Great holiday at this hotel, it’s walking distance to the centre of port Alcudia which was perfect for being half board. The food in the evenings was good all round and the staff were efficient and friendly. Reception and concierge staff really stood out, they were fantastic and naturally friendly! Entertainment and kids pool were fantastic for our little one, although main pool needs quite a bit of maintenance. Room was really clean and tidy - didn’t love the glass bathroom doors, they lack privacy! However would definitely recommend this hotel and we were really happy!

Hotel's Favorite
First visit to zafiro palace. Booked very last minute so we we were limited with choice etc but after reading reviews on here this seemed like a good choice. Overall we had a lovely holiday and were generally happy with the hotel. Yes it has a few bad points etc but nothing that ruined our holiday or would stop us coming back. Rooms- We had two rooms between us. One junior suite and a one bedroom suite. Hotel managed to put us in blocks next to each other which was appreciated. Both rooms were really good sizes. Junior suite faced the pool- good for a nicer view but not great if you like to go to bed a bit earlier or have children etc as it was really noisy with the entertainment just outside. The one bedroom suite faced out onto the road and car park. Yes it wasn’t the prettiest view but it wasn’t offensive and we don’t go on holiday to sit on a balcony all day so this really didn’t bother us. In fact it was perfect for getting baby to nap during the day and at night. From what we picked up on to help others in choosing a room- We were concerned before we left about the bathroom/glass window situation. In the junior suite the glass panel looked from the living area to the bath tub. Shower and toilet were behind closed frosted doors so no privacy issue unless you were in the bath etc. In the one bed you could see the shower from the bedroom area. If you have older children etc or were worried on privacy they could simply not go into the bedroom at that time but it is tucked tight around the corner etc. for us again we loved it it meant that we could shower and watch the baby nap at the same time! Rooms were cleaned daily. Water and snacks on top also replaced daily free of charge. Anything in fridge is chargeable. The one bedroom suite had a kitchenette which was nicely hidden away like a wardrobe which we loved meant it was less overpowering in the room. Was perfect with a baby with microwave/kettle/ bigger fridge than standard room. Also had a hob/coffee machine and toasted. Plates/glasses and cutlery etc. Bathrobe and slippers provided. Plenty of wardrobe space. Big balcony. Good a/c. The swim up pools- whilst it’s seems like a good idea to lead straight onto a pool it means that you can get anybody on a sun lounger right opposite your room. For me I wouldn’t personally like it but like I say it would be perfect if you like to be able to sit on a balcony and then go into a pool straight away or not have to get up for a sun bed! There are gates at the end of your balcony for those with small children. There are also rooms with private pools attached. Again nice idea but not sure if you would get bored being in the same little square pool etc so not sure how much you would use it. Pools Good choice of pools and we didn’t find them too overcrowded during our time. Activities during the day-aqua aerobics, water polo etc. no hassling from staff either to join in. The sun beds! We were downstairs between 7.45-8.15 every morning as this is generally what time we woke up. We didn’t set an alarm etc. we always managed to get a sun bed where we wanted one and there was always still plenty of choice left so I’m not sure where people getting up at 6am were trying? If you want prime position front and center or one of the daybeds situated in the pool then yes probably get up at 6am. The beds are tight but the layout of the pools means there isn’t an over amount of room for beds to go in other places etc so what would people rather them take away beds to give those more space? The other complaint about people not using their beds either- it was so hot during our stay that you had to spend most of your time in the water you couldn’t sit in it or we certainly couldn’t and neither could most people so look around the pool and all you’ll see is beds with no one sat on them, doesn’t always mean they aren’t using them though. I don’t know why people complain about sun beds everyone knows the deal on holidays it’s no different anywhere you go. Is it right?no but that’s the way it is unfortunately. The hotel could probably enforce a policy of no towels on beds before 7/8am etc but that would still take a lot of staff to monitor all the different pools. Lifeguards dotted about the pools- some better than others. Watch out for the wet bubble in the main pool- bigger kids tend to get overly boisterous throwing each other off the top and as a result stops younger children being able to enjoy it aswell. Some lifeguards were hot on stopping them etc but not all of them. Swim up pool bar was a nice idea but does get busy. Kids pirate ship pool was really fun aswell. Pool towels provided for you. Food Overall we were pleased with the food. We only used the buffet restaurant as none of the a la carte appealed to us. Basically we always managed to find something to eat. Struggled on a couple of occasions but we did eat. One night was seafood night which meant it was literally all seafood- from the salad section right through. Even half the desserts were gone for sushi. If your not into fish you would be pretty stuck. There is always a kids section with chips/nuggets/fish fingers. Always pizza and pasta every night. Selection of meats etc. we’re very fussy people and we are always nervous to go on holiday from a food aspect but like I say we never didn’t eat something just some nights were better than others for choice. Signage of foods could be better aswell. They didn’t always correspond to what they were etc. breakfast was a good choice, large selection of pretty much everything. The queue for pancakes though! The poor chef couldn’t cook them quick enough. we also went to the restaurant for lunch and paid extra as we were half board. It was €28 for an adult. If you could eat a fair bit and get your moneys worth. For us it was just easier than going out of the hotel in the heat. They only have half the buffet open for lunch though so less choice. There is a restaurant by the pools but it always seemed a bit mad in there so we never bothered. Breakfast-queues to get seated from 8.45 onwards most mornings just to be warned. It does move quickly though I think it’s more because of the process they have for someone physically seating you so it isn’t a complete free for all. Only point to add was it seemed that the quieter the restaurant was the less attentive the staff became at clearing tables etc. Entertainment The only thing that we were disappointed with during our stay. Nothing starts until 9pm which feels late when you have young children. Then it’s an act for an hour and then some kids dances. Why they can’t have a mini disco on at 8:8.30ish makes no sense. The shows were okay some better than others but it was so distracting outside as it’s just people walking about constantly, some will just stop and stand right in front of you etc but it’s just constant movement so makes it harder for you to follow what’s happening. The animation team also have something going on inside aswell starting at 9 like face painting/balloon animals- which means you then have to miss the show whilst you go and get that stuff done etc. Best show for us was the Soul Avenue singers on our last night-they were really good and tried so hard to get the audience going and most people still sat there so miserable. It just ruins the atmosphere in some ways. There is a nice kids play area with climbing frame/slide and a bouncy castle. We had a few issues with things breaking in the rooms and these were always dealt with quickly. Staff very helpful and friendly. Other useful tips- Supermarket straight across the road from hotel- sells pretty much everything you could need and a large choice of inflatables etc-allowed in the pools. 5/10 min walk to port area. Overall- The hotel is not perfect no and I suppose for the money paid and it being a 5 star etc you would potentially expect a bit more. I do think Spanish 5 star and English 5 star can be two different things though. If you are used to absolute perfection etc then this probably isn’t the holiday for you. Yes we had one towel in our room with a hole in-doesn’t mean it spoiled my holiday! Yes there was the odd plate that still had specks of food on-again put it down and choose another one! I think some people like to moan for the sake of it or try to find fault in everything. Yes the hotel is busy it’s the summer holidays? A holiday is what you make of it and if the little touches are going to bother you then maybe change your mind.

