We had a lovely holiday at The Safari Park hotel and there was a lot we enjoyed about the place. Positives - The room was clean, comfortable and relatively quiet. - There was a lot of food available. The main buffet restaurant was about what I expected from an all inclusive restaurant. Generally OK food. - The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were made particularly welcome by the staff at the mini golf bar who were all brilliant. - There was a lot to do in the hotel and surrounding area. We walked a lot, used the local buses to get to porto cristo and borrowed bikes to go up and down the coast on the cycle lanes. - We got into all the themed restaurants. The Asian was only OK but the Indian, Italian and Tex Mex were all brilliant. Negatives - If for you hell is other people and specifically other people's kids this is not the hotel for you. The main restaurant was really noisy at busy times with the sheer volume of children as most people there had at least one with them. Don't get me wrong kids are kids and are entitled to be noisy on holiday but a calm pleasant dining experience it was not. We just avoided it at busy times, booked the later slots at the themed restaurants and used the mini golf bar which was virtually empty after 7pm. - The Tui reps are not helpful. They are there to sell you pricey trips and can offer next to no advice about the local area. Do your research, use the local buses and you can get to local attractions like the Drach Caves and Palma very easily and for a fraction of the price of a Tui trip.

Quick version: if you’ve got kids - bring them here. There’s so much for them and you to do together, and even the fussiest of eaters will be catered for in the excellent buffet. Long version: I’m a grumpy double dad, and wanted to find someplace my wife and kids would enjoy on our first overseas trip together. I booked via TUI, all inclusive, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my choice. We ate like kings, we were busy with fun activities all day every day, we were surrounded by friendly staff and happy holidaymakers at all times. The hotel apartments are spacious, spotless and comfortable. The grounds are well laid out and maintained. The Peacock we encountered wandering about the mini golf course seemed to think so too. The evening entertainment was varied, suitable for all ages, and tons of fun. The food beat all my expectations, and as mentioned earlier- you and yours will be catered for no matter your tastes. Vegetarian? Gluten free? They’ve got it covered. I definitely over indulged, and I’m the proud father of a food baby. Take it from an anxiety ridden sourpuss: I loved Protur Safari Park Aparthotel, and I think I’ll struggle to find an experience as good elsewhere.

Booked this hotel for our first family holiday with our 18 month old as I knew sa coma was a peaceful family friendly area and it was one of the best decisions I've made. From the moment we got off the bus we were amazed by this hotel. Room - cleaned almost every day, secure, large beds, baby cot, modern and decent size bathroom. Food - we started off eating in the buffet halls and couldn't complain. Loads of options of food, drink and deserts. We all know how expensive turkey, chicken and fish is in the shops.. Well get ready to enjoy as much as you can. There's also a snack bar which does stuff like kebab, burgers, hot dogs and meatballs for lunch. If all of that isn't enough there's 4 a la cart restaurants included which consist of Asian, Indian, Mexican and Italian. Drinks - estrella on top all over the resort.. Alone with a variety of soft drinks, wines and cocktails but special shout out to Estrella. Amenities - lots of pools for all different ages including a heated Indoor pool for cloudy days. We weren't aware of how many activities were included in the all inclusive so next time we're going for an extra week to squeeze more in. Also 2 massive mini golf courses. Staff - never have I seen such happier hotel staff. They're so welcoming, always happy to chat and helpful. We'll be back next year. Lastly I'd like to give a special mention to Bruno a member of the bar staff. Top man.

