Positives, : Great location, cleaners in every day, can't say on food as we didn't eat there, staff were very friendly except the guy with the suit behind the bar,Ole????? no help at all and rude , got great maps and advice from reception, lovely polite guy, sorry forgot his name. Room basic, but clean. Pool's nice, the one at the back didn't get much sun so baltic. We landed at 4.35 pm, when outside to no Rep, so followed the instructions on the paper we had, going from one terminal to the other, then to be told we had to hang around for another hour for our transfer, didn't get picke up till about 6.30pm, then we had to go to another terminal which was about 15 minutes away, maybe normal procedure 🤷‍♀️ but from time we landed to get to our hotel was nearly 4 half -5 hrs 🤔 Negative: like the Ryan air of Calella, no frill's hotel,🤭 no fault of the hotel, but the noise was just ridiculous, banging of doors , moving furniture around, the guest themselves doing this, as it is an old hotel the sound traveled through the hotel like a freight train, phone rang every morning in the room at 6am, so we disconnected that, people standing in the corridor at 2 maybe 3am full blown conversation, again loud and very noisy, so we went to bed 1 am, woke up shortly after that ,got back to sleep then up again at 6am , love a good bit of craic and lively holiday, but when mixed with no sleep ,bags under eyes to say the least, husband slept on beach , snores, but at least he slept 😀 😴 👍 so basically you pay for what you get, 3 star hotel, not so sure, and no disrespect to guests, thats where the problem is, sorry 👍

After reading the reviews I was thinking about changing hotels but I'm so glad I didn't. The rooms are basic but adequate, they're cleaned every day with fresh towels supplied. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we were AI and I cannot fault the food, excellent selection of hot and cold food available, kids loved the pools which had lot's of loungers. The hotel is near the town centre with excellent bars and restaurants close by if you choose to use them also close to the beach, all in all we really enjoyed our stay.

Myself and my 11 year old daughter stayed here for 5 nights 25th-30th September. The hotel was perfect for us, rooms were cleaned everyday, bed's were comfortable, balcony was a decent size. Our room was right opposite the lifts and there was very little noise from the corridor, only when people were waiting for the lifts or passing our room but not enough noise to disturb us. The staff were all polite and friendly, my daughter had an accident during our stay (this was no fault of the hotel it was due to her own clumsiness) and the man on reception that evening was so lovely and offered me antibacterial wash and plasters, she ended up needing to go to the hospital and he rang us a taxi and asked how she was on our return to the hotel, I can't remember his name but he is a credit to this hotel. This hotel is in a perfect location, there is a supermarket opposite and it's an easy walking distance to the main town for food and shopping and a road train stops outside the hotel roughly every 30 mins The pools were clean and plenty of sunbeds when we were there There is entertainment in the hotel in the evenings but we didn't go to this, we also didn't eat in the hotel as we prefer trying different places so I can't comment on the food but there is lots of seating in the restaurant. I would return to this hotel without hesitation, thank you for a fabulous stay!

Ignore the bad reviews we stayed b&b breakfast was fine plenty to chose from so you won’t go hungry room was spotless cleaners are around everyday hotel is clean pools are clean loads of sun beds 3 pools to chose from drinks are reasonably priced for example in Calella a bottle of Estella is between €2.50- 3 euro in hotel only €2.20. Didn’t stay in for entertainment but it was available every night perfect location for shops bars restaurants and beach this is a great hotel for family’s it’s a good 3 star hotel it’s not trying to be 5 star so ignore the people on here that pay for a 3 star hotel but expect 5

Room very basic but clean had issues with shower day before we checked out so could not shower before we left food awful very poor selection and cold microwave provided if you want to reheat but that should not have to be if food was served and kept hot on the banmaries small number of staff really nice manager I spoke with was very helpful rest of staff and one in particular in main bar very rude and cheeky they way he spoke to other members of staff was ridiculous and totally unnecessary think he needs to rethink his career because it is definitely not hospitality Giving this hotel a one star is extremely generous for what we paid would not recommend at all worst place I have ever been Calelle is lovely though and would go back

We looked at the reviews on here before going on holiday and can easily say our experience here was excellent, it's a 3 star hotel (says it on the door) we were sold it as a 4☆ , all in all nice clean rooms , something to eat at all meal times ( even for us picky eaters) enjoyed our stay , only let down was the lack of things to do in calella on an evening,

We just got back from a week at the H Top Hotel and I have to say that it’s been a brilliant holiday. The day we flew here we were given this hotel instead of the one we’d booked, which had been a 4 star hotel, and having read the reviews we were very apprehensive and were not looking forward to it. How wrong we were. The reviews had said everything from being too many people in the pool, too slow at cleaning plates away in the dining room, small rooms etc. The truth is the rooms are small, but the room is not what you’re here for. It’s a 3 star hotel, so don’t expect more. Every room has a balcony and air conditioning, so what more do you need. The food has been amazing and plentiful. Yes, you have to wait for the fresh meat to be cooked at the show cooking station, but what do you expect - if your in a restaurant you’d wait longer. Yes the tables weren’t always cleaned straight away, but it’s a massive restaurant and the staff work hard and are all very polite, The location is incredible and the town itself is everything you want and need. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff were all helpful and friendly. There was entertainment every day and the pools were never packed. In fact this is the first hotel I’ve been to where you don’t have to queue for a sunlounger first thing and they always had plenty of room. So you know what, it’s not 5 star luxury, but it’s a great 3 star hotel with everything you need for a great holiday. Don’t complain for the sake of it and enjoy and be grateful that you can afford a holiday, because millions can’t
