Absolutely loved our one-week vacation at Pullman! Even during such hard times for Cuba, the staff were extremely warm and welcoming, the food was delicious and the resort spotless. - Rooms, Restaurants and Bars: Extremely clean, spacious, and comfortable. - Beach and Ocean: Beautiful white sand, clean and very warm water. - Entertainment: Fun and very friendly, loved the entertainment team :-) - Spa: Extremely clean and very relaxing massages by Yeisy and Lula. - Staff: Very professional and attentive, double masked at all times. - Food: Even some food items were missing at times, due to the limited supply chain through Covid, there was always something delicious to eat and really enjoy. - À la carte: My favorite was the French restaurant, La Perla, where Louisa, our fine hostess, took care of us and made our evenings an absolute pleasure. - Coffee: I am a coffee addicted and have to say that the most delicious Cuban coffees I ever had in Cuba over the years were at Pullman. A few coffees worth mentioning, beside the cortado and cappuccino, were cafe bonbon and the iced coffee made by Ernesto at the cigar lounge bar. The iced coffee that he made I called the Cuban Iced Macchiato... to die for!! - Bars: Always fun and great service. - Cocktails: A lot of choices! Ernesto, the bar tender at the cigar lounge, was a very passionate and talented mixologist that really made our vacation an absolute blast 😊 - Cigars: Great selection. The cigar lounge was the most coveted for us as cigar smokers. Denise and Alina, the 2 ladies that work there, are very knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to spend time with. They are one of the reasons that we are going back soon. A big Thank you to management for running such a great team. We had the pleasure to meet the GM Jean Luc, Alexis the general director, and Yanet the Sales manager; wonderful people that we are very happy to see again soon.

We just returned from The Pullman. I cannot express how well we were treated by everyone. Special thanks to Hector Roura Gomez for arranging our stay as we had been transferred from another hotel. It was our 50th anniversary and Jean Luc and his staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We stayed in the Collection area. The food was excellent. And of course the beautiful people of Cuba made our trip a great one. Thank You.

Trip advisor Stayed oct 9-16 First time visitor. Stayed in Collection Junior Suite. Collection appeared to be less than 50% full. COVID stuff All staff were masked all the time. 50% of the guests masked up when indoors, etc. PCR test was scheduled and went off without a hitch. Results were provided day before flight. At no point did we feel “concerned” except when we got into the chaos known as Toronto Terminal 1 International arrivals hall, lol. Well kept resort. Lots of security visible and maintenance people seemed pretty active (landscaping) Mosquitos were to pretty bad so bring strong bug spray. Hotel was spraying regularly and every morning a plane sprayed the entire area. Resort was hit by two blackouts but these impacted the entire area as the country was doing rolling blackouts. Major impact was later in the day, no cold beer unless you wanted ice in it. Internet. As we were collection we pretty much had 7x24 access including pool side. Not super strong (ie. Face time or Netflix was an issue in room) so do that at the lobby. But email, Insta, FB etc were fine poolside. Room Good room, comfortable bed. Overlooked pool. Supply shortages meant no Nespresso but not a big deal as I’m not a huge Nespresso fan and 24 snack bar was a 2minute walk. Large waters left every day. Soda (cola) was in short supply but available at snack bar. No room issues. Two showers (walk-in and bath tub). Lots of soaps, etc. Pool area. As capacity was down, always was able to secure a cabana with shade in the afternoon. Pool clean. Cleaning staff were attentive and responsive with requests. Food Buffet was open for breakfast and lunch, not dinner. All dinners were a la carte and scheduled by hotel. You could change reservations. Breakfasts: though we had access to Collections gourmet we at majority of meals at Collections snack bar due to schedule (scuba). Simple omelette and coffee accompanied by fresh avocado (the latter not on menu but easy to get if you ask around). Kitchen will cut it up for you. Gourmet breakfast had loads of options. Lunch: We ate at the buffet twice. Pretty good options however partner is vegetarian and they don’t do a great job of avoiding cross-contamination. This is education and something we see across the Caribbean. 5/7 meals at Collection. Again lots of options and daily specials including Cuban day. Dinners: La Perla (3 times) first meal was a challenge. Overly salted lamb dish and veggie pasta twice contained meat scraps. Spoke to mgmt and it was addressed in future meals so no complaint there. Remaining meals were great. Japanese (once) : it’s a “Benihana style “where you sit around a large flat top. Skipped one meal given our first meal issue at la perla. Second meal was great. Veggie meal made ahead of meat and fish so no issues. Separate veggie sushi brought out as appetizer. Good meal, nice portion. Italian: (once) lots of options on menu. Well prepared. Gourmet (once). Good selection. Everything well prepared including vegetarian. Steak cooked properly. Overall: food was good. As it was mainly a la carte we ate less than if at the buffet all the time (good thing!) as we didn’t graze. Would have liked to try the Cuban resto. Next time. Keep in mind when you go, they are trying to replicate international foods (Italian, French, Japanese). Don’t fault them if it’s not as good as your local Italian resto in Toronto owned for 30 years by an Italian family. The best tasting meal I had was the Cuban lunch at the snack bar. Rice and beans and fried pork. Also. Cuba has a major supply chain issue. They can’t get the basics (ask the staff), so some foods are not available or not fresh. Can’t blame the hotel here as they are at the mercy of the government. The supply issue was noticeable at the bars as certain days they had little to no mixers (coke, tonic, soda) and mint was a scarcity for mojitos. Fresh fruit as a whole was scarce (no lemons/limes, or bananas for daiquiris). Again. “First world problem” and given the country situation I don’t blame the resort. Beach. Nice beach. I don’t like beaches where it stays shallow as I like to swim so this was great. If you want that go to Playa Pilar. Bars were close to beach if you wanted a drink. Lots of lounges. Sea was calm all week. Overall this was good. Some areas for improvement but nothing that would have me rate the place low. Recognize you are going to a country where locals can’t get find the basics on the store shelves so I can’t really complain that the resort can’t buy cases of limes or tonic water. We’d go back. Activities I took a road bike so rode every day off the resort (2-4 hour rides). Good roads. Not a lot of great scenery as you are constantly surrounded by marsh, but lots of birds! Not a lot of route options given the size of Cayo Coco. Also no where to buy water or snacks so be prepared if going long. But I got about 400km in and was happy. Scuba My partner is a serious diver and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dove every day (two tank). Dive leaders were professional and helpful including being “eco friendly” below the surface. Equipment was good and well maintained. Saw lots of sea life on dives. Just remember It’s Cuba. They are just starting to preserve the seas so don’t expect super colourful reefs like you get in Belize or other Caribbean regions. Off the resort The market. Great selection of rum and cigars but was constantly plagued with no internet so no point of sale terminals and they don’t take cash. Took 4 visits to buy some rum. Playa Larga. Great beach and beach bar for an afternoon away from the resort Playa Prohibida. Great bar on the water (no beach). Good grilled meat and seafood. (No vegetarian). Perfect for an afternoon patio session or sundowners. Thanks: To Jean Luc for making sure I could get cigars one night. To Jose in the Collectiins bar for the avocados and great service To the electricians who picked me up on the road to Moron amd drove me back to hotel when I had the bike mechanical issue.