Return visit this year - 31 of us this time, a mixture of family/friends/couples covering 3 generations from 11 months to 66 years of age! There's something for everybody now, although the hotel is geared mainly towards families with young children, but there are plenty of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues outside the hotel more suitable for couples or those without young children. We had room 1012 this year (1010 last year) and our daughter, son-in-law and 18 month old grandson had the same room as last year, 1002. The rest of our party was scattered far and wide across the hotel but that didn't matter as we mostly did things in various groups depending on children. Check-in was efficient despite the large number checking in at once (not all us!) and our rooms were ready despite it being only just after midday. Rooms as before: plenty of wardrobe/storage space, reasonably comfortable beds (we requested a double and got the usual twin beds pushed together but never mind), kettle, microwave, and a fridge. They are cleaned to a very high standard. The pool towels and safe key require a refundable deposit which is fair enough. We were able to get BBC1 BBC2 ITV1 ITV2 Channel 4 and Channel 5 plus other English channels. The bathroom is a good size with a nice large walk-in shower and lots of good storage surface next to and underneath the sink. Limited toiletries provided although I always bring my own shampoo and conditioner. The hairdryer is mounted on the wall in the bathroom and was very efficient. The restaurants offer a good and varied selection of food although sometimes, particularly during dinner, it could do with being hotter. The self service wine on offer is awful in my opinion but the beer and sangria are both very nice. The bar and restaurant staff all very friendly and helpful. We didn't bother trying to book the themed restaurants as they are virtually impossible to book and the food isn't that much different to the main restaurant (we tried the Tex Mex last year and were very disappointed). The grounds and pools areas are kept immaculately clean. There are more than enough sunbeds round all the pools and we saw very little "sunbed reserving" the week we were there. The improvements over last year:- the AI cava is much nicer (last year far too sweet for me) and the entertainment after the kids mini disco was much superior than last year's dire acts and geared more towards an adult audience. thank goodness, so again, something for everybody. Our daughter and her friends with young children are already talking about booking for next year as they found it perfect for their needs but us older couples would prefer to try another, less family oriented hotel if we wanted to visit Sa Coma again.

