We traveled to Culebra in the middle of January and the weather was gorgeous. I will tell you now if you are looking for a hip and trendy vacation spot, this is not the vacation for you. The owners of Casa Ensenada were not there. They left us a note and the codes and keys and left us to our...

My wife and I arrived at Culebra the afternoon of March 12th. Originally, we had reserved a room for 2 nights at another B&B, not Casa Ensenada. That turned out to be a horrendous mistake! Suffice it to state that, after checking into "the other place," by the following morning, we were dissatisfied enough to checkout in a hurried frenzy!...

This was my 2nd trip to the island of Culebra eight years apart. Not much had changed. Casa Ensenada was the perfect place for my wife and I. Everything we needed was in walking distance. We did rent a car to go to Zoni beach and some of the other hideaway beaches. As far as Casa Ensenada, we had the...

We stayed in El Studio for four nights (1/4-1/8/2013. The owners were there for three of the nights and they were very nice and very friendly. When I realized I had forgotten some of my things in Old San Juan, Isabella shared hers with me and even offered to leave it for me when they left the day before we...

We booked el pequeño at the last minute for a get away vacation to Culebra for Christmas. The owner was great at providing me with all the details on how to get there and the amenities provided and was quite responsive via email. However, when we arrived and throughout our entire stay,I did not see either owner at all. Granted...

First, the downside: (a) there are three small apartments -- we had the larger one, comfortable for four -- and the center one can hear loud conversations/coughing from the other two; (b) only one bathroom, off the separate bedroom; But the advantages: (a) walk to all good restaurants, and there are quite a few; (b) good kayaks: a double and...

Peaceful. No body bothers you. Walking distance to everything. The place has a dock which is a plus.

We stayed at the Casa Ensenada for 4 nights and had a very enjoyable time. The room (Estudio) was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy, it reminded me of the kitchenette hotel rooms you will find on Florida's gulf coast. A small stove, frig and microwave gives you the freedom to "eat-in" if you like. The back patio was relaxing and...

Downtown walking distance to mot things and ferry. Nice waterfront to sit out on. The room - pechengo was not all that great, dark and in the back of the house, but the rest was good. Culebra is fantastic, the water is beautiful and there are definitely places that you can go and be by yourself if you are willing...

Casa Ensenada fit our needs perfectly for our two night stay on Culebra. We rented the Grande - it was clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a full kitchen, grill, beach cooler/chairs, and internet. While the house is a quick walk (3 or 4 blocks?) from the ferry dock - and, on the route to Flamenco beach,...

“The Grande has two rooms plus one bath. Main room with two futons is like a studio apartment with a small but full kitchen at one end. Enough space but don't think your getting two separate bedrooms in addition to a living room. Facility is clean and adequate but somewhat "tired" -- that's Culebra I'm told”
