After visiting and holidaying in Corralejo many times, this time we stayed here at RUI Olivia Beach rather that in the town, also trying the all inclusive rather than our normal. What a loverly experience we had. This hotel really does tick all the boxes and both my wife and I sat down one day and tried to come up with any negatives but could not find one. Yes the hotel is getting a little tired around the edges in places but the staff all work very hard to keep things spotless and clean. Every area you look at is perfect. Rooms, food, pool, bars, staff etc do not dissappoint. We both could not speak any more highly of all the staff who make this place a delight to stay at and holiday. If we were to mention all the heroes by name you would be reading a book. The main things; rooms clean, good sized and had a fridge, bath/shower and sea view balcony. All looked after daily. Food is hot and plentyful with a choice to suit all tastes. Bars are run by some great people and the drinks choices are vast and of a good quality never having to wait too long to be served. The two pools are a great size, clean and well looked after. We really can't speak any more highly of this hotel and one other thing to add is a note for the Management; please thank each and everyone of your staff in all areas because they are doing an amazing job for you. They're all always smiling, being helpful and going out their way to make the stay perfect. Well done to all and thankyou. We will be returning again next year with more of our family and friends. I recently stayed here and it's fantastic! The service, food, pool and location are just perfect. The hotel is located on Grand Playas, and is remote from other resorts and hotels which is great, as it's not crowded but in a beautiful area of Fuerteventura. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the bus (that takes you directly into Corralejo in about 10 minutes) but also very easy reach with taxi (7 euros). Really easy to reach the hotel with transfer or taxi from the airport. The staff really make this place! Everyone was very helpful and friendly and cannot fault them at all - thank you for making the stay so enjoyable. The all inclusive food and drink selection was great (although not much typically spanish food, but wouldn't have expected that anyway) it was all fresh and really tasty and really cannot fault anything. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a beach, relaxing break in the Canaries!…
Still needs a refurbishment, but you can’t fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The view never changes, how lucky to be there, the place is kept spotless and the three amigos in the pool bar were always smiling and remembered what we drank, food was good too, reception staff were helpful and the welcome present Was much appreciated, good to add some points to my card again. Can you tell me when the RIU hotel in London is opening, thanks again for a lovely holiday
We stayed here as 2 adults and a 13 yrold with the idea of a relaxing all inclusive break and it didn't disappoint. The location is fairly remote which suits us . The Pool areas are large. 2 pools, one used more with small children and the main one is very laid back but still allows balls and floats etc which is great. It is a stones throw from the most amazing sandy beach. We stayed in the annexe which is a short walk from the main hotel and it was spotlessly clean. A good size with double bed, sofa bed/fridge/ bath with shower. The breakfast has the usual cooked options, bakery, fruits and a plethra of granolas, cereals, yoghurts etc. lots of tea and the waiting staff (who are very very pleasant indeed) bring you pots of hot coffee. There is lactose free milk and Soya milk which is a game changer for me. The snack bar serves slush / ice creams and pastries during the day as well as some hot foods and the coffee machine does the most amazing hot chocolate. Food in the evening is perfect, fresh fish is unreal ! salads are amazing too. Deserts aren't great and absolutely no biscuits so if you've a particularly sweet tooth then it might not do. The hot foods and salads were absolutely outstanding, the chef really does need applauding. We've stayed at 5 different TUI hotels and mostly Princess hotels and we are very particular. This is the only one we've stayed at that we will absolutely be returning too because it really did tick all the boxes. Sue & Family…
Been coming to Fuerteventura, for many years to various hotels in Corralejo, and never thought about staying in the Riu Olivia Beach Hotel, oh what we have missed ! The staff are the friendliest we have had the pleasure to meet, the management should be proud of them, every single member greets you with a smile and hello really making you feel welcome. On arrival we were originally put in the annexe which to be honest we were not keen on as my wife struggled with the narrow stairs, went back to reception to request a change no quibbles was moved without fuss or bother again excellent customer service. The rooms are a little dated but are well cleaned and maintained by their hard working maids nothing too much trouble, tv could do with more British channels but do have Sky News, and BBC News. Pool area is cleaned daily to very good standard with supporting staff doing their rounds collecting glasses and crockery virtually every hour so area is always clean and tidy. The reception team are so friendly and helpful and also very knowledgable of the area and what they don’t know will find out for you. We tried the main restaurant, also the Canarian, and Mandarin, which you have to book at reception which are both worth a visit. The hotel sits virtually on the beach which and when sun bathing in the day around the pool, is ideal for a regular dip to cool off but be warned the waves are strong and quite huge at times, to get to the waters edge is a little walk and ideally could do with a wooden walkway, from hotel to beach to make the walk easier especially if you are elderly like us but we managed. The WiFi is not too good only certain parts of hotel you can connect, but not in your room which is a pity. We were on the 6th floor with a lovely view of the ocean and dunes which is simply stunning, the hotel is roughly 2 miles from Corralejo, which can be got to by local bus 1.40 euro s, or taxi from just outside the hotel at 7 euros, I chose walk it. Not much more I can say about this hotel that has not already been said but we thoroughly recommend it you won’t be disappointed, both wife and daughter, are planning to come back in June for a week, may even come back myself I’m so impressed ! One tip if you like a cuppa as you get up in the morning pack your own kettle as rooms are not supplied with one.…
