside restaurant is a must!

To escape the winter sun we decided to book a trip to the Mandarin Oriental Canouan. We flew via Barbados, met at the airport and escorted through customs. When our bags were retrieved we were taken to a private jet for our 25 minute flight to Canouan. Sadly, there were a few clouds so the view wasn’t as good as it potentially it could have been. Arrival, was hassle free a few checks and a form to complete and we then were off in a Mercedes to the hotel. About 15 minutes later we were being met in reception by some lovely staff. Karen, Alson our Butler and indeed the GM Duarte. As a large party was arriving the next day, to ensure we had no inconvenience the hotel upgraded us from a Penthouse suite to an amazing Lagoon Villa. The villa was simply beautiful! Wow we were blown away! However, during our stay we did ask if we could be shown all the room types - a 1 bed oceanfront suite, a 2 bed oceanfront suite, a Penthouse and the Patio villas. I don’t think I have ever seen such lovely rooms, they were all stunning. The attention to detail in this property is exceptional. If we had been offered any of the room types we would have been delighted. We think it’s the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in- and we have stayed in a few!! The staff help to make this property special. It seems rude to highlight a few names when really all we met were a credit to M&O. However, Alson and Chrystal, our butlers were always just checking up ensuring you were happy, making any arrangements for trips etc. Then around 5 they would arrive with something tasty from the kitchen just to keep you going until dinner. Jeremiah and Nadine made our days at the pool such a pleasure. Keon was on hand to make lovely cocktails, helping keeping us cool. Mehmet, Ozge, Talat, Cem , Serken and Gokce were a few of our lovely friends who were from the Mandarin Hotel, Bodrum- we would not have had such a wonderful time without them! Absolute fabulous service and simply couldn’t do enough for us. Others I need to mention would be Sam at the beach, Jennifer and Abigail the restaurant managers and all the smiling reception ladies who are so welcoming, day or night. This really is a special place. If you are even considering a reservation then I’d urge you to do it - you really won’t be disappointed...it’s heaven on earth! Proof of this is we booked to return before leaving! Enjoy and thank you again to all the staff for a wonderful break.
