Firstly the hotel concept is very nice, a bit like a budget Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I booked a safari view room for myself and my daughter and we were given room 211 on level 2 which had a good view. All the animals were in when we checked in by 3.45pm but we saw some Zebras and an ostrich the next morning which my daughter loved. Check in was smooth and friendly and I strongly advice pre booking the pool and dinner. We used the pool and you have to go ready and leave in towels, which isn't ideal and I don't see any covid risk with using the changing room afterwards when people are right next to you in the pool anyway! I booked dinner which was in the safari restaurant and ordering via the app was very easy. The food wasn't very cheap but it was good. I ordered a side of macaroni cheese for my daughter and it was huge, so save yourself some money if you have a small eater. The nachos and wings were also very good. The room - this is where I felt the work needs to be done. There were stains all over the floor, chips in the furniture, no plug by the bed, limited cheap coffee with uht milk, no water, no alarm clock and other peoples children could be heard very easily being let to run the halls and shout in their rooms gone 10pm! Which kept my daughter awake. The carpets around the hotel were also very dirty. I got my room for only £50 as I had a discount from hotels.com. but I definitely wouldn't pay full price. Breakfast was busy but had a good selection, but after sitting down and leaving all the food and coffee I'd just spent 10 minutes quing for, my daughter wanted something so I quickly took her to get it and came back to find our table had been cleared! Anyone could of seen it hadn't been started and was still hot. So the supervisor went and got it all again. The splash pool was good and the 1 hour fast pass you get for staying in the hotel really helped as by 11.30 the ques were 1-2 hours, even on a Monday. I would stay again if it was cheap but otherwise I'd aim for a quite day and stay in the Premier in next door for less.

Amazing hotel, good food at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast, a wonderful atmosphere for the kids on holiday and adults too. Such a great idea to have the safari area outside. We loved it and will be back.

Nice, clean, wonderful themed hotel. Very friendly and polite staff. Plenty of space in the family rooms. Restaurant served nice food and was very COVID-19 aware. Also, the Gruffalo paying a visit was a bonus, as my daughter loved meeting him.

When we arrived we headed straight to the park so didn't check into the hotel until 6.30ish. Our 2 10 year olds loved the reception with it's animals and Haloween themed decorations. The check in process was good with helpful staff and we found our room easily. We stayed in a Giraffe themed room and added on the birthday package so had balloons and gifts as we walked in. The decor was amazing, we were really impressed. The children loved their room with bunk beds and the gifts in the safe. Beds were comfy and shower was great. We had breakfast in the Temple restaurant which was lovely, plenty of choice and again great staff. Over all the whole stay at the hotel and within the resort was really pleasant. I was a bit worried regarding the restrictions and added safety measures due to Coronavirus and reading previous reviews but was really impressed with our experience. We will be back.

We’ve just had a lovely Halloween weekend at the hotel. Stopped in a monkey themed room overlooking the park animals. Great themed decor and easy access to the park. My children loved meeting the gruffalo character on site. Great touch to have a cinema room which was showing Halloween kids film all weekend. The only complaint I have is we precooked the temple restaurant, the theme was great, the food was not. Not much choice and basically a canteen sort of atmosphere. Not worth the money. We had breakfast in the safari restaurant and that was great, so when we go again I will book dinner in that restaurant also. We will definitely use this hotel again.
