My wife and I just returned from our third stay at White Bay Villas, and it feels more like home every time! If you are planning to stay on Jost Van Dyke, this should be your first choice, hands-down.

First off, WBV is one of the most gorgeous settings you will find in the Caribbean. We have stayed in three separate villas in four years, each with views that take your breath away every moment of the day. There is a great variety of villa types, all set with different locations and vantage points on the hillside – so you’ll be able to find the perfect location and accommodation type to meet your needs. The villas are clean, comfortable, and functional…and in case I hadn’t mentioned it already, the views! We sometimes sit for hours on our balcony, just soaking up the beauty of White Bay and the dramatic hillsides of Jost. The owner had a vision when he created these villas, and man did he ever knock it out of the park. These views are pretty much permanently emblazoned on my brain at this point. Truly indescribable.

As if that weren’t enough, there is Alice’s Restaurant at the new Beach Club. We were so thrilled to have an on-site restaurant option that was not available during our first stay in early 2020…little did we know how remarkable an addition this would be to the WBV experience. The food and the atmosphere are second to none. During our visit in 2022, the Beach Club was just getting its sea legs and even then, it was a delightful place for a meal, drink, and to soak up the BVI sunshine on comfortable chaise loungers right in front of the restaurant. Now, Alice’s has really stepped up its game with a greatly expanded and diverse menu…everything simply delicious and there’s something for everyone. You can dine inside or out – the latter offering a more romantic and captivating setting than you can imagine. Refreshing breezes rolling off the water…boats coming and going…the mesmerizing blue waters. All of this very close to the villas on the quiet portion of White Bay. I wish we had stayed longer this time, because there are so many more things on the menu we wanted to try!

In a past review I talked a lot about the staff and team at WBV, and that bears repeating. These are some of the nicest and most genuine human beings we’ve ever met. The housekeeping staff is all smiles all the time, very discreet and unintrusive when you need service of any kind in your unit. Michelle, Maria, Claudette, Lucy, and so many others have brightened our days with their kindness and hospitality over our three visits. They will bend over backwards to make you happy. The restaurant/beach club team (Kidd and Leena – hope I’m spelling close to correctly!) are personable and so much fun to hang with while dining/having drinks. And the owner is almost always on-site mixing it up with guests and sharing his passion for the island. When someone is genuinely invested in a dream and in making that dream a reality for his guests, it shows. This is not just another property. White Bay Villas is a special, special place and we cannot wait to get back yet again, ASAP!

Memories of beautiful White Bay and tranquil Jost Van Dyke are keeping me warm on a snowy Michigan morning. We just returned from 11 glorious days in the USVI and BVI. Our stay at White Bay Villas, and our overall experiences on JVD, were the highlights of the trip. I will write an extensive trip report, but wanted to review WBV separately as our party of two couples absolutely loved our time here.

We had originally planned to stay in two separate Seaside Cottages while on property, however decided to splurge and stay in the Plantation Villa. While we undoubtedly would have been very content in the cottages, we were extremely happy we took the plunge and moved to the Plantation Villa. Our communication with the property was seamless. In fact, it has been, by far, the easiest reservation/communication/ logistics process I have encouenetred in all my trips (many) to the Caribbean. Bonnie was always prompt and professional. Courtney handled our private land and water taxi arrangements and Maria efficiently managed our provisioning needs. A special thank you to Dustin, our water taxi captain, for starting our trip off on a truly positive note.

The White Bay Villas grounds are lovely. It is evident that great care has been taken in restoring the grounds to pre-hurricane glory. There are numerous new plantings and flowers abound. The Plantation Villa is quite lovely in a gracious, old Caribbean way. The kichen was well equipped. The bedrooms were serene, with comfortable beds, high quality linens and plenty of fresh, fluffy towels. Everything was spotless. The AC was a must for us at night. It had been raining - alot - prior to our trip; AC not only kept us cool at night, but it kept the mosquitos away. The views were absolutely stunning. Pictures truly do not capture the beauty, colors, or feelings you encounter while taking in the views of White Bay from the terraces or tower. We enjoyed early morning coffee and breakfast on the covered veranda, frozen banana coladas, complete with fresh sugar baby bananas Godwin kindly brought to us from the property grounds as we watched the sun fade into the sea, and after dinner drinks while strumming guitars and watching the masts sway in the bay. Our days were spent walking White Bay, exploring the local area by dinghy (what fun!), and sighing at the views. Everything about our time here was magical.

