Lovely hotel, a very warm welcome from Xavier on reception. Greeted with a smile and glass of Prosecco which was lovely! We arrived early so our room was not quite ready (we didn’t expect it to be either) but we were given access to all the amenities and told our room would be ready in 1 hour which it was. We were upgraded from a basic room to a side sea view. Our room was fabulous! We had room 233 (side sea view over the gym). Perfect location. Great view. The pool area is lovely. The staff cannot do enough for you. We were room only so can’t comment on the food however we did get coffee on a morning and the breakfast looked great. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat! The location is perfect, right on the beach. Close to bars and restaurants. We had a wonderful time and we can’t wait to go back. We really didn’t want to leave! A special mention to Xavier who always looked up and smiled and said good morning/afternoon/evening without fail every time we passed reception. He really is an asset to the hotel for making people feel so welcome. …
Fantastic hotel, very serviceminded staff and a manager who was there all The time to guide and help his team. You don´t feel it, and you don´t see it, but they watch you all The time, to make sure, that you don´t miss anything, amazing stealth mode 😁 behave properly and show them respect and they will treat you like a king. 14 days in a little paradise!
Lovely hotel as always, we loved the renovations done, food was lovely and the rooms are great, comfy beds and pillows to choose from. The staff work hard to ensure everyone enjoys their time but it was sad to see Veronica the lifeguard is not there anymore, she was an asset to the hotel, it has lost alot around the pool area and the attention is not the same
The hotel is nice, very good breakfast. We were dissapointed that the pool area had no background music. Also you have to pay for the cabanas by the grass. Very good with activity, like water excersize or bike trips. When me and my sister stayed, the age of the guest was maybe 50+ so not too many young adults. We only had a “normal” room, so got one on the same floot as the reception, with almost no sun in the backyard and also it was really noisy in the morning since the cleaners had little a room for equipment next door. All in all a little disappointet by the room compared to pictures, but at least it was big.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. We stayed for our honeymoon and were so disappointed that we had twin beds rather than a double! We stayed in one of the rooms with a hot tub on the balcony. The food was excellent with a fantastic selection at all meals and the restaurant staff and chefs were incredibly helpful and friendly.
Location is just perfect, 1 step from the beach, and a 5 min walk from the main shop and restaurant area. Nice hotel for adults . This is my first review so hope it helps someone . I will start from reception ,nice welcoming from Ana, very attentive and helpful from the first day to the last, avoid the other girl who did not seem interested in guests. Bar, restaurants are great, bar is not to busy during the day so it was perfect, and the restaurant was busy at first but ok if you went for a late dinner , food was very nice from breakfast with a wide range of selections to dinner with options for everyone. The staff are ok they try their best but you could see they were stressed at some points, maybe more staff, but lovely staff there, Florian at the bar, Toni , Ana, Lina thank you! Well, now the best in the hotel , the Pool area ! Lovely and relaxing place, except for the dog days! People complain about reserved sunbeds but come on, there is plenty of sunbeds free, it’s not like they have all gone! Always found one no matter what time you went down, or Veronica the amazing lifeguard would help you find one, what a star she is! She would even inform you about the times the sun goes in every sunbed, so depending if you want sun or shade she will tell you where to lie. Anything you need ask her, she will go out of her way to help, she even help the poor girl in the poolbar when she had queue, which was appreciated by most guests, She will recommend places to eat, to walk, great for a chat when you want. She also does a great job tidying the pool in the afternoon, she makes shure she leaves all umbrellas and sunbeds perfect. The poolbar is a great idea but at some points they should have 2 waiters as it gets very busy , but Carol takes it easy and does not get stressed, lovely girl! Next, Mirablua, we had lunch there twice as veronica recomended it, I have to say it was lovely, paella and pizza where great. Service was also lovely despite they were all rushing about in that heat, fair play to them! Entertainment, well not the best, a few times not to say most of them we were left waiting for someone to appear for the activities in the board, and nobody knew where the entertainer was, we just got to see her twice in the week for a 39 min boring aqua gym with music which kept stoping every minute. Then another day we were waiting to go for a walk tour but she never turned up so we went alone instead and lovely walks around and lovely old town. Maybe a active entertainer who will deal with the guests would be great . Rooms are great, spacious and comfortable beds, and lovely bathrooms with a walk in shower plus great views from the side of the beach, the only negative thing was the barking dog, had read other reviews about it but though it had been solved…. He barks all day when you are in the pool area relaxing and all night when you try to sleep. There is no kettle in the room but if you ask reception they take it up straight away, 2 pool towels in the room which you can change every day with the lifeguard. There is also a different selection of pillows. And last the manager, a lovely polite italian gentleman who takes great care of the customer and seems to be around making shure every department is up to a standard, he does not mind getting his hands dirty helping around when needed. I think apart from the great location , what makes this hotel unique is the staff, Ana, Veronica, Carol, Florian, Toni, the manager…. We will definitely come back next year to see them all. Thank you…
