We spent 8 nights at the hotel for our first holiday abroad since Sept 19 prior to the pandemic. The hotel is large and we were fortunate enough to be allocated a high room(607) on the top floor which afforded us fantastic vistas both of sea view and the mountains and sand dunes behind us. Tje room was more like a suite - double balcony and patio doors. Spacious seating area and bedroom area and the bathroom was large and had both bath and shower. One observation I would make and this is of the hotel in general is that it is probably in need of an update in decor etc. It is a little dated. The rooms were kept exceptionally clean. One thing to improve would be tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. This was lacking and if we wanted a beverage (especially as we were confined to room more than normal due to bad weather) we had to go to bar to get a coffee or tea. We only ate in the buffet restaurant which was perfectly fine. Good selection of food each day ( you get used to it being abit samey but as there is a wide choice means you can vary day by day) We couldn't get a reservation in the speciality restaurant (was surprised there was the only one alternative for such a large hotel ) so my advice would be to book as soon as you arrive. The main thing which shines about this hotel is THE AMAZING STAFF. They are a joy and all work so hard, the reception staff, bar staff, pool staff, cleaning staff, restaurant - all of them deserve a big pat on the back. But for one special shout out I do want to mention Angeles in the restaurant. She was simply brilliant, remembering by husband's food allergy and how we liked our drinks. Her energy, enthusiasm and attention to detail made our holiday. Thank you

Hotel's Favorite
We have been visiting the tress Islas now for near 18 years and have never been disappointed again our 3 week holiday went without any problems even the famous Fuerteventura wind cooperated by not turning up and temperatures were well above average for five days 38c phew !! Check in was very smooth and room was ready with great sea view. Many of the staff we have known over the years have now retired and Suzanne from reception has now also retired and we wish her a long and happy retirement and thank her for all her help over the years. The hotel was about 90% full and Covid was covered extremely well masks have to be worn in the hotel except when lying on Sunbed , on the beach and when sitting in the restaurant hand sanatizers were everywhere so we felt very safe. Beds were well spaced out and taped off saying please don’t use but as per normal some people took it upon themselves to remove and then use the Sun beds . Food was up to usual standards so you will not have a problem with the varied selections. The Hotel has new management and Paul deputy manager seems extremely keen to push the standards back up as the hotel was once number 1 we wish Paul all the best along with the new manager. This trip we decided to go for All Inclusive and for 3 weeks we found it great value the safe was included which is normally 23€ per week which we never agreed with !! The All Inclusive included the mini bar stocked with water , soft drinks and larger and replenished every day . The staff make the hotel and nothing is to much trouble there was many new faces in the bar and pool area but one David stood out boy he worked so hard to deliver a great service. We were here at Christmas and the town was near deserted with bars and restaurants closed this trip the town was very busy and restaurants and bars seemed to be doing great business . So to conclude if your looking for a rave and loud music the hotel maybe not for you if your looking for value for money , great on the beach location and spotless hotel with peace and quiet then this would be the hotel for you . We will be visiting again Covid permitting for Christmas and New Year Book and Enjoy

We had two weeks here from 14/10 until 28/10. Firstly the hotel is in a lovely location, the hotel “areas” i.e reception, rooms etc are really good and well maintained The food was the same every breakfast, and every lunch time. The returning guests are of the opinion they take some kind of precedence over first time guests!! As, listed in another review, we also witnessed the Chinese/ German lady arguing with people she believed had taken her place from the day before!….There were also several German male guests doing the same thing!…we actually saw and heard a physical altercation, between a German male, and an English male. The fight for sun beds began at the crack of Dawn, the hotel all going down clad in their white hotel dressing gowns to bag a bed!…You have got no chance of sleeping beyond 6.30, as all you can hear are the beds being dragged around the pool!!…..and yes, they were swimming at 6.30! There are no beds on the beach, and there was no way I was being a part of the pool folk, so we went into Corralejo and bought two beach chairs and an umbrella, at a cost of £100, but it was worth every penny, to get away from the pool. In my opinion this hotel is set up for only one nationality, and it ain’t us. The hotel need to manage that area better, as it was completely out of control during our stay. I would never go back, as lovely as the beach is.