Thank you Bonnie, Maria, Courtney, Godwin, Michelle and team. We can't wait to return.

My husband and I decided to stay on Jost Van Dyke after several day trips to Jost from Tortola on previous. Kevin greeted us at the ferry/made himself available to answer any questions and even give us lifts to Great Harbour. Our cottage was just what we needed with an amazing view White Bay. The walk to White Bay was made easy with a well maintained hill path and stairs to White Bay. In addition to White Bay Villas, I highly recommend breakfast at Christine's Bakery in Great Harbour, lunch/dinner at Hendo's Hideout, sunset cruises with Jost Van Dyke Scuba and Bun's taxi service.

Before we touched down on the dock, our host Kevin was ensuring everything was perfect. As we pulled up, he had a taxi waiting for us. The taxi dropped us off right by our door. The compound was well-manicured!! It was pristine! Just beautiful. It felt like you were in an exclusive resort.

Each villa had it's own 'yard' space. My kids loved the yard and were keen on exploring as much of the property as possible. The views were immaculate. The water was was SO blue...TURQUOISE. I don't know but it was a perfect shade that beckoned us down to it each day. The weather was warm but the water was the perfect temperature.

The villa was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals, including herbs and spices if we wanted. There were beach towels in the room. We had laundry facilities below us. Two bedrooms and two baths with a pullout sofa was the perfect fit for our family of six and included A/C.

Everyone on the property was so friendly! It was like I was meeting family for the first time. No one hesitated when we needed something.

I could go on and on and on. You just have to visit White Bay Villas! It's safe, quiet, clean, and has beautiful views. It's nature's true, perfect little secret.

Traveling from the US to the BVI’s during Covid can be a bit of a challenge. Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY!
Our family had visited the BVI’s twice by boat and were blown away by the beauty of White Bay. We were determined to return but next time our stay would be overlooking heaven on earth. Learning that the BVI’s were reopening to visitors on December 1st, I booked two villas for our family of six at White Bay Villas. Prior to entering the BVI’s, we were required to complete a travel portal, have a negative Covid test result and purchase travel insurance in order to receive an approved travel certification. All international travelers to the BVI’s must enter via the airport on Beef Island/Tortola (EIS). Upon arrival at EIS, everyone is again tested for Covid then transported to their accommodations for a four day quarantine. After four days you are tested again and if all tests were negative you are free to go any where.
Why go through the effort? We had once in a lifetime experiences having our own private beach on White Bay and having the Baths to ourselves! The White Bay Villas was the perfect place to quarantine. You had everything you needed to prepare meals, mix cocktails, play games, a large deck overlooking White Bay and access to the beautiful grounds and private beach. We had a wonderful family vacation free of the concerns and constraints of lockdowns in the US. Probably the most important reason to make the effort is we felt safe. Knowing that all visitors and locals you encounter have tested negative for Covid is very freeing. After quarantine we were able to walk to the Soggy Dollar and Hendo’s Hideout for games, cocktails, lunch and dinner. We even celebrated New Years Eve dancing the night away to a Reggae band at Foxy’s! The most normal thing we’ve done for ten months and it was so much fun!
The staff at White Bay Villas are happy to welcome you back and Kevin is “The Man” who will make sure you have everything you need in Paradise. If you have questions about the logistics of traveling to the BVI’s Lucy Remington, White Bay’s Reservations and Guest Services Manager has the answers for a smooth travel experience.

