Nice hotel though surrounding area a bit grim. Staff at reception not overly friendly but in restaurant they were very nice and helpful Worth checking what room you are booking as we had an issue on arrival when we had booked a penthouse room with private hot tub which was shown in the photos as being a duplex - stairs clearly in photos. We were travelling with kids and wanted to have somewhere to sit once they were in bed without disturbing them. On arrival our room was single level on the first floor (not penthouse). Assuming it was error we got in touch with reception and got rather frosty responses that it was a 'penthouse' room. Apparently they classified it as such though not an actual penthouse. In the end we got moved but not a great way of managing the situation. Well worth upgrading to all inclusive but do it once you get there as works out better value than in advance. Premium spirits and cocktails included so really extensive drinks menu - and great food selection. Definitely need to book restaurants in advance as they fill up quickly. Kids pool also is quite cold until it heats up in the afternoon as it is located in the shade. Ours didn't mind but they shivered a lot! Overall good holiday.…
Had the most amazing time fantastic resort location is brilliant we will be returning. Staff were very nice and friendly room was amazing with are swim up pool. Beach is close by and is amazing shops as well
Despite the situation that everyone is going through (COVID-19), the staff takes the 5 stars. Always friendly, professional and ready to solve any problem or question.Entertainment was limited due to covid but that was not a problem for my daughters to have fun in the pool or at the kids club drawing or making crafts. Thank you Zafiro for everything!
Zafiro Palaca Alcudia is the perfect hotell in every aspect. Excellent rooms, service, pool area and all inclusive dining experience. We've stayed there for 4 vacations out of 5. Really recommend the Swim up suites.
We visited zafiro Palace for a weeks holiday with our young daughters and my parents. We’d originally booked zafiro palma nova however we were moved here as they were not opening this year. I must admit I was very worried before arriving as I was so unsure what to expect; I should not have been concerned - we all had the most wonderful week. The hotel is beautiful and spotlessly clean with lots of safety procedures in place. Masks were worn by every member of staff all day long. We wore our masks in Reception and the restaurants when walking around. The hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes walk to the beach and shops. It is even quicker if you cut through the path between block 3 which, via a key controlled gate, leads to the car park at the back of the hotel. From there, the shops and beach are just across the road. We were allocated 2 junior suites which had been upgraded to a pool view however on arrival we paid to upgrade to ground floor zafiro suites with a pool view. This was the best decision as the zafiro suites were wonderful: lots of room for our families and wonderful access to the pools. I was a little concerned after reading about the open plan bathrooms but even though it is a little strange it certainly wasn’t a problem. The house keeping did a superb job of keeping the rooms and communal areas immaculately clean and tidy. The pool areas were amazing! Our little girls had a brilliant time in the bubble pool and playing on their floaties in the other pools. We never had an issue with sun loungers but this could be due to the reduced number of guests. There was no children’s club, except the daily disco in the pool at 4:00pm but this was not an issue for our children and totally understandable considering the current situation. Similarly, there was no evening entertainment bar the 2 nights we saw a singer who was on quite early. Again, we were quite happy to sit and have a drink playing card games. We stayed on an all inclusive basis and could not fault the quality of food or drinks. The first day of our holiday was a little chaotic as every item in the restaurant was being served to you, this resulted in quite long queues. However, after listening to guests’ concerns, this was then changed so lots of food stations became self service again. This eased the congestion in the dining room and made dining much easier. We are in 2 of the allocate restaurants, both meals were delicious. Lunch was from the restaurant above the pool each day, although some days we asked for take away to eat on our balcony or around the pool. I must make a special mention to the wonderful staff. They worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had the best holiday possible. Every member of staff was always polite, helpful and always cheerful despite working long hours wearing masks in 36 degree heat. Thank you - you made our holiday; despite all the changes and uncertainty this year has brought. We would highly recommend zafiro palace Alcudia and would happily return next year.…
