We visited to celebrate a birthday and had a light lunch in the bar before exploring the bar's various gins into the afternoon! Beautiful historic building and lovely food for exceptional prices. Thank you to Tristan and Samuel who created us several delicious gin concoctions - we highly recommend letting these two experts choose your next drink! Try the "pink...

Stayed here when I was on a work trip and found the room to be very comfortable! It wasn't very big but it was cosy and clean. Only problem I found was the curtain didn't quite cover the window properly and with the hotel being in an old building there was a slight draft through the window. The gardens were...

The hotel was beautiful and had amazing rooms. Extremely comfortable and a great getaway! The food, on the other hand, wasn't very impressive but the service and the setting was gorgeous and left me in awe! I definitely recommend going.

I organised a small corporate event in January 2017 on an exclusive use basis over a weekend. The quality of the food and service was excellent. I am very grateful to all members of the hotel team, from back-of-house, reception and housekeepers to Chef and the kitchen team and all the waiting staff for their hard work. Special thanks to...

Lovely place, great room. Breakfast service rather abrupt. The waitress (mid 50's) was very disinterested and did not offer more hot drinks or even toast. We had to ask for it when our hot food arrived without toast. This is England - we eat toast with fry -ups! The young chaps in the bar were keen to help but seemed...

Tudor Oddity in Arkley (oh ok Elstree if you are estate agents) just off main road but secluded. We stayed in the manor for a one night re-charge and work catch up. Nice building and nice rooms- no chintz in evidence! Heated loo seat cum bidet....points for trying. Annexe is modern and would not be my choice. Gardens are nothing...

I cannot say anything but good things about this hotel, we stayed for a night and it was amazing, we arrived early and where upgraded to another room with a garden view, the garden is absolutely gorgeous even in its muddy state! With the giant chess board in the middle out looking across London. Our room was beautifully set out...

Relates only to afternoon tea: This lovely Manor House is owned by Laura Ashley so I was expecting something more inspiring than bland plain walls and dull art. The lack of imagination surprised me. The disappointing decor didn't help lift the flat atmosphere. The service was good and the choice of teas varied and overall the afternoon tea was ok....

Beautiful private afternoon tea for my daughter's 21 st birthday. Our waiter Gabriel was so discrete but attentive - wonderfully skilled in entertaining- and the food was fabulous and plentiful. Thanks a million too to Kellie (Events) for accommodating our change of booking. My daughter and her friends had such a lovely time.