We had the most amazing 10 days at Zafiro Palace with our six month old baby. The hotel is beautiful with lovely grounds and gardens which are well maintained and very clean. The staff are very hard working, friendly and welcoming. The team working in the market restaurant were especially lovely and our little boy loved the attention he received. The hotel is only a five minute walk from the port/beach and we would often do a walk along the seafront after breakfast. The old town is around 20 minutes walk, and really easy to get to if of interest. We enjoyed a wander around it. The food was excellent and you are spoiled for choice between the market restaurant buffet and 4 a la carte restaurants. The options at lunch were ideal too. With all inclusive we were able to eat in the a la carte restaurants 6 times during our 10 day holiday. We had no issues with being able to book and managed to visit our favourites (El Olivo and Taste & Sushi bar) twice. You are able to book three days in advance so we made sure we booked first thing when the dates first became available. The food is some of the best we have eaten in a hotel. We had fillet steak, sushi, scallops, cod and the selection at breakfast buffet is excellent (including freshly made omelette, pancakes and smoothies). The drinks are also excellent - lovely wine, beer and cocktails. With other all inclusive hotels I have found that the alcohol is not premium brands and the cocktails are watered down and sugary. This was not the case at Zafiro Palace. We were also able to get bottles of wine for our room via the various bars. There is also puréed baby food on the menu at the a la carte restaurants which was a big help for us as we have just started weaning our little boy. We were staying in a (penthouse suite with whirlpool). The room was beautiful with good views of the pool. The bed was also very spacious and comfy - even with our baby ending in our bed most nights… We were in block 5 which suited us as we could watch the kids swimming disco at 5pm from the balcony, but we were far away from evening entertainment location so the noise didn’t impact our baby sleeping at night. The room had a two floor balcony, and the second floor balcony had a whirlpool, sunloungers and table. The whirlpool was great. It was a lot warmer that the swimming pools and it suited us to be able to use it when our baby was napping in the room. However, I don’t think it would suit families with toddlers and young children as you have to climb steep steps to a second floor balcony to access the whirlpool and cabana and there is no gate at the bottom of the steps. There also isn’t much privacy within the bathroom area of the room. The toilet door is frosted glass and right next to the shower, bath and sinks. The pool area was also great with a choice of various pools and a swim up bar (the waiters working here were very friendly and always making our little boy laugh). However, I did find the pool pretty cold, especially when the weather was a little cloudy. Our baby was too young to appreciate the pirate ship and slides, but I imagine this is a lot of fun for older kids. We never had any problem getting sunbeds at the pool and just usually placed towels down before or after going to breakfast. The only feedback we would have for the hotel is that the entertainment was on quite late at 9pm so we never had to the chance to enjoy it. That said, it didn’t really impact on the holiday. Overall we had a really amazing holiday with special memories to last a lifetime. It felt like somewhere the whole family could enjoy - good quality food and drinks for the adults and great pools and adventures for the kids. We would certainly consider returning next year.

