I like this hotel, I've gone off all inclusive holidaying as my kids are fussy eaters and i only really like it for the beer and i don't want to book self catering in an all inclusive hotel. This hotel was friendly and the food downstairs in the restaurant was not over priced and as good if not better than some of the restaurants we ate out in. The pool has a constant lifeguard and i never met 1 rude staff member. It's clean and the pool is nice. Plus it's at the start of the strip so easy access to all the bars and restaurants. It'll take you around 10 minutes to walk to the beach.

Having visited this hotel a few times with my daughter it was lovely to be back after the last terrible 18 months. Reception staff are faces I recognise and extremely helpful and professional as allways. Nothin is to much trouble and the help where ever needed. Rooms very clean and have everything in needed for a nice comfortable stay. Fridge, microwave toaster etc if you prefer to make the odd meal in the room. Swimming pool clean and allways have a attendant on. Sarah the entertainment girl allways makes an effort, especially with the kids. Due to rules at the moment it’s slightly different but everyone seems to stick to them. Wearing masks indoors and not sharing lifts with other groups. Sad to see the area quieter than usual but I’m sure it will pick up again as travel reopens. Ate at pool bar few times. Only thing I’d say is due to the lack of guests at moment staff levels are little low so when it does go busy at times of day they do struggle with service. Again sure this will go back to usual standards as thing pick up. Lovely beech, does need to be enjoyed! Legends bar opposite very friendly and the Ti Oli amd Roma restaurants down the road are excellant and great with kids. Please go and enjoy this lovely part of the world and get back out there!!!!

Dear ijgas75 & family Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us at Apartamentos Siesta I. We are very pleased to know that you have once again enjoyed your stay with us, it is nice to see familiar guests returning to enjoy themselves after so many hard months! We will make sure that we tell all the department managers that you have given them a kind mention and yes, we know that at times certain departments are very busy, however the current occupation level and the way that guests are making bookings (all very last minute) does not give us enough scope to foresee and act accordingly. Unlike other years, when we knew weeks in advance on what days we would be busy or not! Thank you for giving Sara, our entertainer, a mention. She has worked very hard these last few weeks and she will be delighted to know that she made a positive impact on your stay. Thank you once again and we will hope to welcome you back in 2022. Yours sincerely, Daniella M. Burley on behalf of The Management

As a family of 5 we stayed at the Apartamentos Siesta 2. The flat is great. It's super clean, comfortable and with great view of the pool. The staff at reception couldn't do enough to help us. They were always available, extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The gym/ entertainment lady was also fantastic with nice activities for the whole family to join in. The pool is great too with an attentive life guard always present. There's a restaurant on site, but it mainly caters for the British guests who still want to have their chips abroad, nonetheless, the staff there were good too. We had a fantastic time there and definitely recommend it.

My family and I have stayed in Alcudia a few times over the last couple of years and have always stayed at BelleView. This year we wanted to keep in the same area but try a different hotel and it was a great choice. On arrival we was greeted by a friendly gentleman who welcomed us all with a smile on his face. We arrived around midnight and he directed us to the restaurant just on the corner, opposite BelleView for some food. The first day at the pool, the lifeguard was happy and asked if we can fill out track and trace and in the restaurant, the breakfast was amazing. Lots of selection and so much brought out. The restaurant staff were happy and willing to help the best they can and they provided great service. The pool area was quiet due to the circumstances and it was easy to get a sunlonger in a ideal place for us with children. A few days into our stay, the entertainment started up again. Sara, the entertainer was friendly and walked around the pool to introduce herself and with the help from the life guard done some games in the pool. Located in the BelleView is the place to get your covid test done for €30 and you get your results in about 30mins. Over the weekend, I found the pool area got a little more busy but everyone was still friendly. Overall, we had a great time and holidays are what you make of them yourself. We would return here in a heartbeat.

