Good friendly, nice sized resort with efficient staff, although chefs need a bit of training in how to cook meat and fish. Good location within easy walk to shopping centres and small beaches. Enough to keep you entertained on a 10 day holiday
Wonderfull stay. Nice weather top Hotel. Good variety in food. Breakfast excellent, fresh eggs, bacon, pancakes. Lunch with sufficient variety each day. Dinner Super every night. 3 kinds of pasta, show cooking. Cold and warm buffet with excissive choices. top! Drinks all inclusive with enough choice. In glasses and not in plastic cups. Never a long wait when ordered.
Just returned from a weeks stay in the premium part of the hotel. Was well worth paying the extra as we definitely got our moneys worth. The room was really nice, very clean and you could tell the maids made a good effort each day. Air con was a god send. Shame that the mini bar was only stocked once on arrival as bottled water at least would have been a nice touch each day. We didn’t book the a la carte restaurant as there was nothing we really fancied. The main restaurant was good but was a bit repetitive and was sometimes quite random. We didn’t book for the entertainment however had seen so many good reviews about Gino that we were slightly disappointed that we didn’t see him really do any however he did explain that he was having a break. There was one female ‘entertainer’ who was frankly quite inappropriate and after the first day when we she was quite full on during a game of water volleyball ( which was originally going to be tennis football however she said she didn’t know what that was), we tried to avoid her. The second day we saw her we can only assume she was on her break but we didn’t think it was appropriate for her to be swimming and sunbathing topless at the infinity pool amongst guests. Think she would be better suited to an 18-30 holiday rather than this sort of hotel. The bar staff were great in general , only a few members of staff seemed miserable and reception staff were always very helpful. Hotel is in great location with a walk to the main strip taking about 20 mins or about 3- 5 euros in a taxi depending on the time of day. Would definitely recommend a visit to the music square and the harbour as they were lots of lovely restaurants and bars with live music. Overall it was a good holiday . A shame there was no music by the pool during the day as the one time it was on when a different entertainer did aqua fit it gave the pool more atmosphere which it was sometimes lacking .…
Me and my wife spent a week here with our 6 and 7 year olds and had a fabulous time. The hotel was spotless throughout and the grounds were beautifully kept. The staff were very helpful at all times. The room was lovely - the room was huge and the beds were very comfortable. There was no air conditioning but that didn’t really bother us as the ceiling fans kept us plenty cool enough. The food was brilliant - my wife is gluten and dairy intolerant but there was always something for her to eat. The chefs were really helpful and showed her everything she was able to eat. They provided gluten free bread, pasta and muffins. Our children loved the food as well. The town is only about a 10-15 min walk away and easy to find. The entertainment was patchy - some nights there were no mini discos for example. However, special mention goes to Gino who really made our kids holiday. He is amazing at his job!…
Premium room booked on all inclusive. All very clean and fresh. Initial information could be provided on arrival along with excursion options, etc. Spa and Wellness - On premium no charge to use only additional payment for treatments - Very good lymphatic massage and therapeutic massage excellent. All pools - are cold water but fine once in. Lifeguards are brilliant along with the team who monitor and test the pool water regularly. Special mention to Hernan the lifeguard who looked after us at the roof top pool , helping whenever he could, even when my flip flop broke. The team would be out cleaning every morning. Bar / restaurant staff - Some are very helpful and happy, Others appear grumpy and sad, miscommunication between the team could be rectified and improve the team ethic and importance of good customer service. I tried to speak a little Spanish with them and some would only talk back at me in English. Big thank you to those who made our stay special including the chefs. Entertainment team - Mainly non existent during the day unless Gino was working. Many customers were disappointed as Gino is known for his amazing entertaining and returning customers said they would not return again. Main Reception- Bob was great, very informative and knowledgeable. Receptionists on duty on our arrival where not as helpful. Overall a great holiday, yes I would return. Thank you Playa Park. A wonderful holiday meeting new people from different nationalities, new friends.…
Very good bar service Friendly bar and service staff Hotel was extremely clean Rooms cleaned every day to very good standard Food was very nice and hot. Ample selection for breakfast from fruit, yoghurt coissants waffles and pancakes to full breakfast. Dinner and evening meal always had a selection of choice with nights having a particular theme. Always meats and veg and rice and pasta with then other choices for that evening. Always tasted nice even if it wasn’t our favourite choice Location is in the quieter area of correlejo with a 10min walk to the main area. Wasn’t an issue for us as we like a walk after meals. Good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Day time entertainment did lack for both adults and children. Only maybe 2 days out of 9 that there was day time activities. If you have children the pools are great but no other types of entertainment for them. No Mini disco in evenings. Would definitely go again!…
We had a great stay at Playa Park Zensation and have made some lively memories. The hotel is spotless, the food was what we would have expected for a 4 star hotel and all the staff were friendly and good humoured. We were a family of 4 (with two sons aged 18 and 22). I had carefully researched the hotel before booking and chose the ‘premium all inclusive’ for the air conditioned rooms and the greater variety of food and alcohol. This also gave us daily access to a rooftop infinity pool and bar/sunbeds and free access to the gym and spa; our meals were taken in the Al la carte restaurant. The hotel is a 20 min walk to the main town (€3.50 by taxi) and the same distance to some smaller beaches. It is a longer walk to the fantastic nature reserve beaches but I had known this in advance and we hired a car/used a taxi to get to these. I have a chronic illness so we intended to use taxis (which were always easy to hail or the reception staff would ring one for you). The pool areas were busy but not over crowded. The staff tried to