The hotel takes its name from an ancient defensive earthwork which runs for three miles from Pinner Hill to Bentley Priory and which dates back to Roman times. The earthworks formed part of the boundary Surrounded by 40 acres of tranquil gardens and grounds, which beautifully combines period charm and modern comfort. Whether you decide to stay in the main house which has nine bedrooms, all on the first or second floor, some of which have four poster beds with luxuriously appointed en-suite bathrooms, or in the more modern garden lodge which is adjacent to the main house and has a further 37 bedrooms with either double or twin beds and en-suite bathrooms, be sure that our friendly staff will be on hand to make sure you have a peaceful and enjoyable stay!