It is a good hotel and we knew exactly where we were going to in terms of the resort, cause we've stayed in Alcudia before. So no surprises there. Nice sandy beach is just across a footpath, sea is nice warm and shallow. In terms of the service however we expected a tad bit more given that we've paid 370 euro per night for a standard room. The room itself was fine, decent size and a big terrace. Room location wise it can be hit and miss though, as you might end up with night entertainment under your terrace, which although not last long into the night (thank god) is a bit of a nuisance none the less. There are enough sunbeds at the pool (if you come before 12 at least), but yes, people do tend to book with towels and nothing is being done about it. The frozen towels they give out around lunchtime is a nice touch. The QR code system for drinks at the pool sounded like a great idea, cause I really haven't seen anyone to otherwise order drinks from, or at least on regular basis. So when we first used it and the beers came within 3 minutes it seemed like a perfect arrangement. Unfortunately that was rather a coincidence than a rule. Next day when we ordered the drinks with a QR code they never came. After 30 minutes of waiting we went to the pool bar and it turned out no-one even looked at the orders that come through that system... So maybe better remove the QRs? Make people go to the bar and get the drinks themselves if there is no staff to wait... Otherwise what came as a good idea turned into your guests getting annoyed for nothing. Getting drinks at the dinner sometimes left us waiting a bit longer than comfortable too. Food was not bad. We had no choice when booking, cause it was HB only but although we were sceptical, we've found the dinner choice to be better than we expected. Nothing outstanding but good, solid 4 out of 5. Given the choice though I would go for BB as there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Overall my concern is value for money. I understand this was basically first summer after COVID and everyone just wanted to go on holiday no matter the price, but we did expect a better service for the money we've paid. Oh and it so happened that we had to cut our holiday short due to a family emergency thus losing most of the money paid. No-one could care less, hotel told us to contact our tour operator, tour operator simply decided to ignore us. We've learned our lesson and so should you - get a travel insurance.…
Good points * Spacious rooms with large furnished balconies & good power shower * Beautiful white sand beach with shallow water & sun-beds & parasols to rent (although it’s a bit wiffy sometimes!) * Huge TV in room with 5 English channels including BBC1 & ITV * Empty mini fridge in the room to fill up with your own drinks you can purchase from one of the supermarkets across the road * Pleasant, hard working staff in the Adagio restaurant & on reception * The Hotel Manager is very visible & approachable, excellent customer interaction * Live music at breakfast is fantastic, cellist, pianist, harpist, music beautifully played * Cabanas to rent at €15 per day * Tasty food in the restaurant & delicious jugs of sangria * Bus service to Alcudia old town is frequent & excellent (though extremely busy on market days & cloudy days!) Not so good points * No snack bar or cafe for lunch, the only option is the rather expensive hotel beachside restaurant * The staff at the pool bar have attitude & don’t know how to make some of the drinks on the menu. Even when you order a simple beer they pour you half a glass of beer with 2 inches of froth! * The inside bar is very quiet with no permanent bar tender, we would use the QR code on the table to order but the orders were just ignored until you asked someone * The beds are twin beds & made up as such with a gaping hole in the middle & single sheets, not ideal if you want a cuddle! * We had a barking dog outside of our room on the side of the hotel (room 230) & it was relentless, morning, noon & night. In summary, we enjoyed our holiday to the Viva golf, it’s a 4* hotel as it should be. The shops around the hotel & in the port are very touristy but Alcudia old town is beautiful with lovely boutiques & fantastic tapas restaurants.…
Great holiday in a great place. Even thought they are short staff they did everything in their hands so we could enjoy our stay. From reception (marga) , bar staff ( florian, jenni, robert) , cleaners and Veronica the lifeguard. They all work hard and thanks to them the hotel is authentic. Lovely rooms, views, lovely food, and in a great location. Nice and quiet with no children. Maybe a few small changes could be done but nothing that ruined our stay. We will be back
So many things great about this place , rooms have comfortable beds, and ours had a private rooftop terrace available directly from our room up some stairs with gorgeous beach front views. Staff is wonderful , quality is high and my favorite thing was they have chrome cast in the room which means you can stream your apps on your phone to the TV in hotel. So we casted our Netflix ti the TV and before going to bed at night watched true crime documentaries ! Lol Location is 5 mins walk from marina where all the restaurants are, so really couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.