There is good and bad in everything. It wasn’t all bad. I will start with the positives. The staff, discounting the management were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and spotless, as was the hotel. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly and polite. The grounds were well maintained and the pools were clean. The location was a little isolated so I guess apart from booking trips we just stayed in the grounds and hit the beach. So there are the positives. The negatives now. If you snooze you definitely lose at this hotel. Guests were on a mission to reserve sun loungers before 6am every morning. The poor pool man couldn’t get his hosing finished😩. Then after breakfast there was a mad dash to grab the sun bed cushions that were brought out on trollies. It was like a rugby scrum. There didn’t seem to be any pool rules either. Swimming before 6am! It was still dark. Health and safety is obviously not on the agenda. If you enjoy a cuppa in your room before breakfast, you will be disappointed to know there are no tea/coffee making facilities. There are no daytime activities. There are no sun beds or umbrellas on the beach. Quick dip and back to the pool unless you want to risk 3rd degree burns sunbathing. The pool tiles need replacing. Looked tired, but was clean. The food could have been better. Felt like Groundhog Day. Same food choices for breakfast and lunch. Not much different at dinner either unless you like pasta and bolognaise. Packed lunches are not a part of the service. The evening entertainment was really poor. Just my opinion. The management could do better. During our stay, there was a Chinese/German guest who quite blatantly paraded around literally terrorising people. Claiming sun beds and seats that obviously weren’t hers. We witnessed this at least 3 times during our 7 day stay. On the last day, she tried to claim our table at breakfast. Our belongings were at the table! It did not go down well for her tbh 😜. She tried to bully the wrong couple. Why did the management not step in? There were couples there that go back year after year. Seemed a-shame that she was allowed free reign to ruin someone’s holiday time and time again. I found the whole experience exhausting. I do not feel relaxed and rested, as I expect to do after a holiday. I need another holiday to recover tbh. I would definitely think twice about booking this hotel. It is not for the young hearted.

We spent an idyllic 2 weeks at the Riu Palace We had everything we needed but we did think that some areas of the hotel needed updating. That would not put us off returning though as the staff were wonderful, so helpful and pleasant with nothing being too much, problem.

Great location. Furnishing a bit tired but clean. All staff fantastic. Friendly, attentive and happy. Food and drinks excellent. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Sun beds a problem having to get up for 07,00 to reserve. Many which had been reserved were unused. No management control.

Love this place to recharge our batteries. The staff are lovely and do their best all the time. Already booked a week In December for a bit of sun. We had a room facing my Los Lobos Island this time for the first time and again no complaints. Lovely room, lovely View. I don’t think it matters which room you have you will have a great holiday.

What a great holiday we had the hotel is set in a beautiful place with two stunning beaches. The hotel is first class, the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble, they work so hard always with a smile and greeting. I like a hotel to be clean and this hotel has top marks from me it was spotless. The food was very good with lots of choice , we tried the other small restaurant the decor is lovely and a nice change to have waiter service but the food wasn't for us, the best part was the dessert. Its a nice relaxing hotel with evening entertainment, some better than others. I had been looking forward to a Pina colada and was very disappointed it was very watery I think it was because we were all inclusive ( you don't get branded drinks) As others have said you have to get up early to get a sun bed by the pool. We met guests there who had been back 20 times, we also made some lovely friends. We did a tour around the island and a catamaran trip both were very good. We popped to the Sunday market (selling mostly crafts ). Would definitely go back :)

This was our 3rd visit, it was lovely and those beaches...... this time we had suite 449 and it was worth every penny.. we had a terrace with recliners and umbrellas, a seperate balcony with chairs and tables,a huge bedroom and a sitting room, as we said worth every penn. The staff are great but TBH the catering left a little to be desired and the evening entertainment a lot to be desired.. the food was ok but nothing special and the vegetarian choices were very limited. The menu in the Krystsl restaurant hasnt changed since weve been visitng.. all in all it is a good hotel. Plenty of parking and in a position that truly is unbelievsbly good but does need a little tweeking. Willl we go back ? A big yes..m
