We spent two nights at Gros Morne Cabins. Very nice, clean and spacious cabins with a great view of the harbor. Check in and check out was a breeze. The cabins has all the amenities you will need (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, etc), all you need to bring is your food (coffee is not provided) and clothing. Each cabin also has a bbq for guest use and there are fire pits (with wood to purchase) along the property for guest use. There is also a laundromat on site for guests to use ($2 for each wash and $2 for each dry). I would highly recommend this place. We will be back.

This is a great place to stay! The cottages are very rustic looking, but extremely well maintained. They gave you the feel of being in a cabin, but with all the amenities of home, and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with a fridge, stove, toaster, dishes, cutlery, etc. Beds were comfortable. The cottages are situated along the water in this scenic quiet Rocky Harbour community. Just down the street from the cabins (in walking distance) is a fantastic restaurant called Earle's. We ate there several times and enjoyed delicious home cooked meals.

We stayed here on our staycation. The cabins are very roomy, very clean, and well equipped. Check in and out was a breeze, with very friendly accommodating people working there. The store is top notch with groceries, clothing and souvenirs.

We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms we had were lovely and in a building with 10 suites. However, the thing that ruined it was that there was no WiFi, even though the amenities listed it. There was a sign in our rooms saying we could sit in our car by one of the cabins or use a picnic table outside it (it was pouring rain while we were there) to connect to the Internet. The excuse was that Internet service is difficult in rural Newfoundland. That is true; however, we went to a nearby hotel for a drink and then dinner and the WiFi there was great. Further, even at the boat dock for the Western Brook Pond tour had WiFi. The management of this property needs to upgrade the system. It would be okay for one night but we were there for several days and needed to connect as we were dealing with a situation at home.

This is our second time staying here. The setting and cabins can’t be beat. The huge problem for us was lack of communication from the front desk. If you book, we would recommend getting in writing (in advance) what they will charge your credit card. They take your CC number but don’t charge it until after you’ve checked out. Ours was charged $90 more than we had been told via email communication. This felt crooked and dishonest. Super disappointing and frustrating after an otherwise pleasant stay.

Whenever I read a review, I do so with interpretation. Not all travellers have the same expectation of their service provider. Some have low expectations while others have exceedingly high expectations. However, when I write a review, I do so with as many facts as possible. I try not to allow emotion to influence what I write. booking the cabins was easy, a quick call to their office and a pleasant voice was on the other end to assist in our request. A bad experience is not necessarily defined by what occurred, but how a service provider reacts. On our second night we planned on having a barbecue. With Rocky Harbour being a small town we were only able to find frozen steaks. Preparing for our supper, I was defrosting the steaks in the microwave. I will say that the microwave was very dated, including a problematic door of which you had to push the release button and pull the door at the same time to open it up two minutes into the defrost mode the microwave caught fire and our steaks were ruined. The grocery store is owned by the same people that the cabins are and we were reimbursed for the loss of food and our microwave was replaced. It put somewhat of a damper on our plans as we were attempting to have an early supper to free up our last evening in the area. Additionally, I checked on the provided barbeque at the cabin. There were no utensils to clean the barbecue as it was filthy. The following morning, my wife was laying down on the couch in the living room area. Above her was a ceiling fan with a glass globe. Without warning, the glass globe fell from the ceiling fan, landing on the table in the middle of the living room area, sending shards of glass everywhere, including on my wife and some of our belongings. Obviously something that we did not want to have to deal with as we try to pack up and leave for our next destination. I went to the office to report the incident and I will say that they did send some folks to help clean up the mess rather quickly. Now when something bad, bad or wrong happens when you are paying for a service, I think it would be safe to say that each of us has somewhat of an expectation as to how it is that we would be compensated for the occurrence. No one pays nearly $300 a night with the expectation of this kind of incident happening without having some kind of compensation. All we were offered was $20 off of our nightly rate. Now this could’ve been a very tragic event had a child or someone gotten glass in their eye, causing permanent damage. I told them to keep their $40 and that I would be pursuing other means of compensation. I also told them to mitigate the risk of this happening to anyone else, as they had the same sort of fan and glass globe set up in all of their cabins that they needed to go around to each cabin and ensure that the screws that hold the globe in place were routinely checked. Again, my review is based strictly on the facts of the events that happened and not an opinion of the accommodation.

This was a nice site that could accommodate a family reunion. For what you get though it is overpriced. The cabins and their contents were mediocre for the price. We had no issues so can’t comment on the service, we stayed three nights and left. I am still not sure why we were charged an extra 20$ per head in a two bedroom cabin to have our daughter and her fiancé stay with us. I guess if we didn’t the other bedroom would have been empty. Rocky Hr just has the short NL tourist season so I guess they have to make money when they can. Certainly not 5 star probably a 2. Oh almost forgot do T let the robot mowers freak you out they just go about their work.

The rooms were immaculate and the beds very comfortable. There was baseboard heating which was great for the chilly nights. The company was also very accommodating with our late night check-in and early morning hiking tour, and we were able to check-in the next day. I loved the connection to the local residents, from the quilts to the soaps. Our fridge broke and was replaced with a brand new one within 15 min - talk about service! The kitchen is well stocked and the picnic tables outside were so thoughtful and lovely.

Cabin was awesome. It had a separate queensized bedroom with closet to hang up your clothes. a separate 4 piece bathroom and a well stocked kitchen with a full sized fridge, stove and microwave and table and chairs, couch and tv. Very well equipped cabin and it was very clean.
There was a store close by to get food and other supplies (there was a bbq at the side of each cabin.) We also bought our Gros Morne park passes at the store and coffee in the morning.
cabins were right on the harbour so the view was great and there were also outdoor firepits and benches to hang out in the evenings.
I would definitely stay again and recommend to others

These colourful cabins are in the best location, right on the harbour! They're rustic, knotty pine cabins that are immaculately clean and comfortable. Our cabin had a kitchenette, the bed was really comfortable, there's a BBQ attached to the cabin and a picnic table out front with a view of the houses around the harbour and the Lobster Cove lighthouse! Take your pic with the inukshuk.
