Albergue in the middle of nothing, but right along the Camino. Very cosy location of this albergue with bar and water trough and chapel nearby. In dormitory room there were normal beds and the dinner was also fine, especially the waiter was funny, switching between different languages and making jokes. Definitely one of the best location to sleep on Camino, especially if you prefer countryside to cities. It is really enjoable sitting in front of albergue surrounded with forest and meadows and talking with other pilgrims passing by.

This is wonderful family run business is a stunning country hotel/hostel in a beautiful remote location. The food is incredible and such good value. The apartment my group stayed in was recently renovated and offers twin en suite rooms. We had an odd number so I stayed in a dingle room in the nsin building that was perfectly adequate for what I needed. The view from the back terrace is stunning. I would highly recommend.

Casa Morgade was one of my favourite places on the Camino. I had an upper room with a shared bathroom. The view of paddocks and cows grazing was wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the vegetarian food was delicious. The breakfast was scant and when I asked for a piece of fruit (banana) I was told I would have to pay for it. However, overall it was an excellent place to stay.

This is a great place to stop for a coffee on the Camino. They have food and a variety of fresh squeezed juices. The orange juice was especially good. They also have a nice gift shop. In the back are more tables and a great view. Just a little up is a small chapel with intentions.

Hotels really cozy and clean, provide all services , very nice and characteristic structure. The food is very good, Recommendation to taste the sangria.
On the way to Santiago, because of a sore foot, I stopped for a day, and it was beautiful, courtesy of the personal quality of eating.
Recommendation to anyone to stay overnight.

Will definitely go back again. Paco welcomed us with his warm and sunny disposition and he is not the owner. The rooms were comfy. We were 12 in our group. This was the first stop from walking the Camino from Sarria. The cafe was open when we arrived at 2:15 pm which was a wonderful thing.
When we walked in not knowing that this was Casa Morgade, we asked the man behind the bar "Is this Casa Morgade?" The man answered, "No, you have to walk 4-5 kms down the road." We slumped down and turning towards the doorway dejected from exhaustion, we heard snickers amongst the other staff. And then the same man said--"No, you have arrived! this is Casa Morgade." The man we learned later is named Paco. There is a gift shop on the premises. The cafe was open for lunch with hot food. And the dinner was served starting 6 pm. And breakfast was served starting at 7 am. We were all very happy. Food was delicious. Paco we will come back to see you.

We were a group of 5 women and had a great time. The atmosphere is great and Paco the host is extremely nice and has just the right amount of sarcasm which made us all laugh. The new rooms are very clean and comfortable and there is a spacious nicely designed living area.

Going the extra mile for people and giving them the authentic feeling of rural Spain. Even in a modern, recently renovated farm where all luxuries are in place. The food in the restaurant is amazing, anyone walking the Camino should definitely make a stop here!

So, as others have reported, this is a lovely place but there are bed bigs in the upper building’s rooms. It seems to have been reported for months and still is not corrected. One member of our group found a big and suffered lots of bites—and only later we learned that this has been a problem here for a while. Nice food and nice location. Just wish this owner would do the right thing and fix this.

Walked from Sarria to Casa Morgade on day 1 of our Camino walk. Casa Morgade is a stand alone series of buildings in an isolated area.
Do not let this put you off, many pilgrims stay here. The rooms are well appointed & clean with an excellent shower & comfortable bed. The food was very good as was the dining location. Staff were friendly & efficient.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking of walking the Camino.

Birkenhead, United Kingdom15 contributions6 helpful votesHola I would like to book for one night on the 25th April for two people with a private bathroom but unfortunately My Spanish is not good and have not been able to get through by telephone I hope you can help me Mucha Gracias Elaine
Management at Casa Morgade speaks very good English, so that is not an issue. When we were there last October we were told they were going to close for the season at the end of the month, so it's possible that they have not yet opened for the 2019 season. In any case, when you call their listed number be sure to use the "area code" prefix for Galicia, +34, then the rest of the number 982531250. And keep trying. It's a great place to stay.
Have you tried messaging through Facebook? It says they reply to messages within the hour.
I have no idea, some places close down during the winter though.