Dear bellamich91 and family Thank you very much for your review following your stay with us at Apartamentos Siesta I, we are very pleased to know that you have enjoyed your stay. We will make sure that your kind comments are passed-on to the Bar & Restaurant staff, the lifeguards, Sara the entertainer and, of course, Reception. We all work very hard and it is a lot more challenging with all that Covid-19 has thrown into the mix, with the new restrictions, etc. So it is very rewarding for us to know that you have enjoyed your stay here. We hope to welcome you back in the near future and let's hope that it will be when everything is a bit more "normal" and you can once again enjoy holidays as we all remember them. Thank you. Yours sincerely, Daniella M. Burley Management

Finding this review a tricky one so I will complete it in parts as follows.. On arrival... What we expected at first sight. We took a private hire transfer from the airport which was much quicker than the cattle wagon so it was quiet on arrival/check in. As we had booked 2 rooms and stated this on our booking requests we thought we may have been accommodated a little closer to our second party. We ended up on the 7th floor and 4th floors. Not too much of an issue to be fair. We were given a 1 bedroom accomodation with twin beds in the room and a sofa bed in the living room. Again, not too much of a problem. Room fair enough for what we have paid. To be continued... Midway... Cons... So it's become apparent that this hotel suffers from the viral infection of the sun lounger hoggers. Countless towels left on sun loungers that are then not occupied till even late afternoon. And yes I have told the staff about this. They agreed this was not fair but have not done anything about it to which I can see. I am also certain there are permanent resident living in the the hotel. You can see some of the balconies have items you wouldn't expect of holiday makers and there is a dog residing in a room somewhere near us that is continually barking at all hours which has become very annoying especially at 2am. We have also noted that one of the female reception staff is very rude in her manner of talking to you. Both my wife and I have experienced this on a few occasions now. She is also quick to discipline those not wearing a mask unless it's herself stood by the entrance smoking. I also approached her to inform her that one of the lifts had the overwhelming smell off vomit in it. She replied very abruptly "well it shouldn't because I've just cleaned it"...regardless wether you have cleaned it or not... It does infact still smell horrific. Just saying. Pros... Maids have been in the room on the days stated. The kids are loving the pool area, swimming and playing. There is a child's water area at the back which is quite good also. The life guards on duty have been excellent. You usually come across game faced guards which are quick to spoil fun but here they have been very friendly and helpful. Helping with parasols and loungers and talking to the kids and making visible patrols around the pool. Nice. The hotel dining area looks more like a cafe/bar area than a restaurant but it serves good food at a very reasonable price. We have eaten there for dinner twice and an evening meal. All meals have been satisfying. They also offer a 3 course deal for 12 euro and the portion sizes were huge. Always pleasant to have a decent meal at hand if needed. The hotel itself is at the end of the strip so you can walk up and down towards the beach and amongst bars and shops etc. Beach has been nice but there is no drinks/foods vendors currently which we didn't realise so we had to leave sooner than we would have liked to get refreshments. Be sure to take plenty of drinks and a packed lunch with you for a day at the beach. Shops all seem to be selling the same items, fake branded clothing, counterfeit football kits and poor quality sunglasses. There is an ice cream parlour just before the bridge next to the all star bar which serves incredible ice creams, waffles and crepes... I'm sure the lovely woman behind the counter is laughing under her mask at us as we have been every evening after our meals without fail. Brilliant. To be continued... Last night before leaving for home... It's 01:30am and I've awoken to a horrendously loud buzzing sound coming from outside. May aswell finish the review... So we have ventured out to see more of the area. Its clear we are in the budget hotel of the area. The hotels closer to the beach are alot nicer looking. The hotel across from us, Belle Vue, seemed to have a lot more people staying but of a younger audience. We noticed some loud music playing around their busy pool area. Just outside that hotel also happens to be the nearest covid testing centre in a small doctors surgery next to a spar. We had our 2 days before leaving covid test there for 30 euro each, booked via online. (I will post a photo of the QR link code to the online booking portal if I can) Final thoughts... If you want to stay in this area and are on a budget and don't mind the sound of dogs barking at 2am in neighbouring rooms, then this may be the hotel for you. The hotel cafe/bar serves reasonable food for a reasonable price. The pool is lovely when you can get a lounger and parasol and the lifeguards are friendly. Wouldn't hurt if they fixed the pool lighting as your balcony view at night would look miles nicer. The hotel is clean and our rooms were given plenty of fresh towels. All the reception staff seem friendly enough except for one lady who can be a little rude at times. The man that works on reception sometimes is really helpful and goes out of his way to assist you. Great guy. According to staff all the rooms of the same size are together so for example if you chose a studio and a 2 bed, or a 1 bed and a 2 bed, you won't be near eachother, from what I understand. The beach is approximately a 15 to 20 minute walk and doesn't seem to have any refreshment vendors so take drinks with you. The beach has loungers and parasol for rent for 13 euros and there appears to be plenty of water sports activities to do. You can walk along the beach upto port d'alcudia which is approximately another 20 minutes or a taxi from the hotel will cost you between 7 and 9 euros. Here you will find lots of shops and restraunts.. (check out muddy's, delicious steaks!) There is also a large market on Sundays at the castle d'alcudia. We've just returned our room key as our transfer to the airport is here and I've just seen a dog come out of a lift at reception with a woman. Our suspicions confirmed... Grrrr. Read all the reviews aswell as mine. Research the area and available accommodations. Thanks for reading and enjoy your trip.