We have been long time guests and fans of White Bay Villas. This was our first visit since the hurricane, and the best has only gotten better. The service has always been excellent, but now they are even more so, checking each morning to make sure all is good, offering rides to and from the beach and ferry dock, assisting with ferry logistics. The new Paradise Villas have up to date electronics (ipad/phone provided in unit), the bed and linens upgraded, and bath fixtures/shower are state of the art.

White Bay Villas has been our 'happy place' for decades, and we are pleased to report that the best has only improved. Thank you Bonnie, Kevin, Maria, Courtney, Joy and Chrissy for your responsive, helpful and attentive service before, during and subsequent to our stay.

My husband and I went to White Bay Villas hoping for a complete unplug and we found that here. The location is superb, situated on a hill overlooking the bay, with a nice walk down to the beach. The beach is quiet and pristine, with gorgeous trees if you like to get out of the sun. Just off the beach is an expansive coral reef for endless hours of snorkeling. You don’t need to go anywhere. The villas are incredibly comfortable and have every modern convenience you could want. The owner’s attention to detail is evident throughout, from the beautiful hand made cabinets and furniture, to the back up power assuring you are never out of power if the local grid goes down. WiFi is always available. The staff- the most AMAZING part, are fantastic. They are always pleasant and will take you anywhere, get you anything to make your stay the best it can be. If you love the Caribbean, you will not want to miss White Bay Villas.

What an unforgettable experience! We had our daughters destination beach wedding and we stayed at White Bay Villas. We rented the Plantation Villa and the Papaya Villa. The Plantation Villa is a large multi-wing unit that sleeps up to 12 comfortably. The viewing tower sits on top of the master bedroom and has a spectacular view of the bay.
The Papaya Villa sleeps 4, but is really a secluded romantic unit for a couple.
The clubhouse has some delicious food items. Kayak, body surfing, floats, water games are all included.
John and Kevin are great to work with. The staff is beyond friendly. Maria, the office manager made our check-in effortless even though we arrived 5hrs early for check-in. She held all 10 peoples luggage and had them delivered to their respectable units once the units are available. Michelle did her daily check ins and made sure we had everything we needed for the day. We highly recommend this lodge and we will definitely be returning!!!! Not disappointed at all!!!!!

My husband and I stayed in the Tamarind cottage and had the best stay of our lives. The staff made our stay pleasant and easy! They communicated well, they answered all our questions, and when we let them know we were coming in on the ferry, they picked us up! Kevin is amazing! He was so kind, thoughtful, and helped us with everything that we needed. Such excellent customer service deserves commendation! Thank you, Kevin!

Additionally, the cottage was well stocked with dinnerware, paper products, towels, etc. and it was very clean! The stereo for music, roku tv, and Wi-Fi were an added bonus!

The view was phenominal! We enjoyed every moment of our stay, we will definitely return, and we highly recommend it! We cant wait for the restaurant to open, it will make the stay even better!

Stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Kevin met us at the Ferry dock and assisted us greatly with all of our luggage and boxes for our weekend staycation. There were 9 of us and we stayed at the Pavillian Villa- a 5 bedroom villa built for a king and queen. The ambience was great. The space was great for us to come together for our meals, yet we had enough space for relaxation. The view of St. Thomas and St. John was also awesome. I did a massage on the floating Ocean Spa which was also relaxing and different
White Bay beach was crystal clear and so enjoyable. We took the ten minutes walk everyday for a sea soak! We have recommended this great place to our friends.

Look out Kevin, they are coming. We had dinner at Gertrude's and A and B restaurant. The food was so delicious, lobster roti and stewed conchs!!
Kudos to Mark our taxi driver who also took very good care of our driving needs! JVD was an awesome place for a staycation. We will be back.

The Villa we stayed in was dual, if that makes sense...there was the main building above a lower building...each one held a couple comfortably. The main building held a small LR and kitchen along with a king BR. Below, there was a King BR and bath. Both had patios with beautiful views of White Bay. Enjoy!
