We had a bit of a problem on arrival, but with a large american RV this can happen. All resolved to our satisfaction by the tireless effort put in by Rena. Already looking forward to our next visit. We were wondering last minute where to camp close to London, outside of the Low Emissions Zone. This Campsite was perfect. The Bus comes right to the campsite, and takes you straight into London with just a further tube ride to see the sights. The staff were extremely friendly and also helped with a quick first aid box when my... More

Wow the couple who were wardening the days we camped, I could not praise enough. They met us at the barrier and gave us the red carpet treatment all the way to our campsite and kept in touch throughout our stay

Stayed in a Cocoon for 1 night for a budget stay in the area, the cocoon was surprisingly warm with a heater. Had a double bed but this was a little uncomfortable. Only other facility was a kettle. The shower block was clean and in good condition. In great location not far from other Lee Valley attractions including Lee Valley... More

When you look at the campsite's location on a map you could be forgiven for thinking you'll enjoy a nice quiet break by the lake side. The website boasts of a rural countryside location and even uses the word peaceful. I'm afraid the reality is quite different. That lake right next door on the map is a reservoir you can't... More

As many finds out, visiting London with a Motorhome is quite hard... After many trials of various alternatives, I can recommend the Lee Valley camping sites as a good option. During season they have a bus from site to zone 3 underground station (Walthamstow Central) ride of 30 min. A cab of the same is 20-25 £. And takes 15... More

Camped here for three nights with my son, excellent base for exploring London. Bus stops at entrance to site and drops you off at local train station then it's just a short train ride into London. Staff very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again