Wish we had discovered this hotel years ago. Whilst being an older Riu hotel this does not impact the high standards that are applied in anyway. We stayed in the annex apartments which is a low rise complex at the rear of the main building. This was great for us we had a lovely free form pool our own bar and restaurant facilities. Everything was spot less , the food was excelllent as was the local drinks package. The hotel is located on the beach and is a short 2 mile bus trip into Corallejo costing €1.2 great value for money quality brand hotel, we will be returning in the future, well done Riu
It’s our fourth stay at this hotel as a family and we always opt to stay in the annex building so we can have a pool view terrace which is perfect for us as a family. However I’m disappointed this time with the restaurant in the annex being shut for breakfast and lunch and the bar being shut after 6pm, the little shop has also gone, it feels a little forgotten about in this part of the hotel. I’m also disappointed that despite the shows restarting up at night the mini disco remains on the grass at 16:45 which isn’t an ideal time much preferred it after dinner pre covid. I think I would be apprehensive about booking our 5th holiday here unfortunately.
Booked the olive beach last minute and wasn’t disappointed From check in to departure the staff were wonderful We booked the annex but was “up graded” on arrival to the main hotel to a room with a sea view! All rooms in the hotel have a sea view! But was glad we were moved has the annex is more for families The hotel is looking tired and could do with a revamp and a lick of paint but everywhere was spotlessly clean The hotel lies next to the National park and next to a 11k long beach with golden sand The room on the 3rd floor had a lovely view over the pool and of the sea and beach It was very clean and room service came in every day The food was very good with a wide choice every day my one is catered for with fish, roast meat ,salads, pizza, pasta, burgers and hot dogs every day If you like a full English for breakfast the bacon isn’t available every day and don’t do sausage but there is all types of eggs ,omelettes etc so nobody would starve! The specialality restaurant s are worth a visit but are buffet service The pool is large but does get busy there is a upper patio area for those who want to get away from it all The pool bar is open from 10.30 til 1800pm when the other bars open up at 1800pm this can be a chore fetching drinks in the day time especially for anyone with mobility issues as the pool bar is down 2 flights of stairs from the patio area The patio area would be better if it was adults only for that peaceful time TiVo and Carlos along with others run a great little bar near the patio area which also has a card, games room We had a lovely time at the Olive beach it is a 3 star but with a few tweaks could be more Would recommend to anyone…
Sat here by the pool with a coffee on a perfect day in Fuerteventura, Hi Everyone !, Less than 24 hours since I arrived yet feel so relaxed at this Amazing hotel. Why Amazing?, well rarely do all hopes live upto reality with holidays but this one is. The Welcome was warm from the reception, shortly after arriving in the room I picked up a call asking if my room were in order, indeed it were I said. This hotel may be classified 3 stars but it as a Big heart that is to do everything to ensure guests are made to feel welcome and have a good time. Yes as so many reviews point out the room furniture is dated, but it's quality and stood the test of time, the cleaning staff are meticulously doing their work to the highest level. Firm but comfortable bed for my liking. Food is very good quality with so much choice, and of course drinks are freely available. There are choices of eating venues, from the main hotel restaurant, pool snack bar, with plenty of choices to keep those energy levels high, there's oriental and traditional Canarian options too !! The location of this hotel is simply Awesome, surrounded by the famous dunes a short distance from the centre of Corralejo, if your looking for outstanding unspoilt beaches without the crowds, look no further, these exceed anywhere in the world. Its an international guest list here, many lovely Spanish and German tourists as well as Brits and no doubt many other nationality. The Riu Oliva Beach caters for Everyone. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough, as I say still nor 24 hours been here but I'm eager to return, as a solo traveller I feel comfortable on my own but able to converse with other guests so don't be put off travelling on your own. The lay out is so well planned, lots of space, quiet areas to sit down and relax, shady areas. If you prefer a quieter bedroom , opposite side to the pool is best, don't forget to take the 3 minute walk over to the dunes snack bar in the annexe where its less busy round the pool than the main building, and finally show your appreciation to the wonderful staff with a smile and a thank you for the great service they give us.…
Sick and diarrhoea and went nowhere out. Several guests sick same week. Frozen rice being defrosted outside. Outcome...nothing. Do not stay here...or book with TUI as despite logging with the rep nothing gets done. Outside clean..inside dirty
