We are conveniently located in the heart of Dewey (Culebra's only town), the main ferry dock is only 3 minutes away (walking distance), the airport and Flamenco Beach are about 15 minutes in a public ride ($2.00 per person), restaurants, grocery stores and the bakery are all within 5 minutes (walking distance).

I was suppose to stay on January/1/2019 at La posada and suffer a verbal and almost Physical attack by my ex partner and the girl at the lobby, Marcela didn’t call the police or stop the situation by protecting me as a paying guest at the hotel. She also lie to the police about the event but I still got the order of protection against my ex. I would like to see the cameras of nye to prove this at court. The attack was between 6pm-8pm. Please feel free to contact me and I hope you punish this employee for her irresponsible behavior.

The room I stayed had 3 beds for six people and only one bath, probably not the best idea. Good thing is that it was close to everything in town. Righ off the dock, that was also a plus. Would probably consider other place for next time.

We travel as a family and this place was great, from the reservation process and after the check out. Very friendly and attentive. Room #10 was great, very clean, 3 beds, kitchenette, a/c, tv and a private terrace overlooking the canal. A great place to visit Culebra, great location, near the ferry, supermarket and amazing staff. After the check out they have a locker room to leave your luggage and even a complete bathroom with shower to change. We feel very welcome in this place. Continue with the great service. Hope to visit you very soon.

My son and his girlfriend invited my sisters and I to visit Culebra. Choosing Posada La Hamaca was a huge part of the sweet memories we brought back. Simple, spotless accommodations, refrigerator, microwave, tv, air conditioner. The place has a back porch facing a canal which brought memories of Venice. Ricardo encouraged us to use it after checking out; best decision we made! We had snacks, listened to music and waited for the ferry. La Hamaca is walking distance to local food store and restaurant. Call Ricardo, he will provide information regarding services and attractions.

Room 3 is a clean cozy room overlooking the canal. It's a no-frills hotel so there's no complimentary breakfast or room service. In the room you will find a queen bed, a night table, a small closet with hangers, an A/C, a small fridge, a microwave large enough to heat a pizza and a coffee maker. You should bring your own ground coffee and filters, though. There's a TV too but we didn't switch it on. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were offered a locker to keep some of our luggage after check-out. All in all, it's good value for money.

Rooms are basic but serve all needs. Bed was decent, hot or cold showers, TV and cable worked goog. A refrigerator is a nice bonus to have cold drinks on hand. Ricardo at the front desk was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Nothing fancy but good location and walking distance to anything

One thing never to do on the beautiful island of Culebra, Puerto Rico, is to go on a three-day weekend, or major holiday. You can't find a decent place to stay, let alone sleep. It is all loud partying 'til 2:00 a.m. But, if you really do want a very decent place, this is my favorite. Posada la Hamaca. The rooms are cold! The manager, Edwin, is a very nice young man. Very attentive. (But bring your own soap and shampoo). It's just a few yards away from my favorite water hole and restaurant, the Dinghy Dock (to be reviewed separately). Have some fun in Culebra, and rent a golf car for a few days. But if you go sight-seeing, you may wish to rent a car. Golf carts won't up hills.

Great place and service. The staff was very helpful. We got room #10 and we had a party of 7 (4 adults and 3 children 9, 12, 15) it was very clean and comfortable. There were three full size beds and extra beds if needed. The room had a kitchen, private bathroom, dining table, and a balcony with view to a canal. It was located right next to Mamacitas where they have karaoke at night and even my kids had fun singing. We could walk pretty much everywhere. I highly recommend this place.

We went to Culebra with a reservation at another hotel that we didn't like at all, when we saw it in person. So we decided to go around the island to find a better place to stay. Right next to Mamacita's, we found this quite place, with a nice terrace over the canal and a very friendly receptionist/owner. He was the best of our stay! The rooms were very basic, but clean. Don't expect luxury, but a comfortable room to stay in the heart of Culebra. But as said. the owner was the best: he gave us tons of advice on where to go, what to visit, where to eat, where to have local breakfast... And always with a smile and a story to tell. Very friendly! We would love to go back to Culebra, and we would definitely go back to La Hamaca!