Three reasons I go to Cuba 1. Resorts 2. Beaches 3. People… and I wasn’t disappointed. We went right before the whole resort was getting ready for opening for peak season and it was slow so it wasn’t fully opened. Even though it was slow they made it entertaining and the Pullman team really shinned and killed it. The beaches are amazing, different days we had turquoise water then the next day crystal blue it was amazing. The people of Cuba really separates themselves from any other destination for me. At the Pullman they were always smiling and saying hello and it felt welcoming, plus the gardeners were hard at work, maids doing a great job cleaning and the bartenders pouring great drinks. We even had a conversation with Jean-Luc the GM (first time in 30 trips have I ever even seen a GM nor speak with a GM anywhere) he was very kind welcoming and ask if we were enjoying ourself and ask if their was anything else he could do to help us enjoy our stay to reach out and gave us his business card. I hope that’s helps why you should come vacation at the Pullman Ohhh yeah… we extended our stay to 2 weeks almost 3

Fantastic Resort! Warm welcome with music upon arrival. PCR test upon arrival was fast and efficient! All negative. Your choice if you wear a mask. Employees masked up. Followed all Covid rules. PCR test within 72 hours of departure. Appointments were made for us. Testing took 5 min. per couple. Very colourful paperwork of results night before departure. We tipped in US $ and numerous gifts such as medicines, mosquito repellent, hygiene products, vitamins etc. We stayed in the adults only section. Very quiet and relaxing. Love, love, loved it! Room was spacious and immaculate! Beach and pools were amazing! Enjoyed the fantastic gourmet foods in all the a la carte restaurants. Service was exceptional! Most definitely ate our way through the lunch menu @ the snack bar. Poutine was better than we get in Canada. Do recommend the Cuban sandwich. The Friday Mexican burrito is great as well. We would like to thank all the staff at the Pullman for their warm welcome/hospitality! Cleaning ladies, gardeners, waiters, waitresses, reception, bellmen, Jefe Felipe - you make the resort shine and a wonderful team! We have travelled to Cuba many, many times but this was our first to Cayo Coco and we have no regrets! The Cuban people and Jefe Felipe Perez-Olvera were always very pleasant, welcoming and attentive to all our needs! Muchas gracias for a memorable vacation. We will be back!
