One thing never to do on the beautiful island of Culebra, Puerto Rico, is to go on a three-day weekend, or major holiday. You can't find a decent place to stay, let alone sleep. It is all loud partying 'til 2:00 a.m. But, if you really do want a very decent place, this is my favorite. Posada la Hamaca. The... More

Great place and service. The staff was very helpful. We got room #10 and we had a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 children 9, 12, 15) it was very clean and comfortable. There were three full size beds and extra beds if needed. The room had a kitchen, private bathroom, dining table, and a balcony with view to... More

We went to Culebra with a reservation at another hotel that we didn't like at all, when we saw it in person. So we decided to go around the island to find a better place to stay. Right next to Mamacita's, we found this quite place, with a nice terrace over the canal and a very friendly receptionist/owner. He was... More

The place is not that bad but there are many problems: shared air conditioning remote control, sometimes you can control your room temperature, but they often give the remote control to the room next door... It suck wake up in the middle of the night freezing or burning....also they don't offer you any soap at all... If you go there... More

So here's the deal, we went to Culebra last second with no hotel reservations (there are no actual hotels but you get what I mean) a friend of mine told me about a place called Mamacitas and we stayed there one night but the second night we moved next door to Posada La Hamaca... The room we stayed in was... More

This hotel is very basic, but our room was clean and the air conditioner worked great. The staff was friendly. And the seating area behind the hotel overlooking the channel was pleasant. Our bed was not very comfortable. We only had one night on Culebra so we chose posada la Hamaca based on the location with walking distance to restaurants... More

We stayed three nights at Posada la Hamaca....service was stellar...amenities are few. Bring your own shampoo, hand soap, beach towels, and comforts of home. Our front desk guy helped us many times and was amazingly nice. Beds aren't the most comfortable...but it is clean and friendly.

Culebra is a place that doesn't do things with many frills, and this hotel is no exception. The staff is very nice, and the room is clean and cool. Plain, but simple and does the job. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel, this isn't your place. If you want a safe, solid place to rest your head when... More
