It was such a treat to be taken away for a bit of sophisticated luxury. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon checking in to our spacious double room. Which looked like it has fallen off the pages of Home & Garden. The bathroom was equipped with a toilet that through modern technology virtually does everything for you. Going down to have...

Wanted to thank all staff at the hotel especially Kellie and Ben for making my daughters wedding the most amazing experience. Apart from a couple of hiccups with the reservation staff. - they really need to get their act together - everything Else was exactly as planned. Would highly recommend. Thanks to all

Good value lunch with or without a voucher, lovely setting and a charming venue. Service very average though which lets the place down. Although this was probably because we were using a voucher. Having read an earlier review where the management response to a comment re poor service was that once the discount vouchers finish we will find a better...

I think the comment related to the pressure of volume caused by the vouchers rather than the individual service. As all food is prepared fresh, volume is very difficult to service quickly and maintain the necessary standard expected with 2 rosettes.

I went for afternoon tea. The hotel venue has a number of nicely furnished function rooms, a terrace and pleasant gardens. I found the staff to be friendly and professional which helped created a relaxed atmosphere. There is large choice of teas available and the staff are very attentive to the needs of people who have specific dietary needs. The...

Me & partner visited The Manor for lunch over the bank holiday weekend in August. The setting is beautiful, especially on a lovely sunny day as we had. Grounds are well kept & maintained to a high standard. The food & service was good. It's certainly not the best meal I have had. The menu was ok, not particularly varied....

Met a friend here for coffee (£7 for 2 ) one Sunday morning. The terrace and the lawn beneath is a sun trap with a stunning view. Beautiful grounds and an elegant place for a catch up. Staff very friendly and helpful

Went for tea on Groupon offer. Poor sandwiches - bread too thick for meagre filling. Tiny pastries, smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with cheese spread so thinly it may as well not been there. The hotel has obviously seeen better days and is badly in need of refurbishment. Toilets downstais (no lift) in need of a good clean and...

My room in the purpose built part of the hotel was fine, but the noise from the air-con units outside was not good, nor was another internal loud noise from something electrical! Not great if you are a poor sleeper! Food was good expensive and very small quantities -so welcome if you are in a diet! I was not and...

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry you had a disturbed nights sleep. The restaurant is 2 rosette and as such focuses on flavours and creative eating rather than large portions, which for the price is considered to be excellent value. WE do appreciate your comments many thanks

We were on a deal and the lunch was very good in a lovely setting. It is a stunning old house with incredible views but looking around it could do with a little more investment. The entrance door has a lot of knocked paintwork and there are areas at the back that need attention. Looking up at the left side...
