Review

The room is nice and cleaned and is also furnished with television and mini refrigerator. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is nice and filled with the nH products such as shampoo, body wash and conditioner. A hair dryer. The room is provided a safety box. We stayed there for 3 nights. We enjoyed the services and the variety of breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality as one of those days were my husband’s birthday and the nH and the chef surprised us with delicious homemade pastry and cookies and a bottle of champagne on the table in our room for us to celebrate on my husband’s birthday. 🥰🇳🇱

Good and convenient business hotel : free parking, good food at Luigi's bar, nice and clean rooms, ... You can expect there a good quality sleep. Very good value for price. Members of NH have some benefits (but not "recognized" by reception staff".

We booked a superior dubbelroom and the room was OK. The first night, some of the neighbours were there with the intention of having a good time by having a small party in of the rooms close by. As it was already one in the night I phoned the reception desk and they came over to arrange the situation. Not firm enough apparently as the music stopped but talking, laughing and walking arround didn't. After a seccond call at one thirty in the night the message became more clear... The other morning I asked for an other room as the neighbours stayed longer... Itr was not at the same level and after asking for a free breakfast for one night the recepcionist gave us that... All together it was OK, the staffe made an effort but could have done more and more firmly in my opinion. The hotel is not new and should have a renovation, especialy what the badrooms concern. The distance to the city of Rotterdam by train is not far and by car easy to reach. They have a good parkinglot where you can park without any problems. Taking all into account the price / quality was more than OK.

This hotel is freezing cold, they don’t turn on the heater because they are saving money that way. Was here also 3 years ago same issue they always say heater is broken.
The manager Quince Dirks has contacted me and told me again the heater was broken that day. If you read reviews from different pages you will find out that it isn’t true about the broken heater. They will offer you a little heating fan that makes a lot of noise.

They must take this hotel from the nh group or change the director immediately

Even the shampoo and showering gel was empty !!!!

I want to be proud of the town I grew up in (Capelle a/d IJssel) and wanted to brag about the only Hotel in town but after living in the US for 27 years I like to have my AC. I asked if I was doing something wrong but was informed it was broken and would be fixed tomorrow. This went on throughout my stay. The girls behind the desk were friendly and kind but threw up their hands as this is what their mgt was telling them to say. Will be fixed tomorrow. The free WiFi is completely unusable. We have Ring and wanted to tell the delivery guy to an envelope out of sight but their WiFi will not let you stream. Email was hit or miss. Facebook you can’t upload pictures - it times out. I had better performance in Dalian China bypassing network restrictions blocking fb via a proxy server bypassing this than operating out of NH Capelle. I was here in May/June timeframe. Windows only open to a little crack, with AC not working, my wife using the blow dryer and iron we had to rush leaving the room each morning to escape the heat. Also rooms come with coffee but they were out of milk. We shopped for our own milk at Albert Hein eventually, not a huge deal but do like a cup to wake me up and missed a few. It is also a good indicator of how poorly this Hotel is managed. Running out is one thing but not correcting for over a week…. Such a shame. The building and location are great. You do have to watch out for cameras near the hotel for both speed and red light. We had a room with the browns and tans, one step up from the lower rates so we could have a queen sized bed instead of two single beds. The vacation wasn’t ruined but we were offered to stay with relatives and didn’t because we wanted AC. We paid upfront with Amex points and $500 or so in cash. Reservation was not refundable, would not have stayed 13 nights if I could have gotten out of this deal.

First of all on arrival the entrance was badly lit.. on check in the reception staff not very pleasant!!!!
then was told the restaurant was closed this was 7.30pm
We had to eat in the Bar, there was only 1 thing on menu I liked so when it arrived slightly warm and tasteless..
The bar manager was very rude indeed, so didn’t have desert or coffee.
When I finally got into bed exhausted from travelling and working all day I found the bed uncomfortable (hard) and the pillows were small & awful like paper thin and as if the filling was lumpy and could spit peas through them again uncomfortable.
The noise from the hotel room kept me awake.
The WC looks dirty they need to give it a good clean with bleach!!
I certainly won’t be back NH should be ashamed of the above..

Excellent location, close to family. Friendly Staff, great breakfast buffet.
Mostly business men were in the hotel during our stay. The hotel had a bar and gym for exercise. Room service was good and front desk was excellent with the ability of the agents to communicate in different languages.

We stayed for 9 nights and felt really relaxed, specially because we slept very well. Big, comfy room, bed, sitting area and excellent bathroom with lots of space to put stuff. Except for the gym, bar and bikes (rental) there is no entertainment, but for us that was no problem. We didn't get bored with the breakfast; great variety and quality, even for a vegan!
If you have own transport, the location next to the highway is just great. If you don't mind a good walk, there are several shopping places in the area at walking distance and walking in typical Dutch neighborhoods can also be another activity if you stay longer. Most guests though seem to stay just one night or a weekend.
The room has a fridge and coffee/tea facilities. The staff is very friendly and provide anything you need or might miss.

This hotel charged the breakfast twice.
It is impossible to contact them on telephone or e-mail.
Rooms are OK, hotel generally needs updating..
Breakfast could be better, staff here have problems with understanding english and not interrested in the guests

It’s a big hotel with big prices for a room. They let me bring my dog which is great but I am not allowed to drink a Coca-Cola I brought from outside the hotel in the lobby, I was sent to my room to drink it. The hotel is a big, fast paced business without much personality but the ladies at reception where kind and helpful

I paid about 8 euro for a metered taxi from the hotel to Alexander station (about 1 mile away). Uber rates were about the same - if you can find one.

Dear Selim, As stated above here you can take the train from Amsterdam Central station to Rotterdam Central station. From there you take a train or metro to Rotterdam Alexander station. It is a 15 minute walk from the hotel or taxi's are available at the station. The price for a regular far ticket single way is €13.30. Regards, NH Capelle
