Beware of the reps on the beach in maspolomas he says you win a tablet and vip trip , i was sceptical to only be proved right they get you out there and talk none stop about you signing say you win a smart phone, tablet or smart watch when everyone gets a smart watch , they are very unhelpful when you dont sign and leave you stranded outside for 1 hour and 30 mins to when i rang a taxi myself and pre ordered one . Very poor service when you wont sign for a holiday or timeshare ........
The Anfi Beach Club in Gran Canaria was booked via RCI a Timeshare Exchange Company. Their accommodation confirmation letter stated our unit will be assigned on arrival at the resort which intermates that the Anfi Beach Club would select our room. But we were informed by Anfi Beach Club that RCI selects the rooms. Most of the Anfi Beach rooms have a Balcony with great sea views. So why did RCI Select one of the worst rooms for us, with a view of the back of the Hotel. No sea or garden view, not even partial. Plus, to make it worst RCI did not have the decency to inform us of their selection. It seems Customer satisfaction with RCI is not one of their core values. If you are booking direct to the Anfi Beach Club or via a Travel Company, if a Sea View is important to you, ensure, you have in writing confirmation of a Sea view as many rooms do not have a sea view. …
Excellent location and well maintained. Ideal for families or couples wanting a relaxing good time and the weather is great all the year All amenities which are available are there to suit all need and requirements.
Rooms are large, we had a 1 bedroom. We had to clean the counters, but otherwise the place was quite clean. The pool is very nice and the beach is close. The restaurants by the beach are terrible, even the gelato was just ok, eat elsewhere! The small restaurant by the pool was pretty good, they had Happy hour with good drinks.
Complete scam, tourists I urge you to beware. These reps lurk on Meloneras beach, they come across very charming and will claim you get a free “beach day” as part of a government initiative to make a southern area of the island more popular to families. Stupidly, we fell for this trick and agreed to meet them the following day. They loaded us into a taxi and upon arrival it slowly started to reveal itself as nothing other than a coldly calculated trick - wanting you to buy into a timeshare on the spot and sign their paperwork. We left immediately. The experience not only wasted a few hours of our holiday time but left us feeling stupid and humiliated that we fell victim to this elaborate tourist scam. Please, DO NOT trust these people.
We were tricked into coming here by a representative who passed herself off as a tourist guide for the government whose job it was to show tourists to a new beach resort. We were promised free transport there and back, a free water sport for the family and free sun beds for the day. The hope was that we would tell our friends how lovely it was. We agreed a time to meet her the following day. As she ushered us quickly into a taxi she mentioned something about attending a 90 minute talk on arrival and that we should “look interested”. On the way we read the small print on the “ticket” she gave us which revealed the truth that we were actually being taken to a timeshare sales pitch. We complained on arrival and refused to attend the talk. Fortunately the taxi back was free but all in all we felt totally duped and rather stupid for being taken in by it.…
Anfi Beach Club is a top quality resort with very high standards of cleanliness and maintenance; the gardens and grounds are beautiful. The property is right by the beach with easy access to its own area with sun loungers and parasols which you can hire by the day for a reasonable price. It is also convenient for a number of water-related activities to satisfy all tastes.
I have been several times with my family. Every time we have loved it and will continue to visit. The pool here is particularly lovely and the restaurant serves good food, cocktails too especially at happy hour. Located just by the beach means you have the best of both worlds and if you haven’t visited the island you should! The gardens are well maintained and the pools are a nice addition. Highly recommend.
First time visit to ABC on an RCI exchange. The setting is fantastic with lovely grounds, pool and a cracking beach on the doorstep. Anfi restaurants a bit disappointing so had a few taxi trips into Puerto Rico and ate well. Boat trip from Anfi to Mogan worthwhile. ABC staff at reception and on the resort very friendly. Apartment for 4 people has everything you need (except an oven). Only negative was poor Wi-Fi at times which we paid for but overall would certainly recommend this place and hope to come again one day.
Location is lovely and the units are clean - needs updating as shower leaks badly. Sun beds are a huge issue - impossible to find two beds as they are reserved from early in the morning - usual culprits. Tried the man made beach but it is quite dirty. Found a local beach to the left of the complex - about a 15 minute walk away. Great restaurants in the area. Just don’t expect restful days around the pool!
