Small friendly hotel on small, quiet Scottish island 3 miles off the west coast on the Kintyre peninsula. 20 minute crossing from mainland on regular Calmac ferry. Locally sourced produce used in our kitchen, also local products sold within the hotel. Just 2.5 hours from Glasgow.

Old fashioned comfort and good food in a lovely setting. A great base for exploring the island. Staff friendly obliging and efficient. Food was good including local specialities - e.g scallops and halibut from the surrounding waters.

We had a lovely stay in Gigha to ring in the New Year. The hotel staff were absolutely amazing, including the owners. The pub attached to the hotel seemed to be a hub on the island and the locals we met were very warm and friendly. Cell phone service and WiFi were a bit limited

I am sorry I was not able to give you a personal welcome. My excuse was IT problems to sort out and support closed for the holiday also tax returns to be completed. We will in check in to the smell in the suit window seats. We are refurbishing the Hotel and we need to fit a pressure system on the hot and cold system as the water tanks are at the same if nor lower than the bathroom.

Hello, the walk from the ferry to the hotel is about 10 minutes. If you let us know which boat you will be on we can arrange to collect you. When you come off the boat you will see a wooden shed on the let hand side - this is Gigha Boat Hire - but he also hires out bicycles. Kind regards, Gigha Hotel