We stayed here on are first Family holiday. Not everything is inclusive mini bar room service selected drinks etc. Pools were stone cold. Buffets we’re terrible and kept running out of food like eggs at breakfast. Service was terrible like they were told not to offer you drinks to reduce there expenditure. Entertainment on far to late for young children. All in all it’s just not quite up to it as a 5 star hotel

We have, nonetheless, taken note of your comments for consideration. Could not fault the service in any area of the hotel. Spacious room with all the facilities we needed and beautifully maintained by the friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect for me with shopping, bars and restaurants in the nearby port area and the charming old town which was within easy reach. I really liked the layout of the hotel which allows easy access to all pools and facilities. I think the hotel app could have more information about events, timings and account, spending etc but I understand this might be difficult because it is generic for all Zafiro hotels.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay. This was our first family holiday (my son is 2, nearly 3) it was so good! The pools are fab, they have various long ‘swim up’ pools, a kids pool with splash zone and pirate ship, a bigger pool with a bounce pillow and swim up bar, and a pool with space reserved for lap swimming, there’s also an 18+ pool and an indoor pool but we didn’t use those. The staff are so friendly, especially the bar man at the pool bar with the top knot. We felt so well taken care of by him. Also the girls who dance for the kids and all the chefs at the buffet - plus waiters. In fact everyone including gardeners and cleaners said hola to us when we passed and many interacted with my little boy which made him feel special. We didn’t use the kids club because my little man was too young but there were still plenty of activities he could join in on, some here have mentioned that the evening entertainment was late but we actually found it to be perfect - by the time it finished our son was so tired he didn’t fight us to go to bed, which worked well. The entertainment was mostly really good. The Spanish dancers, the souls singers and the country band were stand outs. My son loved the kids dance at the end of every night and we all came away with the hotel song stuck in our heads. I can imagine if you have a pool view near the stage that might get noisy but we couldn’t hear it from our family room. The food was brilliant. I’ve done a lot of all inclusive buffets before and this was the best by far. Also the staff were so quick at clearing plates and easy to get more drinks. It was also great to have the choice of using the all inclusive in the al a carte restaurants once per restaurant. There were lots of activities for adults too including the aqua gym. The two girls that took that deserve an award for sweating in the heat, jumping around while we were nice and cool in the pool. The gardeners do a fantastic job of keeping the grounds looking gorgeous and the housekeepers did a brilliant job too, really above and beyond with little touches like finding a cap my son had stolen and putting it back on the right bottle. We found the internet to be very fast and available throughout the hotel. Only a few negatives and really I’m being very picky here. 1. No chain or bolt on the door of the bedroom which meant I spent a lot of time over night worried that my son would wake up while I was asleep and let himself out. It would be nice to have the option of a chain. Similarly there wasn’t a peephole or spyhole, which wasn’t ideal for my sister who was a young woman in a room on her own. 2. The router in the room was high up and glowed so brightly it kept us awake a little bit. Perhaps a dimmer sticker over it would help 3. The spa wasn’t great, the massage was quite expensive (although comparable to other hotels live been to) but it was just really a couple of rooms off a hallway that lead to the reception so when I was having my massage I could hear very clearly the coming and goings in the reception including screaming children and crying babies which was not relaxing. A door put up just passed the gym before the desk would have helped. The rooms were quite bright and bare, just not really a luxurious experience. Also the masseuse forgot one of my arms and my 80 minute massage was only 72! When it’s 135 euros that’s nearly 14 euros worth! (I’m saying that for comic effect but you get the point) Ultimately these small negatives didn’t ruin or detract from the holiday and overall we had the most amazing holiday and I’m sure we will return next summer, although next time I won’t book a massage.

On arrival the hotel staff and first impressions at reception were brilliant. Layout of the hotel and its grounds are very good. Staff were brilliant and very friendly with our 14 month old son. Unfortunately myself had struggled with the food which give me diarrhoea and a trip to the pharmacy was needed….. food wasn’t great for a 5 star if I’m honest. Worst part of the trip was my son catching Hand,Foot and Mouth. We noticed to bites on his arms and just thought he’d been bitten. Wasn’t until we were in the reception where we got talking to another couple who informed us there son had Hand,Foot and Mouth which definitely came from the hotel. On our way home today our son has signs of this around his elbows, mouth and neck. Clearly the hotel cleanliness isn’t up to scratch and they definitely don’t clean at a 5 star Hotel. Also, avoid the kids park….it’s very old and battered (probably doesn’t get clean and where the Hand,Foot and Mouth comes from). Shame as we looked forward to staying in the hotel. Another couple of issues, room didn’t get cleaned the first 2 days and got charged for items from the mini bar. Be careful people.

Very friendly and serviceminded staff and amazing place to stay at with kids! Possible to go with the stroller, and a very nice babypool - they even had a baby menu! Also a very luxury hotel that gave the right vibe for our vacation. There were a lot of options to choose among for dinner but not so rich taste as I am prefering. But nice to have the option to eat at the hotel. A lot of other restaurants to chose among just close to the hotel.