Came to this hotel as a couple with our 10 month old baby. Let’s get in! I want to be honest and provide feedback to the hotel so hopefully some things can be taken into consideration. Airport transfer 5/5 - I was worried about the transfer time as some said it took 2 hours. We flew with TUI and used their coach transfer which took just over an 1 hour each way. Please note we didn’t drop anyone off before we were one of the first drop offs on the way. Our baby just slept/sat in our laps and honestly it wasn’t bad at all! Bring a sling for back up if baby is smaller. Hotel lobby 2/5 - Thought this was worth noting - so much wasted space and no bar to get a drink. Really nice sofa areas so maybe a bar in this area to chill ! Rooms 4/5 - like apartments! Separate bedroom to sofa/dining/balcony space which is ideal for families. Fridge/microwave/utensils/cups/kettle - ideal for heating/keeping food. However no tea/coffee????! At every resort I’ve been to there has always been options to make coffee so this strikes me as strange. I love one in the morning on the balcony. Also no bottles of water provided? We had to go buy some in the town. I would expect a bottle or two at least at the start of the holiday in the fridge if nothing else. Also no full length mirror in bedrooms which I would have liked. Beds hard as some other reviews have said but I didn’t mind too much. Cot was provided without asking which was excellent for baby. (One thing - the room we were given had two singles pushed together which was a bit inconvenient with a baby who crawls, I’m sure if we had asked the hotel would have changed rooms for us to have a king) Food 4.5/5 - I’ve been to loads of all inclusive all over the world. The food here was great! Lots of choice and my baby got to try different options. Seen a lot of people moan their kids didn’t like the food - there was chips/pizza/nuggets every lunch and dinner so there is that if that’s what is a concern. Otherwise lots of lovely food to try and choose. Would have like a potato mash as that was something which was never there and would be a good option for babies. I minus a half point because I have to agree the food was often lukewarm but truthfully I was happy as it meant my baby didn’t get burnt as we do baby led weaning and she could get stuck in. Also LOVE LOVE LOVED the ice cream around the pool - you can just go to a freezer and help yourself. Such a nice touch. Pools 4/5 - only 1 heated pool and is very small. Other pools are lovely to look at but on the cooler side. There is an indoor pool which was open and is nice tho ! Didn’t use the main pools at all because of them being too cold. However I did see lots of people in them so I guess it’s a matter of preference. Cocktails/beers 2/5 - only 3 cocktails available on the all inclusive and very very weak. My partner said the beer was very good! In my opinion I’d stick to the Prosecco as that’s also included as part of the AI. However this is a family hotel - I wasn’t there to get blind drunk!- but a little bit of an alcohol buzz would have been nice. Also during the day all drinks are served in paper cups - I’d have preferred plastic. Evening drinks served in proper glass though. Evening entertainment 5/5 - honestly I thought it was great and I really don’t like hotel entertainment AT ALL. Went on till late into the evening. Staff 5/5 - friendly polite and fast service at bars! Acknowledged my baby (more than 1 staff member- lots of them) when she waved which I really appreciate and also saw the staff interact politely with other children even when the parents weren’t there I never really thought about it before but actually it seemed as though the staff cared and enjoyed their jobs. I saw one kid trying to get a packet of crisps from the bar which wasn’t included in the AI and instead of the bar staff dismissing or ignoring the child, they tried hard to explain why the crisps weren’t included and to come back with mum/dad. I felt this was important to note as it shows respect regardless of age. Don’t change!!! Location 5/5 - excellent access - pram wheelchair friendly/short walk to beach 10/15 mins. All flat. Shops/bars/restaurants right outside hotel. Lifts 3/5 - saw some reviews mention how awful these were so I’ll break it down. 4 lifts/5 floors. I found you did have to wait and it was frustrating. It’s not too bad once you get used to it. Can see at the height of summer it being a problem but didn’t bother us as much as I thought based on reviews. Just take it for what it is. When we arrived one lift was broken but fixed very fast. Not the hotels fault but worthy of mention - On our second day one woman on floor 1 made a comment that we should have walked because we only had 1 stroller and not 2 like her - we had our room on floor 4, had baby and stroller, bags- going to ground 0!!! An Irish guy happened to be in the lift with us when she made this comment and said he’d had loads of these comments - I guess people don’t realise ANYONE regardless of whether they have a stroller or not is entitled to take the lift. Ignore these people. They’re rude and entitled. General cleanliness and facilities 5/5 - impressed with how clean all the public hotel toilets were - some hotels I’ve been to have been really gross regardless of how fancy the rest of the hotel is. Lovely friendly cleaners felt bad walking on the mopped floor but always greeted with a smile. Also Always somewhere to change my baby. Great facilities for wheelchair users and prams. I did find sometimes there was no soap in the ladies but my partner said there was always soap available in the men’s. Lol. Take of that what you will. Also high chairs in the restaurant/buffet were EXCELLENT quality and safe which is so important!!! Thank you. A la carte 1/5 - only went to the Italian and left after main. Disorganised and took too long. Didn’t receive main until after 1hr 15 min in by which time my baby had had enough and was tired. Left before dessert. Staff again were great but it was just too slow. A shame as the food is lovely. Can’t comment on the others. Beach 5/5 - ok it’s not actually part of the hotel but thought worthy of mention as I am a beach lover. White sand/blue sea. I’ve been to the Caribbean and this is honestly the closest to it I’ve ever got in Europe. Not quite as warm sea lol but absolutely beautiful. TOP TIP!!!!!! There are 3 sister bars/restaurants along the beachfront- behind are toilets/baby change facilities. So to wrap it up - DO NOT COME HERE if you’re a couple. It is family friendly. You will not enjoy this hotel if you’re looking for a chill or party holiday. DO come here if you’re a family. To the hotel - the negatives I’ve picked up are just for your consideration and as feedback. We loved our stay and would love to come back. It’s a fantastic hotel !!!!

Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! We booked All Inclusive through TUI and by we I mean myself , my partner and my one and three year old and I we had the most amazing time and are already considering another visit. The public areas are stylish, clean and packed with a wealth of great facilities - the staff are absolutely lovely and all add a personal touch to the holiday especially the restaurant staff, we ate in the Ibiza Restaurant and the waiter pictured below deserves a raise!! He and my one year old became buddies early on and he would always come over to our table and play dinosaurs with him or watch Toy Story with him on his tablet. The food was lovely and offered a great variety( The only possible improvement would be the Bacon but maybe that’s just an acquired taste). The view from the Balcony was mesmerising and our room offered a wealth of space and was regularly cleaned(The only improvement would be a bigger bin and slightly more cozy bedding). The swimming pools were lovely and clean with lots of sun loungers to go round! We were all thrilled with the entertainment on offer - all we could ask for is slightly more clarity on the location of family activities. The TUI Reps were also phenomenal and my daughter had her favourite moments both at the mini disco and doing the great activities at the kids club with their friendly and dedicated staff. There is so much to do for all ages, Thank you TUI and Protur Safari Park Aparthotel for giving my family the most magical holiday!