ensure everyone got a bed chair but the determination of some guests meant that this wasn’t always possible! However, we were able to find somewhere to sit most days and were happy to use the pool and then sit near to the bar if there were no bed chairs. Our room balcony was also a nice place to sit and relax. I would say that the shortage of umbrellas and shady areas were more of an issue for us than not having a sun bed to sit on; the hotel could do with adding some more umbrellas to both the downstairs pool and the rooftop pool areas. The entertainment was fantastic fun. Gino worked had to maintain a series of sporting competitions throughout the day (the uptake was mostly from the adults!) and the evening entertainment may not have been West End standard but it was really enjoyable. We had a great time singing along and having a laugh with the acts and tbh, though others have criticised the entertainment, it is what you make it. We relaxed with our sons and enjoyed the reggae/Elvis/country and western/karaoke (and more) in the hotel in the evenings and then they, along with other younger people at the hotel, headed into the town for the bars and nightlife. The restaurant was as we had expected; we were given a choice of freshly cooked meat or fish dishes each night and there was table service. There were snacks available from the pool bar throughout the day (great for the late risers who missed breakfast!) and the range of drinks available were more than adequate. Our only issue (and the reason for the 4 stars) was the air conditioning. In our first room the unit wasn’t working properly. The hotel staff attended promptly and tried to fix the problem for us but after 3 nights we asked to change rooms. We were swiftly moved into what proved to be a nicer room (we think it was an upgrade). This solved the problem and was fantastic until our second week when the whole premium block had the air conditioning break down for 5 days! This was fairly unbearable despite the provision of fans and extra water. We were able to speak to the manager who was very apologetic and outlined the problem to us and the stage of repair things were at. They were obviously trying their best to fix the problem and recompense was offered. However, we spent a lot of the holiday without working air conditioning and, for us, this had been a major reason for choosing premium rooms. Despite this, we had one of the best holidays we have had in many years and it was worth every penny. Lots to laugh at and much fun to join in with. In conclusion, research your stay and know what you are paying for (I think the premium all inclusive was worth the extra money), research the area and know what to expect (it is a walk or taxi ride to the town and beaches), and have a great time! It’s not 5 star but it was a great hotel to stay at and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you to everyone at Playa Park Zensation for your hard work and for making our holiday great!…
Staying at the hotel now and although there are good points there are equally some big negatives ! Booked this holiday as we’re are travelling with 3 older teenagers, The way Jet 2 write about the hotel we were expecting a fun filled holiday with the daily activities listed on their website below around the pool Air conditioned gym* with cardio fitness training equipment, free weights area, stretching zone, fixed strength equipment, sauna and whirlpool (min age 18yrs). Aeroball, aqua aerobics, badminton, darts, football, handball, petanque, table tennis, volleyball and yoga. Very disappointing to say the least that In 4 days we have had one morning of pool, ping pong, football and waterpolo all lead by the amazing Gino who has since told us he only does daily entertainment on a Friday - he works behind the bar the other days there has been no other activities at all The gym is 100% not air conditioned and no water supplies in there ! €20 for a week pass and not much in the way of equipment We arrived at the hotel Neil the Jet 2 rep saw us arrive, said hello and made a very quick exit we now understand why as we and had to wait 2 hours for the rooms to be ready and in total there was only 4 rooms checking in not great when you have been travelling since 2am - we’ve not seen him since ! Jet 2 claim the bars and evening entertainment finish at 12 - 1 of the 2 bars closes at 10.30 the other where the evening entertainment is, has finished at 11.30 for the past 2 nights The evening entertainment is very poor been here 4 days we’ve had the same guy Elvis (who sings more non Elvis songs than does) perform 2 nights followed by what can only be described as a carnage pirate show with juggling and a lady supposedly singing opera but left people wondering if she was screaming in pain !! Dread to think what we will get for the next 3 nights till we go home No air on in normal rooms however rooms are very nice large and modern Good points - everywhere spotless - food ok a bit repetitive but always something to eat Would we have booked this holiday if we knew the real truth about the daily entertainment - NO be aware there is nothing for older kids to do - I will be making a formal complaint to Jet 2 for selling us a holiday nothing like they describe…
Nice location, not to far from market, restaurants, beaches shame on hotel, its a modern hotel, lack of information on arrival and booking, limited use of Facilities. No back ground music day or night by the or bar.
Bit late posting but we stayed here in May 2022. On arrival check in was quick and efficient, very helpful with the local area. We loved the short walk down to the town and the sea front every day. Absolutely fantastic stay from the beautiful modern well kept rooms to the pool and the garden areas immaculately clean. The infinity pool is stunning but if you want a bed get there early. The spa was fun with my parents, and again kept very clean, and safe which was good to see, as my parents are elderly and we didn't want any accidents or illness. The restaurant always had a good selection of food even my picky fella could find something. We had paid for the premium package and unfortunately the restaurant didn't open until our last night as there was not enough people in the hotel to warrant opening it....however the waiting on staff always looked after us and provided my dad with steak most nights! They even went above and beyond on my 50th Birthday with a beautiful cake and a sing song! 👍 All of the staff at the hotel were kind and helpful, there are just too many names to mention. But Gino the one man entertainment team you do an incredible job. I do hope they pay you what you deserve, as you always gave us a giggle whether it was around the pool or in the entertainment area on the night, you looked after so many people ensuring they enjoyed themselves! Take a Bow Gino! I do hope you are wearing that Everton Shirt! 🤣…
