Last minute switch to a 6 night stay at Neddies turns to our advantage. The room on the main floor was basic but clean and a huge bathroom with shower, tub and large area for wet clothes and more. Small fridge for beverages. COVID rules prevented daily cleaning but fresh towels etc available for the asking. Large common area with great views across the Bay. the upstairs Black Spruce restaurant was fabulous for dinner and accommodated our early morning needs for a full breakfast. Front office staff helpful and friendly.

An absolute gem. The location is perfect on the edge of the harbor in the center of Gros Morne, so nothing was far. The restaurant was the best food we ate in 3 weeks traveling through New Brunswick, PEI, and Cape Breton. Great views and fantastic quality, preparation, and taste. But what really made the hotel exceptional was the staff. From the front desk clerk to the spa to the restaurant, every single person was friendly, sincere, and warm. They truly made our stay special. They would preheat the sauna, make sure we got time in the private hot tub agter long hikes, and gave us great recommendations but it was their constant smiles and happy attitudes that made us want to move in! Management give them all a raise!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Neddies Harbour Inn. We had a lower level room overlooking the Bay with wonderful views of the snow covered peaks of Gros Morne. The rooms were very well equipped, bed very comfortable. We had a fridge in our room and wine to purchase if we wanted. The restaurant served us two excellent dinner meals and breakfast. Highly recommend you book ahead to eat at this restaurant for dinners during your stay you will not regret it! one of the best in the area. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

We started out Newfoundland journey at Neddies and were so delighted with the lodging and the food at Black Spruce! Our family of four, including two college age kids, traveled from the states to have a Newfoundland getaway. We stayed in Herbie’s escape, which is a two bedroom house just up the road. At first, I was sad to not be at the inn, but the innkeeper’s knew better- it was great for my boys to hang out in the yard and for us to enjoy the deck. We loved the kitchen and enjoyed meeting Stephen, the groundskeeper, who gave us some great Rocky Harbor history.

this is a small upscale resort on the water in Newfoundland. The rooms are clean ( ask for a room with a water view) and the staff is very friendly.
the best part of the visit is the food. We had dinner there and the cod was amazing. the breakfasts are prepared with fresh fruit etc and the staff is so friendly

Don’t understand the attraction. Not near anything. In the midst of a residential area on a dead end road. Rooms are spacious but basic. Views are not great unless in an end room. If you get a ground floor room you will hear people stomping about above you. Restaurant/Black Spruce has a rather spare menu. No salads other than a roasted root vegetable salad. Though restaurant was empty we were shown to a parking lot view table versus the sound view. Breakfast not included in room rate. Disappointed my travel agent sent me here. Least favorite location on our three week trip so far

Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry we were not to your taste. We do have a simplistic style which is really appreciated by most of our guests. It sounds like you didn't get the opportunity to see our beautiful sunroom with a panoramic view of beautiful Bonne Bay and the Tableland Mountains. It's a wonderful common area space with the best view of the entire building. As all our rooms do not have that view, it is well appreciated by our guests. We do not have a large menu, at our restaurant, The Black Spruce. We make everything in house and our product is seasonal. If we did not have local greens available when you were here we did not serve them, hence the roasted root vegetable salad. Product we can source. Our seating chart is prepared ahead of service and although it may have been empty when you arrived, chances are each table was booked out and we accommodate with window views whenever possible. I hope you found more suitable accommodation and meals while you were here. Our area has so much to offer with something for everyone.

This inn lies right by the ocean with a fantastic view of the mountains. Very comfortable beds and bathroom facilities. Great place to watch sunrise. We even saw a minke whale one morning while having breakfast. The staff are very friendly. The sun room is great if you prefer to watch sunrise inside. Very clean and a top notch restaurant right next to it. Its our 3rd time staying at this Inn. Will return again for sure. This time, our internet was a little sporadic and am sure the bug will be fixed next time we go back. The Inn keeps a very strict operational protocol during the pandemic and we feel very safe. Social Distancing is well maintained and hand sanitizer stations are everywhere. Even restaurant staff are keeping great COVID-19 practice to a T.. and for that we feel safe and THANK YOU.

We are 2 weeks into our 3 week trip and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The location is wonderful and so lovely to experience total silence. Our room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. We ate here one night and the food was excellent. Breakfast menu offered a large choice and was cooked to order. The staff were so friendly and made us very welcome. Highly recommend this gem of a hotel

Neddies Harbor Inn is a wonderful place to come back to after a day of hiking and sight seeing in Gros Morne National Park. You will love the spectacular views from the Inn and do not miss the fabulous food served by the in-house restaurant, The Black Spruce. The rooms are inviting and very comfortable. Highly recommend our corner room, Shag Cliff, with a panoramic view. Everyone from reception to the staff in the restaurant were so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

2 bedroom home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay, catch up on laundry and prepare meals when we chose to. Also very much enjoyed the seafood chowder and tenderloin meal at the Black Spruce. Complimentary breakfast was great. All the staff we met were very helpful, kind and made our stay one worth remembering and Neddies worth recommending.

I'm so happy you'll be staying with us! We start breakfast hours start at 7:30 a.m. and if you need to leave earlier we can arrange a breakfast to go. Our hot tub is available from around 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. You're going to love L'Anse aux Meadows!!
Good Morning and thanks so much for your inquiry with us. We generally recommend a three night stay in this area as there is so much to do and see but of course that really depends on the individual. There are many beautiful walking and hiking trails and boat tours as well as cultural and musical offerings. For a group of three couples you would need three rooms however we also have a beautiful three bedroom house located next to the Inn that also may be suitable for you. Perhaps you could call and discuss your options, we would be happy to help you with your planning.