We came with our 7 month old daughter and I would 100% recommend this hotel. The hotel is incredibly clean and the staff are so friendly. They were also great with my daughter which is a bonus. Everything is so well thought out (even down to being able to buy food for the fish in the pond for a euro!). The location is fantastic and I can’t fault the food. I literally do not have a bad word to say about the hotel.

My family of three recently stayed at Protur Safari Park and overall, we had a positive experience. The rooms were spacious and there were good options for both indoor and outdoor swimming. We never had a problem finding available sun loungers, and the staff were friendly, especially the female receptionists. When our daughter had a small accident, outside of the hotel, and needed bandages, the receptionist was very caring. There were some nice activities for children, such as the petting zoo (farm) and a small water park that were included in the all-inclusive package. Additionally, the nearby beach was beautiful and there was a nice safari zoo with exotic animals. The hotel has abundance of food. You definitely won't go hungry here! However, there were a few areas where the hotel could improve. The sofa in our room was uncomfortable to sit on, and the rooms were not soundproof, so we could hear our neighbors in the evening. We were disappointed that we were never able to secure a table at the Indian restaurant, Goa, as it was always fully booked. The juices tasted bad and the desserts were generally mediocre, except for the ice cream. The food in the large buffet restaurant had a wide variety, but lacked flavor. This hotel is located one hour away from the airport, and transportation to/from the airport will cost between 85 to 95 euros each way. Overall, if you're looking for a family-friendly resort with decent amenities and lots of food options, Protur Safari Park could be a good choice. However, there are some areas that could be improved.

We were there in the first week of the season so it was reasonably quiet but gradually got busier as the week went on. Because we were there early we were able to book all 4 restaurants. The Italian was excellent, the Indian was very good , the Asian was Ok and the Tex Mex was awful with the food being cold. We are an older couple but still enjoyed the facilities Safari Park has to offer including the Mini Golf and the Indoor pool. The complex has lovely areas including a quieter area with small waterfalls with an abundance of fish. There was an amazing amount of sun beds so we could chose where we would wanted to be. The entertainment began with a mini disco which the kids loved. The adult entertainment came on at 9.30 and throughout the week there was a variety of acts including a Take That tribute band, Chinese Acrobats and a Magic act so on the whole it was very good. The dining room got really busy towards the end of the week with some queuing at busy times. The food on the whole was very good with lots of choice, however my only gripe was that it was only luke warm. On our last day we brought our cases down to Reception and proceeded to the dining room to have a light breakfast before our pick-up at 7.30am only to find it didn’t open until 8am. I have holidayed for many years, with usually an early flight, and have never experienced this before so we were quite disappointed. The resort is purpose built however there is a lovely long promenade and walks to Cala Millor one way and S’illot the other way. There are lots of boat trips on offer if that is your thing. Overall I would recommend Safari Park as we really enjoyed our holiday in spite of a few niggles.

Great place for famlies. 80% of all visitors are families with kids below 10y. You have to take this into serious consideration during meals 😉 and while at pools area. Great infrastructure for any kind od sport, free mini-golf and bikes, and realy impressive area for any activity. (Indoor pool - great advantage for kids during cold weather) Food and drinks are correct but not thrilling. Quite a standard for "all inclusive" . Unfortunately, good coffee is only available in nearby bars and restaurants ☹️ There are some strange rules in booking a la carte restaurants and they caused huge queues every day (and we are talking about May - before the season) Hotel except for families with children, probably for active seniors. I do not recommend couples without children looking for peace and relaxation in silence
