I stayed one night in the Bierzo Plaza while walking the Camino. The hotel lobby is quite ordinary but the staff was helpful. My room was spacious, very well decorated, and with good quality furnishings. It was also very clean and seemed to be quite good value considering the price and the quality the hotel provided.

We only stayed here one night. The hotel is in the historic centre of town (so access could be an issue). It is very modern, clean with a nice bathroom etc. The wifi was good as was the breakfast. The town was busy so it might be best to have a room a the back of the hotel (as we... More

I've stayed twice before so I know the form. I chose to stay at this hotel for the great location which is on the central plaza, where you can watch the world go by as you sip a drink on the terrace in front of the hotel, before enjoying a pleasant meal. Since I was there last, they have covered... More

Good welcome and rooms are good size. Beds comfortable. If you are on the Camino this is a great place to rest up for a day or two. Loads of history in the town. Great castle. The hotel has a restaurant but there are plenty of others close by. Breakfast good. Car parking under the square but you need to... More

Correct 3* very well located in the old town and close to attractions, bars and restaurants. My room was somewhat noisy as I could hear all the people in the main square, I'd recommend asking for a back facing room. The breakfast was ok. I would come back.

On a lovely square in the old town. A short walk to the temples castle. Reception was good and friendly. Room was large with good bathroom. But....no outside window, just a velux one in the ceiling that had little or no outside light. No one though fit to point this out when I booked either on line or at reception.... More

Stayed here the first night we got in town for the beginning of our Camino journey, it was perfect! Right on the square and if you get one of the front bedrooms you can see everything going on, lovely hotel.

Charming. A few moments walk to the castle, museum, churches, restaurants and located on an interesting square. The hotel comprises several connected buildings. I stayed twice, on two separate occasions. My first room had only a large sky light, which was hard to operate with a remote. My second had an actual window. Since the buildings are old, the rooms... I booked a double room for 2 nights, including breakfast. We arrived by train and got a taxi for €6 from the station. Hotel Arol Bierzo Plaza is situated in the old town on the plaza where the Town Hall stands and is very central to all a tourist would want to do, like the Basilica, Castle, Museums. Restaurants and... More

After a hard day on the camino, l was worried about the hotel I was staying at, this was a little gem, made fabulous from the moment I arrived by the lady at reception. I arrived early and she was able to move me to a room so I could receive an early check in, the room was quite spacious... More
