#6 of 6 hotels in Romford
Welcome to Harefield Manor, a quality hotel with competitive prices. The main reception of the hotel lends itself to a Victorian House, originally built in 1881, one of the most prestigious buildings in the Essex area. The hotel has 53 en-suite bedrooms; all the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. More importantly, the housekeeping team pays particular attention to cleanliness, comfort and upkeep throughout the hotel. Harefield Manor's on-site restaurant, I Paparazzi Ristoranto Italiano, is renowned for its excellent cuisine and has won many accolades to sustain this factor. The restaurant has a range of menus, a fine a la carte menu complimented by a specially selected wine list plus the great value Special Acclaimed Set Menu or just choose from the snack menu and a quick drink in the bar or garden.

Easy to find as is on main road through Romford. Some rooms are across the road from the main building and bar, requiring a short walk across the pedestrian crossing for breakfast. Rooms are large, clean, comfortable with usual offerings of kettle for hot drinks, fridge for own use, shower is very good, large fluffy towels. Breakfast is buffet style, good range of choice with allergies taken care of if notified at time of booking.

Stayed at the harefield manor hotel while at we r fest, homely stay and 10/10 breakfast. The manager was very helpful, she went out her way to make our stay enjoyable. Would definitely recommend. Very nice

Stopped here while attending a wedding, we arrived after a 4.5hr drive and pulled into a parking space, you have to cross the road to check in, this went smoothly and we were in our room within 5 mins. Bit dated is the decor but the bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfy. We did loose our parking space and ended up parking in the street, no big deal. Had a decent sleep and woke to the smell of cooked breakfast. This was spot on, hot and plenty of variety, very clean dining area and plates cleared soon as we finished. We checked out at 10am and spent an hour in the beautiful park behind the hotel. Would definitely stay again.

Terrible service. The receptionist was very rude to us on our checkout day. We parked the car in the entrance parking because my father, who is partially invalid, needed easy walking access. And the receptionist started shouting I shouldn't leave it there and chasing me. I was shocked, specially when there was a lot of space to manuvre. Someone else parked minutes later with a much flashier car and he was very kindly greeted in! Other than that, the hotel was average to be honest. Room was spacious, but buffet breakfast was limited and very scarce.

We drove from Scotland in an emergency and managed to book a room for 3 days here last minute, the first room allocated to us was very small and had a few issues, I spoke to reception regarding my concerns and was moved within minutes to a much larger room. The hotel it’s self is welcoming, clean and I must say the best breakfast I have had in a hotel in years and I’m fussy about these things. The decor is dated and there appears to be a unpleasant smell of sewage in our bathroom at times but over all for the price, location, staff and breakfast this is a great hotel and we will be using it again when we are back visiting, perfect for a couple or single person. Thank you to the staff for being so helpful
