Great friendly wee place, just like the island. Felt a bit woozy after the ferry trip and they showed me to my room where i promptly fell asleep on a nice cosy wee room. This si exactly what you would expect from am wee hotel on a wee island. perfection. thanks

If it's luxury and style you are after you will be disappointed.....but if you are looking for a scrupulously clean, comfortable old style hotel with total calm and peace, then the Scarinish Hotel fits the bill. I stayed 3 nights with my 92 year old Mum. Beds were very comfortable with crispy white linen. Meals were outstanding. The views from... More

This is a return visit for us after enjoying dinner here this time last year which was delicious then and still as good again pleased to see this harbour side restaurant busy at this time of season and after speaking to some other island visitors who have stayed there for several years this says so much

The people in the hotel are nice. The decor is tired and the rooms though big are very tired. The wall paper on the ceiling was coming off in our room. It isn't a relaxing place, although it does have a guest area with nice views but it is littered with laminated notes about what to and not to do.... More

Lovely views. Fresh food and a strong local theme to the menu. We had excellent crab claws and some lovely local beef backed up with first rate chips. With a little work the service could be really warm to match this great location.

I find it hard to pinpoint my lack of enthusiasm for this hotel. My room was clean and comfortable and the food was very good. The hotel is in a lovely situation but the building is ugly. The place was very quiet with a subdued atmosphere. There were some amateurish repairs in my bathroom and the bedroom had wires everywhere.... More

We didn't stay in the Scarinish Hotel, but we did have lunch there on a day visit from Mull. The lunch was perfectly fine in our opinion, nothing spectacular but decent, honest grub as described on the menu. We both had soup and burgers. I tried the beef burger, which was nice, and my wife had the chicken burger, which... More

The Scarinish Hotel is ideally located next to ferry terminal and on a little white sandy beach which is stunning! Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful but some lacked the hospitality we expected. Service could be slow too, especially in the bar where we ordered a tea after eventually being served we waited over 20 minutes. However,... More

Loved this place. Location. Food including haggis nachos which were a must. It's rustic. It's rural and it's run by Fiona. She looked after myself and treated my in laws like royalty. Wine on the table before we arrived, early check ins, breakfast to have a heart attack over. They also had THE room with THE view. We loved every... More

We stayed three nights in this hotel. The location is great. The views are stunning. The staff is friendly and helpful. We, family with two teenagers, had two rooms with a shared bathroom. That worked out really well. The rooms are definitely tired and in need of some upgrading, but for us that was not a problem at all. Breakfast... More
