Lovely hotel with some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we have come across. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is situated right next to two lovely beaches - our trip was late November but the sea was still warm enough to swim in. The swimming pools were lovely with great waiter service - the food was very varied and of great quality. Lots of different things to try.

We came here as our normal holiday yo Agadir was cancelled. First the positives. Spotlessly clean, fantastic staff, excellent food. Location fantastic with great sea views . Now the negatives. The hotel whilst in good condition is in a time warp into the 80s. Decor old fashioned although good condition. Age demographic is towards the older group and mainly German. We had a great week here and the staff make it a pleasurable experience., although probably not return but wouldn't advise others against a visit.

Hotel was clean and generally well organised with the exception of the lifts which where terribly slow and not that clean. Food was good but the selection was limited compared to previous visits to other RIU hotels we have stayed at.Room where a little small reflecting the age of the hotel.Mattresses where poor.

Feeling badly done to, paid for seaview room, can only just see the sea through the trees outside our balcony, that happens to be right above uncovered drains which stink. Asked to change rooms only to be told that the hotel is full ( permanent excuse taught in receptionist school). We went to the pool today, left our towels and swimsuits on our sun beds while we had lunch and went for a walk, we returned to our beds to find that they’d been cleared, no mats no towels no swimsuits, walked towards the man collecting sun beds and he abandoned his cart and scarpered quickly. We then four our towels and swimsuits thrown in the bushes, we reported this to reception to be dismissed by another unhelpful, unsympathetic receptionist with a ‘you shouldn’t have left them’ unlike all the other guests in the hotel who appear to here on a different basis from us. Needless to say we will not be returning

Ok, I’ll do the positives first & they are mostly positive. We have stayed a number of times here now because we love the location. We are Riu class members & a couple of weeks before arriving I emailed a room request & as before they were able to honour it. We checked in online so on arrival we only had to pay & produce our passports, so check in was quick & easy. We booked All inclusive, having stayed half board previously, AI was only brought in last year, and as previously the food & drinks have been high quality ( more about that later ) we had no worries plus we liked the idea of eating properly three times a day. As other reviewers have mentioned, the staff here are really excellent, polite to a fault so no complaints, we tip a few euros a night for house keeping, they do a great job. No complaints with the food, we enjoyed it all & felt the quality was the same as previous visits. The hotel seemed busy, plenty of guests seemed not to have purchased AI & opted for HB We chose AI for the first time ever for a few reasons, the location of the hotel, not a lot close by, included in the price above HB is lunch, the room safe, normally €21.00 a week, water is included & we drink a lot of water, at dinner from memory water is €3.00 a bottle if HB & alcoholic drinks are included. So overall we enjoyed our stay as we have in the past & I’d more than likely expect to return as we love Fuerteventura & the beaches around the hotel & going into Corralejo a few times too. So the niggles, alcohol related....When you arrive the minibar is stocked with four beers, two miniature Bacardi’s, two miniature Vodka’s, two miniature whiskey’s, two waters still & sparkling & approximately six cans of Coke / Fanta . We don’t drink beer, I drink rum & coke, Mrs drinks Gin & Tonic. Only the water, beer & Fanta , possibly the Coke too are included, the miniatures ARE NOT included, found out after I drank a few of them & enquired at reception why the minibar was not being restocked. If you want it to be restocked you also have to hang a card on the door requesting it. If you ask for a gin & tonic, you will get Larios gin, it’s a Spanish gin, the Mrs liked it, if you ask for a Bacardi & Coke, I’m not sure what you get but it’s not Bacardi, I watched the barman at the pool bar move two bottles of Bacardi out of the way to get the rum he was giving me, couldn’t quite see the label, it was ok-ish but not what I asked for & I wouldn’t buy a bottle of it for myself. If HB and ask for a Bacardi & Coke, that’s what you’ll get but obviously you pay for your drinks. On our last full day I ordered a Bacardi at the pool bar, barman went for the cheap stuff only to discover they were out & poured Bacardi, I promptly ordered a second one, hotel must have been out altogether as got Bacardi all evening from the main bar service too, happy days, do Riu really need to penny pinch this much at Palace level? Another AI guest at the bar requested a ginger ale only to be told it’s extra charge?? Asked for a tonic water instead , nope had to settle for a Coke, didn’t get the impression he was making his own drinks & in fairness ginger ale on its own is nice, maybe somebody wasn’t feeling 100% I also felt they didn’t have enough wait staff on in the pool area, it could easily take 20 minutes from the time you decide you want a drink to getting it, by the time you attract the attention of a waiter, takes your order & returns, poor guys & girls are ran of their feet At the end of the day it’s an older but well run hotel, good food quality, spotlessly clean situated on a great beach with great friendly hardworking staff, we will return but I’ll bring a decent bottle of rum with me next time, pretty cheap to buy locally As regards Covid-19, plenty of sanitiser available, everybody is masked while moving around, staff masked at all times, guests are respectful of personal space, no issues.