Dear MattJamesOnFoot Thank you very much for your detailed review of your stay at Apartamentos Siesta I and your holiday in Puerto de Alcudia in general. We thank you for your comments. We will briefly address some of the issues that you have raised. We allow dogs in this building. We often have tourists staying with us who have come on the ferry from the other Balearic islands (especially Minorca), the South of France or Spain mainland, and they often bring their dogs with them. We have informed all tour operators of this and it is also stated on the online information of sites such as Booking, Expedia, etc. This building is also partly residential, something that all tour operators know as it has always been so, ever since we obtained the tourism licence to host tourists back in the 1980's. And yes, some residents have dogs. Some residents live here all of the year, some have holiday-homes here and only usually come in the Summer months. In any case, when there are disturbances of noise (any kind), we try our very best to get to the bottom of it and we will inform the offending party if they are playing loud music, if their dog is barking, etc. As you can appreciate, it is a very large building and sometimes the noise isn't actually coming from our own building. We cannot be responsible for noise coming from the BelleVue complex or any of the other 2 Siesta buildings, as they have nothing to do with us. But we will always try our very best to cut noise to a minimum in our own building and if necessary, we will call the police. I am sorry to know that noise has been an issue during your stay. I have to say that I have checked Reception's log-book, and I have not read any incidents referring to either of the apartments were your party were staying in. Regarding your comment about the Reception team member, thank you for telling us. We will make sure that these issues are raised with them. The pool lighting will be fixed shortly, the electrician whom we call for these issues was waiting for a part to be delivered. We have spoken to him today and he will be coming in the next few days, unfortunately sometimes parts have be ordered from Spain mainland or Europe and can take time to get here. Please note that the food & drink vendors on the beach are actually illegal, and Alcudia Town Hall have made a conscious effort of trying their best to stamp-out illegal sellers to tourists in the last few months. The mayoress told us this herself, in a meeting that we had with some of the Town Hall members, just at the beginning of this year's tourism season. Regarding the beach bars, again this is something that is to do with the Town Hall, and a specific licence that these bars need to be able to open and serve. We hope that this issue is solved soon. We thank you once again for your review and we hope that you enjoyed your stay in Puerto de Alcudia, despite the issues raised. Yours sincerely, Daniella M. Burley on behalf of The Managemnet
