#21 of 46 hotels in Corralejo
The All Inclusive Hotel Riu Oliva Beach Resort opens all year, is located in a fascinating dune scenery with beautiful long beach Grandes Playas on Fuerteventura's north coast, near the "Parque Natural de Corralejo" and approx. 35 kms from Fuerteventura Airport (FUE). Far from any large agglomerations, the volcanic charm of this island and the generous sun that shines on it most of the year make it a perfect place for an exceptional holiday. The hotel has 814 comfortably furnished rooms and offers many amenities. The various entertainment programs, such as RiuArt the RiuFit program and the RiuLand Kids' Club, will keep you busy all day with numerous activities or relaxing with a massage or at the hair salon. In the evening, you can enjoy the best shows and live music and the best nightlife at the hotel's nightclub. You can enjoy exquisite international, Canary Island and Asian cuisine at its 4 restaurants or enjoy the best snacks and appetizers at its 5 bars.

Prison beds and food is what this review is titled and for a good reason. My wife and I stayed here for 10 nights and I am writing this on our last morning before checking out I have started and rewritten this several times as I feel I could be doing the Riu chain a disservice as we really do like Riu hotels. But I'm afraid you always get one that let's the name down. Over the last 10 nights I think we managed about 4 hours sleep per night. The beds have to be the worse beds we have ever slept in, so much so that I wanted to leave half way through holiday and check in elsewhere but was persuaded not to waste any more money. We also heard several guests complaining about the same things The food here is unbelievably bad in comparison to other Riu hotels. If you like pork and fish then you'll be fine but anything else just wasn't up to scratch The entertainment, if you can call it that, was really bad. I so wanted to use an expletive but want this to get published so it helps others in deciding whether to waste their hard earned money elsewhere The only reason I have given it 2 stars instead of 1 is the fact the the staff here are fabulous I will certainly be staying at a Riu hotel again but will never return here

Hotel's Favorite
I recently stayed here and it's fantastic! The service, food, pool and location are just perfect. The hotel is located on Grand Playas, and is remote from other resorts and hotels which is great, as it's not crowded but in a beautiful area of Fuerteventura. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the bus (that takes you directly into Corralejo in about 10 minutes) but also very easy reach with taxi (7 euros). Really easy to reach the hotel with transfer or taxi from the airport. The staff really make this place! Everyone was very helpful and friendly and cannot fault them at all - thank you for making the stay so enjoyable. The all inclusive food and drink selection was great (although not much typically spanish food, but wouldn't have expected that anyway) it was all fresh and really tasty and really cannot fault anything. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a beach, relaxing break in the Canaries!

Hotel is in a great location, right on the dunes & beach. My main gripe is lots of things are closed, the oliva buffet restaurant closed, the annexe snack bar, not serving snacks only drinks. The canarian specialist restaurant closed. Jacuzzi closed, nite club closed, riu art closed. NONE OF THIS IS MENTIONED FROM TUI,OR ON HOTELS WEBSITE. These closures should be mentioned & reflected in current pricing !!. Food that is available is good, nice walk along beach to correleja about 3 miles. Or 1.4 euro each way on bus. 7euro by taxi. Don't waste time or bus fare going to puerto del rosario, small beach, decent shopping centre, that's all, very industrial.

This is my 2nd visit to this hotel. Last visit was approximately 5years ago. The hotel was very clean and the staff exceptional. The food was good and there was plenty of it. The weather wasn’t the best to be honest but can’t fault the hotel for that. The rooms although dated were good, the beds very comfortable and great to have blankets as the weather was in the wet and chilly side. A kettle would have been nice to make a hot drink in the morning. COVID rules were strictly adhered too and it was pleasing to see that anyone not wearing a mask was challenged by any of the staff, very reassuring. I would suggest that the hotel looks at its smoking policy and smoking areas, as a non smoker, it isn’t pleasant to walk past the smokers around the main entrance so perhaps consider moving to a different area maybe?
